R2 Hotel Pajara Beach

We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights. Upon arrival they informed us that they upgraded our room to a ground floor royal suit room from a double room with sea view. Until we didn't see the room we had different feelings about the upgrade but the allocation of the room was perfect was so quiet. It was far away from the dining area and bars. We still had sea view and the pools were near to the room. We also had a little patio with a table and chairs plus 2 sunbeds. The room was huge with a living room and well furnised but a bit old/ish. Bed was comfy and extremely big. Personally I did not like the pillows, was uncomfortable for me. They must check up on cleaners as they didn't clean the room properly long time, and it must be spring cleaned. Room service was every day. Andrea at the reception was very professional. All inclusive food was very good. The dining are was well cleaned and well take care of . Personally I liked the breakfast the most. Everyday was something different for lunch and dinner. Cakes and ice cream was very good. (Mostly the cake with walnuts) Pool side bar was good. Cocktails are fine, I liked the Vodka sun so much! But the pina colada was also good. We tried Cuba libre as well but they put too much alcohol inside and we could not drink it at all. Most professional person at the pool bar was Jonathan. At the other bar was an other guy but I don't know his name unfortunately, he made a lots of nice Cocktails for us at the evenings. He was there most of the days when we stayed at the hotel. Pools are very clean and well take care of! We hired one of the white bed in the garden site with an amazing view. You can get beach towels for €10 deposit and if you would like to change it during your stay it's an extra €1, end of your stay you will get back the deposit. They offering irons as well for deposit. I went for an iron 3 times and they never had available irons what was make me very disappointed.. We got some photo shoots at the hotel by Leo. He was very great. We got amazing photos. Also Georgi was very nice and friendly! The sea side beach was just right next to the hotel. Was amazing. Some shops near by, spar was like 10-15 mins away. We went for a Catamaran trip as well. Ask infos from the receptionists. Worth to go! We enjoyed our stay!

Everything was very nice, the staff was polite and smiling, there was even an animator, she really energized me, she was positively very cool.I really enjoyed the food as well and it was a lot of fun and I would go back there again. There is entertainment in the hotel, there is a lot to play billiards, there are 4 pools, two bars, a private beach, I advise anyone who has not been to go, I will also be happy to find contacts of this girl.

We returned to this hotel following the very enjoyable experience we had last year. We requested the same room and the hotel honoured our request and we we very happy as this room is probably the best we have stayed in. It was a sea view Suite and what a view overlooking the the full length of the beautiful beach directly above the hotel swimming pool. The pool area as are all the balconies are covered with artificial grass fantastic the pool though small is more than adequate and heated and there are loads of sun beds well spaced out the whole area is very pleasant. Our room was very comfortable and was cleaned thoroughly every day. Breakfast and Dinner both buffets the food was very good ,quality and variety very good, staff very efficient, attentive and pleasant. We spent 7 nights what we were seeking was a week of total relaxation and that's exactly what we had. Now Costa Calma is a quiet area there is not a great deal to do that was fine for us. The beach is excellent. Now if we were to have any criticism of the hotel it would be in the entertainment provided. There is one bar that's fine but each night there is advertised entertainment. Our 7 nights on 3 nights we had 1 night music quiz 1 night movie quiz and 1 night bingo starting at 9 each finishing before 10. The other 4 nights did have an entertainer /entertainers but again it started at 9 and was finished at 10. The bar had a grand piano and it would have been really good if someone would have been playing some or every night while the bar was open. However this aside this Adult Only hotel is excellent and we research a lot of hotels we travel several times a year sometimes with our family. If your looking for a weeks relaxation we would certainly recommend the Crystal Beach Hotel in Costa Calma.

This is our third stay at this hotel, and we choose it because of its proximity to the Club Ion Watersports centre, which is on the beach right in front of the hotel (we spend our holiday windsurfing). What we like about the hotel is that it’s very very quiet - no music round the pool, no loud entertainment at night (there is really lovely gentle entertainment outside the restaurant after dinner) - so this won’t necessarily suit everyone, but it works for us. A couple of things have changed for the better since our last visit: there are no longer two dinner sittings, and instead you can go to dinner whenever you like. This suits us much better and meant that there were no big queues at mealtimes. Also, the hotel’s free wifi now seems to extend to the bedrooms (we were on the 6th floor, near the end, and had good signal). The rooms are a bit dated, and the beds are a bit hard, but the rooms are spacious and the shower is hot and powerful (lukewarm showers are a dealbreaker for me). I especially love the balconies which have glass fronts and lovely comfortable sunbeds, so you can really relax on your own balcony. Pros: - Quiet clientele - mainly older German couples, very few children - Sea view balconies with comfortable sun beds - Fridge in room - Large pool area with plenty of sun beds (and very few people putting towels on sun beds first thing in the morning!) - Quiet pool area with no music playing, no aqua aerobics etc - Extensive breakfast and dinner buffet with lots of choice - Excellent service at meal times - staff very friendly and efficient. If you order a bottle of wine at dinner and don’t finish it, they will label it with your room number and bring it back out to you the next night. - Spar shop and plenty of souvenir/clothes shops and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk Cons: - 10 Euro cash deposit required for each beach towel - 20 Euro cash deposit required for bathrobes - Charge to use in-room safe - Very poor labelling of food at the buffet. I don’t eat meat so had to try and work out what did and didn’t have meat in it. If I was vegan or had allergies, the buffet would be a nightmare - Very little atmosphere in the communal areas We will continue to return as it’s perfect for us.

From the moment we checked in we started to relax in this lovely resort. Our sea facing room was well appointed and refreshed by housekeeping on a daily basis. Just a short walk to the beach where we could walk along to a great beachside bar. Back in the resort we enjoyed meals and drinks on an all inclusive basis, the first time we have done this, and we were not disappointed, the quality and choice of food was superb with several themed meals. One small gripe was that tables were not cleared between courses as quickly as we would have liked. The Animation team actively by Wadji provided daily events that were varied with something for everyone. After dinner we enjoyed music in both the Blue bar and pool side bar. Their are small boutiques and even a Barber shop on the resort. The resort is a little remote, but if you want a calm and peaceful holiday where guests are respectful this is the place to be. We will definitely return to the H10 Emeralda.

They do say you get what you pay for…. We booked via Easy Jet (would recommend every time) and didn’t pay a huge amount for a weeks stay all inclusive. We’d emailed ahead to ask for a sunny terrace room and this we did get overlooking the pools. Rooms basic, very clean with a fridge for your own drinks. Bed was two singles pushed together but much more comfortable than we’ve known before. The location is right on the edge of Costa Calma - 8 min walk to the bus stops and 5 euro taxi to the restaurants. Breakfast was good - great choice although some items a bit random! Fresh made omelette very good. Great bread choice. Lunch we loved, lots of very good salad items. Dinner was a little hit and miss. We ate out a couple of times. Again for what we paid we can’t really complain. The drinks - local spirits a bit harsh. Beer was Amstel on draught. Sangria made to order. Wines the usual fizzy pump stuff - ok with plenty of ice! Three pools - one heated but the terrace was very sheltered and the cold pools welcome when hot. Again very clean. Staff all friendly. Entertainment ok but we entertained ourselves in the evening, playing cards in the reception/bar area. Overall we would give a 4 but would certainly visit again.
