"Better than I expected, it's that kind of classic, stately hotel. The ambiance is beyond words, like a hidden paradise. The facilities and hygiene are a bit outdated, but it's perfectly fine for a stay. They offer free bicycle rentals, and there's an à la carte noodle shop in the basement that's great value for money. There's also a convenience store within a 10-minute walk from the entrance, which are all bonus points. I loved it."

"The hotel is tired looking. It is badly in need of a refurbishment.The buffet dinner and breakfast is only average. The room is old and we were only given 1 room key which was most inconvenient when we go to the onsen separately. The onsen is quite good though old and dim. The best thing about this hotel is the mixed outdoor onsen which is big and has a beautiful view."

"The hotel is exquisite and lovely, with a view from the window, and it is very clean and orderly, the service is warm, and the food hygiene is very good. Relatively speaking, the hot spring is a little worse. The hotel is very convenient to the Kurodake Cable Car and Maple Valley Bus Station!"

"Service: Enthusiastic and incredibly patient. Environment: There's a shuttle service from Qingchi, and the waterfall is just a stone's throw away. Hot Springs: Several pools, and not too crowded. What surprised me the most was how delicious the food was! Both breakfast and dinner are buffets with fresh, tasty ingredients. The sweet shrimp had a wonderfully refreshing sweetness. I'll definitely stay here again next time."

"It's a bit downhill from the bus stop so it's a bit exhausting if you have to drag your suitcase in the snow. It's very close to the ice festival though. Service was exceptional. The staff was helpful and friendly, many staff knowing Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese and English were very helpful to international visitors. Breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent. The room was big and comfortable, the onsen bath was nice too."

"Rooms have a nice old world charm. Dinner (we had the French one) was very good. Soup, fish, palate cleanser, steak, and dessert were all tasty and fresh. Wine selection could have been a bit better but wasn't bad at all. Onsen is nice: they have the public onsen and private rooms. Each room is different, so try to get the one at the end of the corridor (it has an open air section) if you can. Otherwise the public onsen is really great too. A slightly long walk to the ropeway station up to Asahidake for my kid. But loved it overall!"

"The hotel is a bit old but the frontdesk staff was very polite and helpful. Carparking is easy which is only outside the hotel. The room is sizeable and quite clean though the bathroom lighting is below the mark. The buffet style dinner is a real surprise even though I prefer to try Japanese style dinner. But the staff were unable to fully advise us the food choices in English that we had to find them out by ourselves."

"We booked an open-air private hot spring room, and it was incredibly comfortable to soak in the bath while it was snowing. The front desk had staff who spoke Chinese. As for the hotel's breakfast and dinner, well, they were very traditional Japanese. You might want to bring some extra food with you."

"Super quiet and clean traditional Japanese hotel. You dont need air-conditioning in this area as temperature is around 20C in summer. There is heat available in the room. Friendly staffs. Good value breakfast. Highly recommended."

"Large room Shampoo, rinse, body soap were good. The amount of water is sufficient. The open-air bath and the starry sky looked good and the hot water was just right. Breakfast is also satisfactory!"
