Find the Cheap Khuekkhak Hotels

The room was great, very new and clean. It was only over 200 when I stayed there. It was great value. If you plan to go to Similan, you can consider staying here. You really don't have to get up at 6 am.

We stayed for five nights at Hotel Gahn during our stay in Khao Lak. It is a very attractive hotel. Our room was comfortable and clean. The king sized bed was firm but very comfortable. We were on the 5th floor in a deluxe room with a balcony overlooking the pool below. Small, but lovely pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Down the street, a short walk away, are restaurants, convenience stores and the night market. This hotel is on the main road and as such we could hear the traffic in our room, even though our room faced to the south overlooking the side roads. It wasn’t terrible but you could definitely hear it. The traffic was quieter after midnight but it started again around 6 am. We had sliding doors to our balcony which were not sealed well so the traffic noise was pretty much the same in our room as it was sitting on the balcony. But we managed to sleep well at night despite the noise. Our stay included complimentary breakfast every day. The selection included one choice of three mains - eggs (cooked to your specs) and two Asian dishes. There was white and brown bread for toast, jam, some cereals, fruit, a few more Asian dishes, juice, coffee and milk. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

After staying a in Khao Lak a few times in 5 star resorts we thought after many recommendations we would try The Oasis. And it didn’t disappoint. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left the service was outstanding. Maria, Bas and Wen are so attentive and friendly, they were always smiling and want you to have the best time. The eggs were cooked perfectly every day and always with a smile.(Thank you Wen :)) The bungalows are lovely and always cleaned to perfection. The towels are changed daily.. Fab air con too. The pool is lovely, warm and very clean with sun beds and parasols. We were offered to go on a trip with Maria, Bas and Wen to a market which was amazing. I cannot fault anything during our 13 night visit...Staying at the Oasis made our holiday even more special. But it was Maria, Bas and Wen that did it for us they are truly loving,caring, happy people who make you feel so much at home. This place is priceless.. We’ve already booked next year.WOW WOW WOW

We have just moved after been at motive for 1 night the worst night we have ever had at a hotel ever as follows . Last night and this morning - because the walls of this hotel are so thin, my children were subjected to hours of rampant sex cries , moans & skin slapping noises, with the bed banging and squeaking for hours up until 1.30am last night and then again this morning it woke us up at 9am as they were at it again My 9 year old daughter was so uncomfortable with this she was in tears and very confused - the walls are so thin you could hear intimate details , skin slapping and heavy breathing with sex talk , it was embarrassing and scary for both my children we could hear everything through the paper thin walls. It was extremely awkward, very uncomfortable and an unpleasant experience . Just as that stopped last night at 1.30, a noisy family came back to the room on the other side, loud talking, baby crying and they put the TV on at volume- again, because the walls are so thin, there was no escape from it. Finally we managed to fall asleep only to be woken again at 4am by the baby screaming. We tried to talk to 2 different people about it at reception but they just shrugged there’s shoulders didn’t offer to move our room or a refund no help whatsoever . We have tried to raise it with agoda repeatedly but they are not interested and just offered me a £40 credit on our next booking and have still charged us £455 as we left the hotel early and said it’s the hotels policy not there’s even though we paid agoda in full before hand . To top it off the extra bed my son had been given ( which cost £13 a day ) was literally so hard it was like a block of concrete and the blanket had several holes in it. This was a terrible night of sleep as we were trapped in the room between the loud sex and the screaming baby. I understand these things go on in private, but the walls are so thin, you cannot get away from what is going on next door and children (nor adults!) should not have to be subjected to someone else’s intimate sex noises . It meant the holiday had started with a unpleasant experience that made it feel more like torture than a holiday and there is no way I would let my children stay in that environment again ( surely any decent parent would agree with me ? ) . None of us wanted to return to that hotel as things that should be private cannot be private in that hotel because the walls are obviously so thin . On top of this the hotel is in a very poor state and needs to be refurbished throughout . The rooms are dark & dingy and the mattresses are like solid planks . The shower is very poor and makes the whole bathroom wet and the floor like a ice rink . The pool has so much chemicals in it after swimming for half an hour my throat went totally dry and I had trouble swallowing and my sons as well ( we have never had this before at any pool ) - throat was fine as soon as we left the pool . Brand new. Many IKEA quality stuff. Daikin A/C - people sitting on the upper bed might not like its vicinity. Close to the beach and restaurants. Excellent staff, true Thai hospitality. First hostel with no guarantee for the key. First hostel in 35 days in Thai to give e a proper wai. EXcellent English. Nice kitchen, biscuits coffee and tea and water through the day. Access to shower after check out. Etc As a suggestion to make it even better: It is more about personal preferences - lack of curtains to the beds mainly. Some people complained about the music from a neighboring bar. To me it was not too loud.
