Sep 2024 • Solo After spending 2 nights in fancy overpriced hotels, I really liked this place. They let me check in early at no charge. My spacious room had a full sized fridge and microwave. Lounge couch was almost as comfortable as the bed and TV swiveled. Shower was great with adjustable head and all the toiletries are Dove brand. Free breakfast was very good. Filled up my big cup with soda for later. In the afternoon they have a happy hour with food! Lots of nearby restaurants too! The pool is closed but will reopen soon. Lovely area with fire pit and chairs. They have grills to bbq and washer and dryers. Every room has a laundry basket But the best thing was the staff. They really wanted to make my stay perfect. The final plus was the free shuttle to the airport! Explore Origin
The Ritz-Carlton, Denver

Hospitality is defined as the friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers. To most, those are just words but to those in the hospitality industry, it’s an honor code that one lives by in not only work but in life. The Ritz Carlton Denver is a role model for true genuine hospitality. The level of passion, kindness and pure sincerity that this entire Team exudes sets them apart from any and all other hotels I have ever experienced. I wanted to take a moment to tell you about our dear friend’s experience this past week and how incredibly grateful, not only the Tan family is for your hospitality but also, how grateful their entire circle of friends and family are and will never forget the once in a lifetime experience that you gave them! Harvey Tan is 6 years old and has the kindest soul that you will ever meet. You can attest if you had the pleasure of meeting him while he visited! He is a one in a million kind of kid who is respectful and sweet and so considerate of everyone around him. Harvey suffered a seizure this past May, which caused the discovery of multiple tumors found in the back of his brain. After an MRI, it was quickly discovered that Harvey had cancer, more specifically, Li Fraumeni. This is a very aggressive type of tumor so, no matter how much of it the neurosurgeon will get out l, the cells are always there beyond what the naked eye can see, growing. He has been given a timeline of 9-24 months. This is not a curable type of cancer. The family is now only buying themselves time with Harvey. Future treatments will likely start in a week, the first being a six week course of radiation somewhere in Texas. With this devastating news, everyone’s goal now is to make the best of the time we have with Harvey and make sure he lives out the happiest life he possibly can with the time he has left. We found out that his favorite band is AJR and that they had a show coming up in Denver prior to his first radiation treatment so we made it a mission to get Harvey to his first ever concert! Concert tickets were handled, flights were secured and then of course it came time to book the hotel, obviously it had to be the best because this kid deserves nothing less. I reached out to the Ritz Carlton Denver as their reputation is regarded as the best, not looking for any handouts or comp rooms, but merely to make the hotel aware of the situation for a Harvey and his mom when they arrived. I had absolutely NO IDEA that this property and Team would have made this the most incredible experience Harvey has ever had and will cherish forever. I want to start by thanking Brad Mills, GM, for personally responding to the initial email sent about Harvey and for personalizing that conversation rather than just sending a generic reply and comping a room. Thank you for taking the time to ask the questions about all of his favorite things and for your empathy; it is extremely apparent that at the Ritz Carlton Denv
Halcyon - A Hotel in Cherry Creek

Cherry Creek
We just had an absolutely fabulous stay at the Halcyon In the beautiful cherry-creek neighborhood in Denver and can’t wait to go back. Comfortable modern rooms, spectacular rooftop pool/bar, delicious restaurants, wonderful bars, excellent service/staff; we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Upon arrival you’ll notice the beautiful modern finishes and approachable feel as you are greeted with staff that truly make you feel like you’re a guest in their home. After a long flight, there’s really nothing better than being offered champagne or a glass of wine upon your arrival. They also had espresso available at the front desk which we took advantage of throughout our stay. I have never been to a hotel that cares about their guest in such a thoughtful way. They even offer to pay for your yoga, soul cycle, or other wellness classes at local studios nearby, which is such a nice touch and amazing cost savings. The interior finishes are chic, modern, and welcoming, they have a record player in the room which was such a nice tough and was relaxing and fun to play while lounging around! Even the shampoos, lotions, body wash, and bathroom amenities were something special and smelt so amazing! The roof top pool and bar is top notch, and a rare find in Denver, they definitely have the best views, and gorgeous heated pool and spa that is enjoyable even when it’s 2 degrees outside. The rooftop also provides outdoor activities including private cabanas and a curling court which is a very fun and unique experience. Speaking of unique experiences, if you’re looking for the best cocktail, make sure to ask one of the hotel staff and an exclusive secret experience awaits.. but I can’t tell you more because it’s a secret underground spot ;). This hotel has thought of everything and more, so look no further than the Halcyon when deciding where to stay in Denver, you will be so happy you did.
Hilton Denver City Center

I expected a lot better. The location is great for the city sights. Close to all the key areas (and it’s a good walking city). But the number of homeless people around is quite shocking and can make you feel very uncomfortable. It’s only 20 mins walk from Union St but you’ll need a taxi if you have luggage. Lyft and Uber are your friends but pricing is very variable. The reception of the hotel is non-descript and service slow if there’s a conference in the hotel. The rooms are dark. Too dark. They are also small. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Bathrooms need refurbished - they are looking tired. (We stayed twice in the space of a week). Towels were thick and soft; toiletries good quality. The only restaurant is a sports bar in the basement. This is particularly disappointing for a hotel of this quality. Space, service and quality can therefore be problematic. We left one morning when service was particularly bad. There is no Exec Lounge. A major drawback and a dumbing down of the chain. Instead of lounge access we were given $15 per night to spend. This could not buy you breakfast….probably just one drink in the bar. The US chain could learn from Hilton elsewhere in the world. On second visit we arrived at 1720 and our room still wasn’t ready. However the front desk subsequently let us have a late checkout for our own departure. That all said, you’ll be able to do better at this price.

A hotel in downtown Denver, relatively remote, and the hotel seems to have been renovated. The facilities are very good. Basically satisfied.
