It is a seafood restaurant if you think you will enter from the table. The front desk seems to be on the 2 floor. There is a front entrance as an inn on the back side of this building. From the front entrance to the lobby. It is a bright color. There is a picture called a tree of hope on the wall, and it is actually a tree. It feels like relaxing to take a bath. The rooms are quite large, but the area where tatami mats are on the floor is about 4 tatami mats and not very large. You can see Genkai Nada and Koko Ohashi bridge from the window. The public bath is on the top floor, so move to the top floor by elevator. By the way, there is only a shower in the room. The dressing room is a good size, but it is clean. However, there seems to be no service such as bathing ice and juice. The large bath is not very large in the bathtub, and there are not so many shower facilities. From the large window, you can see the view of the calligraphy bridge and the genkai Nada. The sauna room is also complete. There is also a semi open-air bath. It is not a hot spring, but it is not so bad because you can take a bath slowly while looking at a good view. It is a night meal from the bath, but in ”travel inn yobuko”, night meal is a room meal. Before that, the vice manager came to the room and explained the view from the window. There is a story about the battle of each major name of Nagoya Jo castle from Hideyoshi Toyotomi's dispatch of troops to Korea, and the scenery between that time and the present is not very different. The dishes are carried to 々. On this day, Nakai seems to be busy with many guests, but he responded properly without pulling out his hand. I will receive it from the construction that utilized the sea. In addition, there is a konjaku ”kansumata konjaku” which uses sweet summer produced by the caller in this inn, and it is delicious. The sashimi of the caller specialty thief is naturally clear and very delicious. The dishes such as sazae tsuboyaki and KARASUMA salted sardines and KARASUMA salted fish KARASUMA Nanban, and the rest of the previous KARASUMA sashimi are served with salted BBQ and the dishes are good 々. There is no big inn around the call, so I think this inn yobuko is a good inn to stay with the caller. It is a feeling that it is reasonable if you think about the price.
I looked for various accommodations in Yobuko to eat live squid and decided to come here, and it was a great decision. The 14 tatami room on the second floor of the new building is spacious and has a window on the veranda with a great view. We had our meals in our room. I was waiting for live squid, but the sashimi and boiled squid were also very delicious. The live squid that was brought to me was large, chewy and sweet, just as I expected. You can also cut the geso into small pieces with scissors, but the texture is different from the meat and you can enjoy it. We had breakfast in the dining room, and in addition to the squid dumplings and zaru tofu, we also enjoyed the sea bream tea topped with fresh sea bream sashimi. Both the wife and the waitress were friendly and helped me in many ways.
4.5 Stay in November 2024|Family parent-child|Comfortable quadruple room
The room is very clean, very traditional Japanese tatami room, the room facilities are very complete, suitable for family and children, you can also simple ingredients, the only bad thing is that the check-in procedure is very cumbersome, there is no manual service, it is online, trouble. Will not stay again in the future
Really perfect and great value for money!
1. I saw an introduction on jalan that reservations for pick-up can be made for more than 10 people. If there are not enough people, you need to contact us in advance, so I asked the Ctrip housekeeper to help contact me and made an appointment for pick-up from the hotel to and from the south exit of Dangjin Station at 3 pm and 10 o'clock the next day. The one-way bus fare per person on this stretch is 960 yen. The Japanese grandfather also kept introducing the scenic spots and crops along the way, which was really great! And the grandpa who picked us up at the station was very responsible. Although he picked us up at 3 o'clock, he should have known that we would arrive at the station early according to the train timetable, and he looked for us at the station with signs with the name of the hotel. (The car that picked us up at the time was picture 1 The silver van on the right in the picture) In the end, we arrived at the hotel early, leaving us with more time to visit Cape Hato;
2. The service staff here are very professional, and complex communications are done directly through translators, and there is no need to wait for us to remind you of relevant matters (such as delivery to the station the next day);
3. Breakfast and dinner are all Japanese food, in line with expectations;
4. The scenery nearby is really great. It is an attraction in itself. There are many people who come here specifically to visit. See the pictures below for details;
5. There are no real hot springs here. The big bath is just water, but the sea view is good. Figure 2-3 is the scenery outside the window of our room, which is almost the same as the big bath.
We splurged and stayed at the Mizuno Ryokan to celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary. We were driving and it took a little while to find it because it is tucked in an alley behind a school. However, well worth the hunt! It is right on the beach with a fabulous view out to offshore islands. The staff is amazing in how they try to cater to your every need. English is spoken but we did a lot of pantomime as well. The food was fantastic; each course was a new experience in how to prepare Japanese cuisine and we enjoyed it all - even the squid that wasn't quite dead yet! All fresh, small portions but so much that we could not have eaten more at the end.
