The Crofting Inn

The home is quaint and cozy. The couple who run it are friendly and competent. The home is not IN town but is only a few blocks away. One can walk there, if desired. One can even go 1 more block to even more shops, restaurants, and bars. If you want a quiet, comfortable place to stay in, this is it.

Bed was so uncomfortable and very cheap bed. The rug looked like it hadn’t been washed in years. The bathroom has a kid toilet and I couldn’t stand in the bathtub shower the ceiling was to low. It had an old plastic shower curtain around the claw tub. Overall it needs lots of work

The bed and breakfast is well located near the center of town. The kitschy decor is an aesthetic that I appreciated, and it definitely spilled into a slightly claustrophobic space. The rooms had a similar aesthetic and were cute too, but definitely not for everyone. The breakfast is misleading and hardly a meal; We were given a slice of French toast and two slices of bacon, plus a side of defrosted berries. If you're looking for value to your stay with a free breakfast, look elsewhere. My stay overall was pleasant enough. One experienced that dampened my stay is the two owners tried to recruit me into their "great e-commerce opportunity" which was an MLM scheme. It was creepy and uncomfortable with the husband trying to talk to me for five minutes about making a passive income, after I checked out and was leaving the premises. This recruiting effort is not okay and insulting to a paid customer. The stay itself was okay but I warn other travelers of this place because of the uncomfortable taste it left in my mouth.

Stayed here for a night while in Cloudcroft, and loved our stay. The owners were very nice and so helpful. We had a pretty view of the mountains from our room, and we enjoyed it with some coffee. Loved the breakfast too! The decor of the room was cool to look at as well. Lots of antiques!

The Crofting Inn is a little bit off the beaten track, so it was quiet, yet close to town, and close to all the hiking trails. Our room #4 was quiet, simple, and comfortable. We have been traveling a lot and it is hard to find a place that is both quiet and has a nice view. The country decor is charming and makes you feel at home. It is affordable. We extended our stay because we liked it so much. But we are giving them a 4 star because they did not wear masks.
