I think this hotel is probably one of the best in the area but it definitely could use a makeover. Our room was clean but very outdated. The bed was very saggy. Broken furniture with water damage, a large burn from an iron in the carpet and the outlet that our TV was plugged into didn't work so no TV as there was only one other outlet in the room and we needed that to plug our phones and camera batteries into to recharge. There was, however, plenty of hot water, good water pressure and good wifi signal in the room. The dinner and breakfast buffets were pretty good and more importantly, the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. As long as you don't expect that you'll be staying in a 4 or 5 star hotel, you will be perfectly happy staying here for a night or two.

The L ́Auberge is a very special accommodation with very much charm and is guided by Patrik and Sabine with much love. The old walls put one into another time and you feel almost like a berber ;). We had the room with the large terrace, from where you could enjoy the spectacular sunset over the desert with an aperitif. Then it went to dinner in the cave (in a convenient place), where the two really enthusiasted us with their great kitchen. Not Harrisa and Brik, but a great mix of European and domestic kitchen. Since we live in Tunisia, we know how limited you can buy and that there are very many products simply not available or are just sinfully expensive. Therefore, 11 of 10 stars for the great dinner. The rooms are clean and very comfortable furnished. Each room (the other two we could visit) tells her own story. Thanks to Sabine & Patrik her since great hosts and we will come back safely!