The room is well maintained, the facilities are the same as the general hot spring hotel, one berth and two meals, the food quality is very high, very fresh, the portion is also very sufficient, and I will definitely stay at Dawang Pavilion again.
Yoyokaku is a traditional and authentic ryokan that offers gorgeous, old-world architecture, comfortable rooms, fine kaiseki dining, a gorgeous garden and signature Japanese hospitality. In a way, it is sort of an extension of Karatsu by emitting a sense of history, tradition and culture that visitors to the area will definitely appreciate. While we do enjoy the traditional ryokan experience, we tend to shy away from them because of some of the compromises that typically accompany a stay in one of them, such as poor sound insulation (including creaky floors), the lack of heat insulation during the cold Winter months and slow internet speeds. If our stay at Yoyokaku is any indication, most of the shortcomings are nonexistent here, while all of the charming aspects of a traditional ryokan stay are in abundance here. First, the property itself. The architecture, decor, landscaping and furnishings are all otherworldly... each small step down one of the charming wooden corridors made us feel like we were slipping furthe back in time (at least to the Meiji era, if not earlier.) The subtle nuances are very difficult to explain in writing; thankfully, the Chairman (and the current owner's father), Akihito Okouchi was a wonderful host and walked us through the property, explaining many of the subtle aspects of the craftsmanship involved in the construction (and restoration) of the property, as well as some of the history behind Yoyokaku as well as Karatsu in general. He speaks pretty good English, by the way, which is partly why Yoyokaku is quite popular among foreign guests. The current Okami-san (the proprietress and the Chairman's daughter-in-law) was an English teacher prior to marrying into the family, so communication will definitely not be an issue should your Japanese skills not be up to snuff. The magnificent and immaculately maintained garden is dominated by old ”Matsu” (Japanese Pine Trees), which really gives this ryokan a sense of place. As an aside, nearby Yoyokaku is one of the country's three most famous pine groves (called Niji no Matsubara.) There is a small gallery of Karatsu-Yaki pottery by famous local artisans that is on permanent display, and also available for purchase. This is another thing Karatsu is know for, and will provide you with a nice history lesson just by staying at Yoyokaku. We chose a room called ”Tonbo” (十坊), room 211, which is a corner room on the ground floor with an awesome view of the garden. It's purely a Japanese room - no sofa, no sitting chairs, Western beds... the room is of the Tatami variety, and has a low table in the living room and you sit on the floor (albeit on Zabuton cushions.) After dinner, the staff will lay out the Futons; in our case, since the room had two sections, they laid out the Futons in the room adjacent to the living room, so there was no need to have the table dragged off to the side to make way for the Futons - I could continue working on my laptop (and all of the accompanying el

Outstanding
We chose this hotel as part of a stopover, so we could visit nearby Yobuko (to eat squid). Looking at the Japanese travel sites, it was unclear to me what the difference was between the east and west wing, but I'm so glad to have chosen the east wing which turns out to be their newer addition with premium amenities such as a communal onsen bath by gender and a co-ed rooftop thermal pool/bath that you can go to in your bathing suit. This hotel appears to be owned by DHC, which is a Japanese cosmetics manufacturer because everything in the hotel bears their brand. The nice thing is that their products are very stellar and they are readily available. The communal bath is particularly well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, facial wash etc. They also have a full spa facility with steam and dry sauna, aromatherapy rooms etc It was also a pleasure to have access to the beautiful baths and pool almost exclusively. We spent a lot of evenings after dinner soaking on the rooftop, listening to the sound of the waves. The hotel is about a 30 minute walk away from the center of the city, but it is a beautiful route that takes you past the castle. The entire experience far exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended.
FFilTHSelf-driving will be more convenient, because it is almost a few minutes walk from the railway station (East Tangjin / and Dota / Tangjin), and the bus passing by is only running until about 5 pm. If you want to take a taxi to the hotel, please be sure to get off at Tangjin Station. There are more taxis here. There is a staff member who let you choose welcome drink, and also asked if you want to use the family style that night, each section is used for one hour, until 10 pm. The bathroom in the room is slightly smaller, so I asked if I should use the family style. The brightness of the lights has a lot of adjustment, and the air conditioning and heating are also very sufficient. The electrical socket is insufficient but there is a drag su, and there are 4 plugs. There is no Japanese phone number to ask the staff to help call the taxi, they are very friendly and willing to help. Extra breakfast, you can eat while watching Tangjin City, the scenery is very wonderful.
