Days Inn by Wyndham Corpus Christi Beach

Corpus Christi|1.61km from USS Lexington
The hotel itself is falling apart. They go Ultra Cheap on EVERYTHING, Breakfast (If that is what you can call it.) .. 1 small bottle of watered down shampoo for 2 people.. Rooms are NOT cleaned every day. We got there on Wednesday and left on Saturday. Our room was cleaned 1 time and no soap or anything is left when they clean it... We were on 3 rd floor you had to take elevator which stunk like Sweat socks literally down to bottom floor thru break room to ice machine, but you couldn't there was no plastic bag in the ice bucket, so unless you wanted to put your ice in a bucket someone else had handled you were SOL. Elevator does not run from midnight to 6am.. I could walk down outside stairs and make it to bottom before elevator made it down, It moves then stops then moves again.. The 2 kinds of cheap cereal they have, is in a thing where you turn handle and it will fall into a bowl, it is not replaced every day. I noticed lady picking up cereal thing and sticking it in closet like room and the same stuff was put out next morning..floors on outside of rooms are warped bad. There are no candy machines or soda machines..No inside stairs only some that have been nailed to side of hotel balconies..On walk ways outside rooms there are puddles of water because floor is warped so bad... Everything is cheaped out.. Rooms are fair other than dirt or stain on smoke detectors and ceiling,, but hotel is falling apart.. And elevator stinks bad, I worked for our city garbage division for 25 yrs. before retiring, so smells don't bother me that much but this elevator smelled like molded sweat socks.. Oh yes they did have yogurt for breakfast. I have attached a photo of breakfast.

The toilet and shower were not clean at all. Had to clean then myself. The shower had no water pressure. They charge you for parking per day but our access card did not work the entire weekend. We had to press the service button to be let every time and we got stuck out there one time when no one was at the front desk. When we let the front desk know, she did not help fix the problem she just said get a ticket and the gate will open, but that did not help we we needed to exit.

I had a lovely experience. The hotel appeared to have been recently updated and had a relaxing and modern atmosphere. The staff at reception were so friendly and really went the extra mile in helping me with a few queries I had. The direct access to the beach was appreciated and it was nice to have a pool as well. My room felt very luxurious and was decorated nicely. There are shops nearby and the area is convenient. A great stay and I’m glad I chose it!

Evaluation: The hotel front desk is friendly with its own parking building, parking 2F can go directly to the lobby, streamlined. The room is in good sanitary conditions, the balcony can see the aircraft carrier Lexington, straight line distance 5KM, and the Denan Art Museum designed by Philip Johnson is within walking distance. Recommended to stay! Room tips: It is recommended to choose a high-rise sea view room without a balcony, which can be overlooked by the front. The rooms with balcony are all facing the sea, the location is not ideal.

The service is average. The location of the hotel is very good. You can watch the sunrise in the morning and the moonrise in the evening. The scenery is very beautiful. There are restaurants and shops in the surrounding area, and you can walk to several small island-style parks on the seaside, as well as museums and art galleries. The coastal promenade is also very beautiful, with popular science installations that travel through the solar system, and other art installations. Convenient to the Lexington Aircraft Carrier Museum and Aquarium/Animal Conservation Center across the river. In short, if you are not asking for a sexual vacation, staying here is a good value for money.

The French guy at the front desk is very warm and handsome, ah, forgive my little nympho. As long as there is a parking space on the doorway, the hotel does not have a parking lot and you can pay the parking fee at the door. Next to it is a police station, which feels much safer in an instant.
