We visited this hotel for the first time in February 2024, and were very impressed with the mix of accommodation, grounds, service, location and food. We therefore decided to return for a further 2 weeks in October, From the moment we arrived, we were greeted as before, and our cases were immediately taken to our room. We had requested a room in a specific area, and our request was honored. The Reception staff are always so accommodating at this hotel, and take a pride in all they do. Our room was very comfortable; two large single beds, linked to form a large double. tea making facilities, generous storage space, and a bathroom with shower and two washbasins. There was a medium sized balcony that provided nice privacy. As most reviews have already stated, the grounds of this hotel are very large, with ample sunbeds. I personally despise the early morning sunbed grabbers, but when we required a sunbed, there were always plenty available. There really is no need to join the selfish grab-a-sunbed fraternity, as all sunbeds are within easy access to the pools. There are 3 pools at the hotel, one reserved for adults, plus a children's pool in a dedicated area. This featured swings, and a rather amusing collection of water features. There are several bars located around the grounds, so you are never far away from a drink facility, and there is a snack facility provided in the Atlantico restaurant, Pepes bar, and a further area near the family pool. There is also a gym, should you wish to burn off some calories. I should mention that the hotel is situated on a steep slope, which means that access to the main pools is by way of steps, or rather steep slopes. This might prove difficult for disabled guests, although I did spot several guests using mobility scooters to move around the lower areas. However, the main Yauza restaurant, Dolce Vita restaurant, Pepes snack bar, and entertainment area are all on one level, and accessed directly (via lift) from the Reception area. Since our visit in February, we did note that the food quality had deteriorated. By this, I do not mean that the food was poor, as it was still delicious and well presented, but the variety was far less than before and rather repetitive. We did ask a waiter if the chefs had changed, but apparently things ”below stairs” were the same. Maybe it was a question of budgets. On an average evening, the offering was usually paella, grilled pork chops or cutlets, turkey breast, and some sort of stew or curry. There was a vegetarian counter, plus a grilled fish bar offering fish such as tilapia, pollock, sole, and hake. One counter offered carved roast meats, plus there were various pastas and pizzas. There was also a salad bar, plus 2 soups on offer. So a good selection, but generally the same each night. We tried the Dolce Vita restaurant twice - self service Italian. We both enjoyed it. I question some of the reviews on here saying that the clientele is generally o
