This was a nice clean hotel. There was a guy on the front desk who was an absolute gem. He was funny, helpful and knowledgeable and helped us enormously - a credit to the hotel. The room we had was spacious and clean, we got 2 extra pillows as the ones supplied where very thin. On the downside the hotel is in a very scruffy, run down area. I can only assume it was build to service the convention centre which is close by. There is virtually nothing in the area (1 restaurant - the scampino I think) which was nice otherwise you have to go into the city which is 45 minutes walk. There is however a good bus service and scooters if you prefer. Another weird point is the hotel lift. It doesn't go to a floor but stops halfway between them so you have to walk up or down a flight of stairs to get to your room??? We never had breakfast at the hotel as it was expensive and they don't do other meals. I would have given this hotel an extra star if it had been in a nicer area closer to amenities.

All the staff were super friendly and competent. Whether in the restaurant, the bar or at reception. Best wishes to Mrs. Besau. She is the good soul of the house. Always willing to listen to your requests. She is very helpful and gives you the feeling that you are really looking forward to seeing us when you arrive.

The hotel is in a great location, right by the central station and in easy walking distance from many of the attractions around Köln. The front desk staff were very friendly and made check in a quick and easy process. The room smelt strongly of stale cigarettes when I checked in, even though it was marked a nonsmoking room. One of the duvets on the bed was dirty with caked on smudges that obviously hadn't been laundered since the previous guest. Fortunately the bed has two duvets so I could use the second one which was clean. Check out was listed as 12pm, but on the day of checkout a cleaner entered my room before 9am and rudely told me to leave immediately. I tried speaking to her in German and English to tell her I still had hours available in the room and she wouldn't respond so I felt forced to pack up and leave while she waited. This is a budget friendly hotel in a good location, and none of these issues are dealbreakers on their own. I probably wouldn't return to stay because the experience combined was quite negative.

Loved my stay at this hotel - Not super luxury, but perfect for a short stay. Excellent rooms, wifi and shower) all you need) and the boxed breakfast was exceeding expectations of everyone in our group. Would definitely recommend On a sidenote, only went to the roof Terras at night, but brilliant views

Definitely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in and the best hotel from Accor Hotels. I had accidentally booked the wrong dates for my stay. As soon as I realised it, I contacted the hotel. The staff helped me to change my reservation dates. While on my trip, due to the strikes in France and problems with the train connections I had to postpone my meeting online. I sent an email to request to check in early since I will be having my meeting at 1 p.m. Ms Wulff made the necessary arrangements prior to my arrival. On my arrival I was able to check in early and able to proceed with my online meeting. Without her help I would not be able to conduct my meeting. On the next day, I had another online meeting. Her colleague made the necessary arrangements so that the housekeeping team could get the room cleaned before lunch and my next online appointment. Till date I have stayed in a number of hotels from the Accor Hotels group. In comparison to M Gallery am Konzerthaus in Wien, Hotel Mondial am Dom in Cologne exceeds my expectations. Professionalism The staff at the reception were not only friendly and good at what they are doing, they are also willing to help and went an extra mile to make things possible. I would not have been able to get my work done if they did not help me. Even when checking out, the staff was professional and showed interest to assist customers whenever they dan. View of the Cathedral I managed to get a glimpse of the cathedral from my room. Dinner I had dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was not only affordable, the service was impeccable. The waiter even suggested where I could sit so that I can get the best view of the area. Awesome! I would like to thank the remarkable staff for making my stay in Köln memorable und unforgettable. Ich habe bei der Buchung das falsche Datum eingegeben und musste meine Buchung ändern. Die Mitarbeiterin. hat mir geholfen meine Buchung zu ändern. Wegen Streiks und Probleme mit Deutsch Bahn musste ich meine Termine verschieben. Ich habe das Hotel gefragt ob ich früher einchecken kann um mein Termin online wahr zu nehmen. Frau Wullf hat alles für mich arrangiert damit ich meinen Termin online fortsetzen kann. Am nächsten Tag habe ich auch einen Termin online. Der Kollege von Frau Wulff hat mit dem Housekeeping-Team koordiniert damit das Zimmer von 13 Uhr fertig gereinigt ist. Dadurch könnte ich meinen Termin um 14 Uhr wahrnehmen. In diesem Hotel sind die Mitarbeiter:innen nicht nur freundlich sondern auch hilfsbereit. Diese Motivation ist leider eine Seltenheit auch bei den Luxus-Marken von Accor. I enjoyed staying in Hilton . Nice view and good location. The staff was very kind and helpful. If I have a chance to go back to Cologne again , I would stay in Hilton again.

Very close to the central train station. I arrived early and wanted to store my luggage. I was not yet in time to check in, but I was given a room with a view of the cathedral. I was so lucky. The guys and girls at the front desk spoke good English and were helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. Free sparkling water was provided, which is rare in European hotels. I was impressed by the trip to Cologne and it is worth staying.

We stayed in the hotel as a family with 7 years old child without any problem. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel so we have no idea about restaurant. Employees are kind and doing their best. Very good location. You can walk all the touristic places. We went to Cologne on December and it was cold. Whenever we felt cold, we turned to hotel for rest in 5-10 minutes. The best christmas market (Heumarkt) is near the hotel and you can use public transport in front of the hotel (if you need). Walk distance to the Dom Cathedral, Love Bridge, Chocolate Museum, Shildergrasse and all the christmas markets.

This is not an ideal hotel at all. I would not give it anymore than a poor rating. The outer front of the hotel is awful and actually looks like it's closed. Very uninviting! On walking in, I was ”met” (not greeted) by a female member of staff who was OK (she did offer some conversation).... but not the most welcoming of people. I was kept waiting initially while she fetched someone else. In the meantime, I filled in some forms and a rather grumpy and disheveled looking person arrived. He mentioned I had to pay a fee for something but it wasn''t really clear what it was for. I reluctantly paid as it was only 4 euros and I didn't really understand German - had it been anymore, I would might have been more inclined to argue. The room (I was in 107) was frankly reminiscent of something from the Bates Motel. Very old furniture. The room was hot (I had to open the window) and although there was a TV, adequate WIFI, cleans towels etc - the standard was just frankly horrendous. I saw a pube on the wall in the bathroom! For this next part (I take partial responsibility as I WAS warned) but after 10 there is no reception which means you have to take your two keys with you. Now I stupidly assumed it was because the front door would be locked after 10. The real reason is because the hotel room door itself locks behind you. I walked out of the hotel room as I went to see if I could find someone to lend me a fan and the door locked behind me. Without anyone in reception, I was stranded late at night in the corridor. I had to physically climb out of the window and LUCKILY I had left my own open due to the hot weather.... otherwise I don't know what I would have done. I did NOT have the breakfast. It was included in the price but frankly everything seemed so sub-standard that I didn't want to risk it. Honestly, I know you get what you pay for but this wasn't even worth that and I paid approximately £50.

The hotel is quite central in Cologne. It also has probably given the possibility to breakfast directly in the hotel the reservation. However, already at the arrival, this was shown at the reception before and after me, there were probably noise differences between the bookings of the arrival guests and the understanding that only the German-speaking lady had at the reception. My colleague has clearly ordered breakfast with, but he had to call it loudly next morning. I myself, I'm very much in hotels on the way I've experienced extremely rarely that staff always strongly before yesterday each other disputes about courses that should be practiced. My room itself was awaiting and probably had the flair of the 1980s. Electric cable simply sticked to the wall, hoping that they would not solve again. In general, I would not book this hotel anymore. What the reason staff and guests are constantly crying negative.