SsosoichiThe hotel in Karatsu is a new hotel in the station and shopping street, while there are many large hotels on the riverside and seaside. 2 minutes walk from the station. The 3rd floor 1 floor of the commercial facility is the hotel. Simple interior, clean and comfortable stay. The shopping street around is never lively, but there are shops that can taste the yuki of Genkai Nada, including a sushi shop with Michelin stars. Breakfast is at the cafe on the first floor. The toast set, bread and thick cut bacon were delicious. There is no parking lot, the station north exit parking lot is recommended, 500 yen to 12 hours. It was a comfortable Karatsu stay.
We stayed at this ryokan in early November 2021, when the fourth wave of COVID 19 was rapidly subsiding. It was pouring when we arrived at the ryokan in Karatsu, close to the castle and facing the beach. I had thought that it was a restaurant offering lodging, but I understand that it was the other way around. In any event, a lady came out, showed us the car park, and brought us umbrellas. We went to the small reception, and it didn’t take us long to complete the registration. The receptionist, who I thought could be the owner as well, asked us if we had brought vaccination certificates, which we had forgotten to bring with us. “We ask because we are offering free drinks to guests. But let me see what we can do.”she said. With that we were shown to our room upstairs on the second floor. We were told that the public bath was on the ground floor, but it appeared that the bath was busy at the moment with some families. We decided that it would be better to wait till closer to dinner time, which was the right decision as I had the entire bath for myself and was able to relax from the long day. I was looking forward to dinner, as I had ordered a course including squid sashimi from Yobuko close to Karatsu and famous for its fresh squid. Dinner was served in our room, which I guess has now become standard practice with the pandemic. Luckily the ryokan gave me the free sake. The squid came first after the appetizer. The squid was still transparent, testifying how fresh it was. It was really delightful. This was followed by a sweet simmered head of seabream, some Saga Beef cutlets and fried blowfish. I must say it was one of the best (mainly)seafood dishes I’ve ever had. I really recommend travelers to try seafood dishes on the Saga coast. It was a most enjoyable dinner. The ryokan however did not accept credit cards, and I had to pay cash.
西西門simonLocated very close to Yamamoto Station. It is a container house.
There are 7 people in quarantine, and each person will be given a free Ding Ding rice meal when checking in.
The room has a microwave. Although the room is small, it is very practical. It is very ok to stay for one night.
AAnniCattiThis hotel was a really great surprise. Just a short walk from a JR station the hotel is situated right next to the ocean. You can fall asleep listening to the waves. The bathroom had a separated toilet and a big bathtub. The bed was really comfortable and you also had a few snacks as well as a water heater in the room. The city itself is about an hour walk along the beach or you can just take the train into the city. (just make sure not to miss the last one) When we were there (in October 2019) there was a construction side next to the water but since it seemed temporarily. Maybe ask before booking to get a room away from the construction side (still with ocean view)
宋宋The bed in the double room is too small and the two are too crowded. I hope that Ctrip can mark the size of the bed when I give the double room (I see that the size of the double bed is marked on the booking). In addition, the distance between the hotel and the train station seems to be a little bit longer than what is marked on the Internet.
Excellent little hotel. The room looks very new and looks to have been recently renovated. Set on a high ground, the view is excellent from the room we stayed in. The inn keeper are all very friendly and helpful. Most do not speak English but we are thankful for Google Translate. That was an efficient bridge across communication barriers. We stayed three days and used the stay to explore Karatsu and Saga. We had a breakfast and dinner plan. The food is excellent. The manager was worried we will be bored with the menu after two days and changed the main dish for us. Very thoughtful. It was an extremely nice stay. It also provided charging points for electric vehicles and is pet-friendly. It was an excellent hotel to escape from the hustle of city life.
Ggoodie1919I found an inn that could stay alone and visited to eat squid on weekends. The end point of the airport subway JR Kanemaru, who arrived from Nishi Karatsu to Showa bus, was a naive inn facing the sea. The first 5F large bath was able to take a relaxing exclusive bath, so it healed the fatigue of the moving time. The expected dinner was excellent, including fish, of course, a good living squid. The soy sauce was not sweet but familiar, so the food and sake were also advanced and the full satisfaction was great. Because the type of squid changes depending on the season, I want to taste the color 々 in the future.
Kkamiya99The hotel is ok, there is a convenience store not far from the neighborhood, the relationship of Japanese traffic, there is almost no one at night, there is no one on the street, if you take a taxi from the city, but you want to take a taxi from here at night, It really depends on luck, after all, can't compare with China. But very quiet. The bed is very soft
