I stayed here more than several years ago when the property was newer. It has changed since then as everything was excellent on my previous visit. This visit had problems mainly with the internet connection. There was internet when I arrived for a two-day stay, several hours after my arrival, the internet went down and was never restored during my two day stay. The information from the front desk was we contacted our provider and they will have it fixed in the next couple of hours. This response continued throughout the two day stay. No internet was never restored and obviously the answer was some made up baloney as for two days there was no internet. Obviously these people have the wrong internet provider and should let your people just tell the guest that they do not know if and when the internet will be repaired. Another problem is that the parking lot and entrance to the hotel is full of bird mess, they should have someone with a water blaster clean this off daily. From the looks, they do not even do it often. The inside of the hotel was clean and the room was clean. I never stay at a hotel that does not have internet and understand this type of thing happens, but do not appreciate being told it was being repaired as obviously their answer was what the employees were told to say and nothing was being done to fix the problem I guess because it was the weekend. Other problems were dogs barking in the hallway and creating disturbance more than several times some during the night.

A little better than other hotels is check out at 12 o'clock, the room is clean and quiet. No smell, breakfast is rich and special yogurt. The location is good, the parking space is sufficient, and the front desk service is very good. Praise.

Hotel is very close to the Denton and very very budget friendly. They also got nice indoor pool + hot breakfast. For the price this is the best option. Hotel was very clean and upto date. My kids loved this hotel and their pool.

JjakemoreDonnell at the desk is awesome. I made an error when booking my reservation and she was able to get it all situated for me. Very welcoming and every time I passed by the desk she asked how I was doing, etc. She set the tone for a great stay. Room was clean and love the setup. Appreciated that there was still coffee offered downstairs by the desk even with everything going on. Will be back in the future!

GGuest UserHappy with the stay. Hotel is clean, both common areas and room. Check in staff was great. Location was convenient for our needs. Very good breakfast/lunch restaurant only minutes away (Starwood Cafe). Hotel has a small bar and restaurant, but we did not use them. Both looked clean and well kept. Other guests were obviously enjoying them.
only complaint, the room HVAC kept cycling and the fan was a little loud. I'm a light sleeper, so it probably impacted me more so than the average person.

MmeavegThis hotel is located next to a neighborhood not far off the highway. Very convenient to Main St. in the historic part of the town. Seems like your alone away from all the hub-bub. The super friendly staff went out of their way to give me info on where to eat and directions. They also engaged with my dog which is always a plus. :) The room was clean and the bed comfortable. I would definitely stay here again if needed but would look for a more reasonable pet rate. I think the rate for pets is high ($20 per pet) and there's a 50lb. max. Good thing I didn't bring my Rottie. Not sure why the weight restriction. What difference does that make?

GGuest UserWe visited the LaQuinta in the colony for 4 nights. The hotel staff was friendly and the grounds appeared clean and inviting. Each morning we had had the free breakfast. They had a variety of continental favorites like muffins, yogurt, fruit and cereal. The hot foods included some type of breakfast meat either sausage patty, sausage links, or see through bacon. Hahaha, the eggs were the usual bulk egg product, but the best part was the fresh waffles in the shape of Texas! The room had a mini fridge and microwave. The mini soaps and shampoo was a Dove product which was really nice. The beds were comfortable and clean. I took my son swimming in the indoor pool. Towels were provided for drying off. Overall I found the hotel to be clean and comfortable. I recommend LaQuinta in Colony, TX and will most likely stay there again when I visit family.

SSally RimanI chose the facilities and location on purpose,however the pool was closed due to inspection not complete. Breakfast was fine but somewhat cold. Service at desk was excellent--staff friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Housekeeping staff was not thorough--found dirty underwear behind desk and under couch and there was a very strong mildew smell in the bathroom. Hall was not vacuumed and when we asked for a room cleaned, it was not done very well. I am assuming they were short-staffed like everyone else but they should address the mildew, which is not healthy. I loved the fact that there was a full kitchen and we were able to be on the first floor.

Sshattered_catThe hotel was nice and the room was well situated. The cleaner they use for the rooms is a bit overwhelming, so there is a strong odor when you enter them. While not indicative of the stay overall, the toilet did not work. I had cats with me, so I was hesitant to contact room service to fix it. I did notice the trash can had water sitting in it, so I'm thinking it didn't work for the previous person either, and we both used the trash can to act as a water bucket to help flush the toilet. There was something that was a little odd. Check out time is 11. It was 10:50 when I went down to check out. The housekeeping staff had decided to mop the entrance way and hall areas at that precise time. That was not very well thought through.

GGuest UserUsed to really like this property because of their Bistro -- breakfast to order, dinner available & bar. But breakfast is now same as previous free continental offering, yet you have to pay. No dinner or bar service. Rooms are tired and need upgrading. Water was hot & hotter even in toilets -- no cold water in our room. Air conditioner is old style window unit and thermostat was off by many degrees so we had to keep adjusting it. One of two elevators did not work --- same last time we were there. Employees say hotel has new owner and remodel is coming starting in November --- certainly due! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will try this property again after remodel is complete --- maybe in the spring of 2022.
