Premier Inn Dublin City Centre (Gloucester Street South)

As Premier Inn's go, this is average. The first member of staff we encountered didn't want to attend to us - we found the manager and explained to her the situation and a room was prepared. Sleep quality wasn't the best and the room needed some TLC. Had breakfast one morning and was surprised that it was made to order (not a bad surprise). Had a drink in the hotel bar one evening and was served by a new member of staff who had no idea what to do. I had to talk her through the process of which bottle, which mixer and she struggled with the till. A manager was on the check in desk (on her personal phone) and the person serving us kept looking to her for help but none was offered. When the drinks were finally prepared I realised that somehow the wrong mixer was in my drink and I felt awful telling her. When another member of staff walked passed us, I asked him and explained the situation. Would I return to the hotel? No.

I’ve been for. 3 nights at this hotel and even though I’ve asked twice for housekeeping for my room, nobody cleaned it. I’m very disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend it at all. Additionally, you can not open the window , so it’s imposible to let fresh air come in. The location is good visit the town , it takes you about 10 Minutes to get to the city centre.

Bath had hair in it. Was challenged even though the colour didn't even match. No refreshments nor towels in the room. Was told to come down and get them ourselves. Was offered a complimentary drink but staff member forgot he had offered it to us when we went to the bar. No coke! So I couldn't even get a drink. More than 10 minute wait to be checked in as staff were bickering at the bar. No apologies from any staff member that night. Spoke to different member of staff the next day who was very nice and offered a partial refund however, unfortunately she charged us again so now waiting for two refunds. Would never go back to that particular hotel.

Hotel location ok except for lack of onsite Car Parking facility - arrangement with multi storey 750 yds away over bridge- supposedly at a discount but voucher given at reception did not work! Paid €38.50 for overnight stay! Staff unhelpful. Breakfast table issue - we booked but told by very rude Supervisor in morning we had not!

Poor service, family room way too small, kids beds ridiculously uncomfortable, small double bed. Fire alarm going off in middle of the night prevented cooked breakfast the following morning. Only good thing was location. Won’t stay again.

Disappointed in the service level! Paid €320/2 nights - single room excl BKF & was handled during check in like a piece of … No eye contact/ almost barked when questions where asked. Apparently cleaning your room is optional, so asked for it at reception (friendly blond lady this time). In the evening room still dirty. Called reception and could only bring new towels when I would wait for 30 min. So I did. Even after 1h nothing came… so had to go down at reception again to ask. Bath tub with curtain was lose… Lifts are really dirty & haven’t been cleaned for days. Positive point: beds are good quality & BKF (which I took optional is good price/quality)

Family room just a double room with 2 very hard single beds making it a very small room. Requested extra duvets to make beds more comfortable, asked for extra pillows both requests seemed to be a big issue, eventually got them but beds were not comfortable. Travelling with husband and 2 teenagers booked premier inn for normally great family rooms and good family breakfast. Second morning couldn’t have cooked Breakfast as fire alarm went off at 4am which shut the kitchen down (false alarm not hotel fault) we were given adult fast refund however trying buy breakfast for / adults and 2 teenagers in Dublin for 27.00 euros is not possible. Booked premier inn for normally great size family room and breakfast to include family at no extra cost, on this occasion got neither. Most Staff were unhelpful and uninterested in their customers, this is a Premier Inn we won’t be returning to 😠
