Hotels Near Centre Universitaire Catholique De Bourgogne in Dijon

We checked in yesterday (02 Jan 2024) for 2 nights stay. The hotel seems to be fanciful but breakfast is priced very expensively at 21€. We wanted to try this new concept of the Accor group anyway so why not? The room was in general clean but to my horror, upon lifting up the toilet bowl cover, I was greeted with a toilet bowl full of yellowish piss that had not been flushed away. That meant that the toilet was never ever cleaned before releasing for next guest.. or the housekeeping took a convenient piss before leaving and forgetting to flush. Anyway, it could be a genuine mistake so let's not make a fuss at this moment. But I was disappointed to see that there was hardly any amenities in the room. No tea or coffee bags with water boiler. There was only a packet of drinking water in the minibar. It turned out that the water was not even replenished the next day. What was funny: there is a sticker on the minibar door that indicates vending machine available on ground floor. But it could not be found. When we asked the receptionist, we were told that the vending machine is still yet to be installed ??!?!? And suggested to us to go to their restaurant bar to order water or drinks instead. No way ! I am not going to pay for pricey drinking water or tea from their restaurant. Not mentioning that the service charge we will have to pay for getting drinking water there. For a hotel at this tariff, I expected at least to have the basic water, teabags and coffee bags available and replenished! At least most of the basic hotels in France offer this. Some hotels would even offered a coffee machine with capsules. It makes us started to look around the room with a more critical eye. Indeed not only drinking water and basic beverages are not offered. There was only a small bar of handsoap and a miserable piece of body soap placed in the shower to be shared by two occupants of the room. Not only that, the next day after housekeeping, the body soap was not replenished at all. We came back into the room to see the previous bar of soap lying there miserably. This is not what we expected from an Accor hotel which is usually a brand we feel confident in. Mama Shelter tries to be hip and fanciful in their loud decor but in real fact is lacking in hospitality by trying their best to save up whatever they can from the basic necessities (soap, drinking water...) Definitely I will not ever stay in this chain ever again. I sincerely hope Accor group will review and see if it fits their usual standards, because I surely don't think so.

It's an absolutely beautiful hotel in a gorgeous city. The room was clean, comfortable, well equipped etc. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming. But.... it's one of those hotels where they've not sorted the door closers so every door slams loudly. There's a galley kitchen in the room, but the passive-aggressive instructions say if you use it you have to clean it and remove your own waste, or pay extra to have that done for you. I'd also challenge their claim of soundproofed rooms. The somewhat amorous couple in the next room appeared intent on proving they weren't soundproofed... Breakfast was good, once we realised there were two rooms - one with a much better selection than the first we'd entered. The breakfast staff clearly didn't want to be there and a cheery bonjour just received a scowl. This place could so easily be a 5 with a few tweaks.

Salt room, sticking floor, suspect sleeves ... household does not have dust night table , you put your phone you see the brand ... window locking board of the 29 broken ... I have to block it with several scotch thickness ... toilet pad, The background of the black viscous deposits socket ... shower broken leau out by changing duchess or robinet ... everything is to look very dressed ,point positive the bathroom. All this in good sense, you greet

Cheap, cell like room, noisy, hot, put family’s far from each other. Never again! I had a 3 bed cell, the lower floor was particularly bad as lots of people used the picnic tables for drinking and then earlier breakfast outside our room! Reminded me of being on a small train carriage

The hotel is very clean and tidy, with kitchen equipment is very convenient, it is very convenient to walk to the city center in more than ten minutes. The only thing is that there is no water in the room. I asked the front desk to pick it up. The result was a hot water full of dust.

Das Hotel verfügt über eine gute Lage zur Autobahn und zum Nahverkehr, um in die Stadt zu fahren. Die Ausstattung ist einfach, aber zweckdienlich. Im Sommer wird es sehr heiß in den Zimmern, da keine Klimaanlage vorhanden ist. Bei geöffnetem Fenster kann man aber nur schlecht schlafen, da sie umliegenden Klimaanlagen sehr laut sind. Das Frühstück war ein schlecht und der Frühstücksservice noch schlechter.

The hotel is in a corner, the car can't drive directly to the door, it is not convenient to take luggage, the hotel is relatively new, but it is very young, there are more food next to the hotel...

We stayed in this hotel en route from the south to Calais. An excellent new property, less than two months old and very convenient for motorway links. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, superb amenities. From the manager down, all of the staff were energetic, invested and keen to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The restaurant in the evening however, was a different story. The menu is best described as an eclectic mix of bad ideas. My wife chose a chicken dish which was worryingly undercooked. Mine was a hamburger, sadly, with equal quantities of cheese and meat. In fairness, the manager readily admitted and agreed the shortcomings, advising that a new chef would be in post within a few weeks. He also confirmed the menu would be reviewed. On that basis, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and will be staying again on future trips
