The price/performance ratio is really high, cheap and affordable. I came to Datong alone, and the boss was very nice and helped me with the travel guide.

Super star hotel! ! Location: Right in the ancient city, the front door is on the roadside, easy to find; it is a 20-minute walk from the Drum Tower, just the right distance, just right for a walk back to the residence after dinner Service: Super awesome. The lady at the front desk is beautiful and gentle. She answers all questions and will try her best to coordinate with anyone who can help. Very heartwarming! Moreover, the hotel provides an airport drop-off service, which is free, and the driver is also super friendly! Will take the initiative to help with luggage, be patient, and have a good sense of time! Respond on time Two free cups of coffee, delicious, you can choose iced or hot, the service is meticulous, super great!

The location is great, near the west gate in the ancient city (about five minutes walk), three minutes walk to Huayan Temple, five or six minutes walk to Sandaocai Bell Tower, and one minute to Huayan Temple bus station. During the May Day holiday, the ancient city is restricted by time, so the area near the bus station and the ancient city gate is very important. If you stay in the B&B hotels in the ancient street at the entrance of Huayan Temple, you have to walk out to take a bus (the pedestrian street car can't enter), so the location is really amazing. The scenic spots in the ancient city can be reached by bus. The first floor is the lobby (café), the second floor is the guest rooms, restaurant and courtyard, and there is a balcony on the second floor, where you can drink tea or coffee while looking at Huayan Temple. The breakfast is a set meal, very healthy, with fruits, eggs, vegetables, co**** grains, knife-cut noodles, bread slices, etc. The room we stayed in was not particularly large, but it was ok. Only the bathroom was slightly small, with complete bathroom supplies and clean hygiene. The service was very good, there was water and sea buckthorn juice in the room, and it was a very warm family. The child said that he would stay here again when he came to Datong next time, and he wanted to change to a room with a loft.

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough! This hotel was beautiful and very convenient, but more than that, the service was absolutely exceptional. My family and I had a wonderful time here, in no small part thanks to the hospitality of the manager and all staff, including a surprise birthday cake and many excellent recommendations, as well as help organising a driver.

It cost 1,488 yuan to live in a Hampton by Hilton. There was almost no soundproofing. The sound of playing cards next door was loud in the middle of the night. The air conditioner kept showing d5 and not starting. In short, the experience was very different at this price. The only advantage may be that it is new.

Very good old style hotel in a very beautiful building with nice gardens and fountains in front of it. It is located outside the city walls, but with very easy and quick (10 min) access to it by bus or taxi. It is at walking distance to VoVo Park, a reasonably good shopping mall with very good food options. The room was quite spacious and comfortable, clean and well equipped. Staff is very nice and helpful.

The room is relatively clean, there is no strange smell, and the overall environment is quite good. The soundproofing may be poor, but holiday hotels are hard to find. There is a park opposite the hotel, not far from the ancient city, just a few minutes' taxi ride away. There is a paid parking lot next to it. It's quite big, but it's enclosed and easy to miss. Wenda and all of her colleagues were wonderful! English is spoken here. Fantastic service, friendly, helpful, very clean and spacious rooms, really nice view over the river and at night with all of the lights. Breakfast is good, the facilities are clean and presentable. The room was quiet and the window can be opened if you want fresh air or to cool down the room a bit, the ac works too to cool it down in winter but that’s recirculated air with some people smoking in non-smoking rooms (typical). Our room did not smell which was great and although we had neighbours we could not hear them, so good for light sleepers. Only downside is the bed is firm. Quick 10 minute didi to the ancient city, malls, delicious lunch and food places. The hotel organised a driver to take us to the hanging temple, yungang grottoes and then to a delicious local restaurant very affordable, helpful, reliable and kind driver (WeChat: 永恒). Also recommend going to the art gallery and museum only 10 mins away. It’s a good location.
