"A very nice hotel with a sense of design and warmth. The rooms are very clean. The guy at the front desk was super gentle and patient. He also prepared a plate of welcome cookies which were also very delicious. My kid showed off 3 of them. The swimming pool is not big, but there is a hot spring pool next to it which is very comfortable. After soaking in it, you can warm yourself up by the fire. Although it is not a sea view room, you can still hear the sound of waves at night, like thunder in the distance, which does not affect the overall experience. Overall great~"

"Check in was easy and fast. Plenty of parking. Front desk is amazing on both shift. Free transportation is close by. Walking distance to the beach (not Treasure Island) - less crowded. Breakfast is good. Room is clean and spacious."

"I booked a room at Laguna Cove after my Sonder reservation was canceled. This place was cozy, with a darling welcome area complete with couches and coffee and a nice fruit, yogurt and coffee cake breakfast. The room was clean and the bed was awesomely comfortable and perfect on a chilly few days in winter. The staff was friendly and attentive! I love this place and will plan to come back! This was the perfect place for me."

"All was okay at this older hotel for sleeping, nothing fancy, but right next to the beach SO GREAT LOCATION. There was only one problem ---it was absolutely freezing at night in our room, and our room had NO HEAT only a portable heater unit after I called the front desk. When I called in the middle of the night freezing, I thought they were joking when they said there was no heat for the room! I think he may have said some rooms have heat, others do not, but cannot remember for sure. "

"The facilities are very old, the toilet is filled with water manually intermittently, and the refrigerator makes a loud noise. The room is not soundproof. It's close to the beach and not far from restaurants and shopping streets. The location is good."

"TV in the room did not work and I was rather chilly, when we arrived. The hotel gave us a heater and offered to change room/provide a discount due to the TV. So in the end, we were quite satisfied overall. "
