"The hotel is located in good area which is convenient to go everywhere. Many public transportation are available for your need, such as tram, bus and train etc. You can easily go to the famous spots. The breakfast is good and the staff is politely.I strongly recommended to stay here."
"The hotel surroundings are very quiet, and the overall feel is quite new. The room was clean and tidy, but very small. I had looked at the official website, and all the room pictures showed street views, but I was assigned to a low floor. When I opened the curtains, all I could see were clear glass windows across the way, so I had to keep them closed. This contrast with the pictures was a bit disappointing. Breakfast is included, but it's very simple – only a traditional Irish breakfast, nothing else. They clear everything away promptly at 10:30 AM."
"Pro’s - new hotel so it was very clean and trendy. Great shower pressure. Location is pretty good. Breakfast is great but very busy so a lot of the product runs out quick, more hot options would be good.
Con’s - the men working on the counters weren’t too friendly or welcoming upon arrival. no coffee station in room, they have these located in the ‘galley’ which is just sachet coffee, for the room price I think that a simple coffee machine would be appreciated by all guests."
"My freshly adult son was traveling alone to Dublin for school, so I booked him a transitional room for one night. He arrived in the morning, before the official check-in time, but the hotel allowed him to store his luggage and told him he could check in at 3 PM. He then went out to explore the area. On his way back to the hotel, he got caught in a heavy downpour and was completely drenched. As he sat in the lobby, feeling helpless, a staff member kindly approached him and asked if he'd like to go to his room then. Upon receiving an affirmative answer, they promptly helped him with an early check-in. Knowing he had to go to school the next day, they also thoughtfully assisted him in booking a taxi. I'm incredibly grateful to the hotel staff for taking care of my son. They provided such considerate care and attention to a young adult who was feeling lost and overwhelmed on his first day in a foreign country. I always trust Hilton's century-old quality and their attentive service to every guest. I also wish the kind staff good health and smooth work! Thank you very much!"
"The hotel is beautiful and steeped in history. Breakfast was very nice and location is convenient for the airport. My only issue was we stayed in room 003 and in the morning about 4am delivery trucks starting driving back and forth down the side alley which actually woke us up as the window was open. One of the trucks even decided to back up down the alley with a constant beep beep beep which was really annoying. I'm not sure why he just didn't turn around but clearly he chose not to. The other small issue was the shower took forever to drain but this is an easy fix which the hotel said they would look after. Other than that, the stay was wonderful."
"I recently stayed at the Hotel Riu Plaza The Gresham Dublin and found its location on O'Connell Street to be exceptionally convenient for exploring Dublin's main attractions.
However, the breakfast experience was underwhelming. Additionally, the lobby area felt cramped during peak times, making it less inviting for relaxation.
While the hotel's central location is a significant advantage, improvements in breakfast offerings and lobby comfort would enhance the overall guest experience."
"I booked this hotel for my husband who was on a business trip and decided to come along as it gave me a chance to visit Dublin. Am so glad I did. I had a polished, gracious welcome, a lovely room (thankfully facing away from the main streets) which was quiet, stylish but most of all, very comfortable. I enjoyed the vibe in the lobby, it’s well used by guests as well as locals and the breakfast was generous and extensive.
It’s always great when a hotel will continue to look after you after check out and my bags were taken care of and transport advice offered. Perfect stay!"
"This is a standard breakfast and board accommodation rather than a hotel per se. The location is centrally located in the city and the main attractions are within walking distance. The room is clean and comfortable however the hotel is in the city centre so if your room is in the basement section of the hotel as I was, it can be a little noisy with passersby however it was not a huge problem for me and slept quite well.
Breakfast was reasonable and the staff are quite friendly. Overall, suitable for few nights stay"
"Great location in the centre of Dublin (airport bus and other services stop right outside and you can get to other attractions fairly easily) and the price is reasonable for the location. The buffet breakfast is well stocked but sometimes the quality of the sausages and bacon lets it down."

Great
GGuest UserI think this will be a nice stay once their remodel is done, but wait until then.
When booked initially, the reservation was for the Hard Rock Hotel. About a week and a half before I arrived, NYX acquired the building. We received no notification about this from either business. The hotel was slightly outdated and undergoing the beginnings of redecoration. The staff seemed to either be hired by NYX and unfamiliar with the hotel or previous employees who were unfamiliar with the new management’s policies. For example, the manual chain lock on my door had been disabled in both of our rooms and the staff at the desk didn’t seem to understand how it had happened. They did move me to a room with a working manual lock immediately, but didn’t seem to understand why I felt the need for one as a single woman in the room and assured me that the staff would respect my privacy. The person in the other room in our booking also had his disabled but didn’t want to bother moving. The next day, housekeeping barged into his room without waiting for an answer to her knock. The person inside was just finishing dressing.
Other than that, it’s just little things that haven’t yet been worked out in the management change. For example their card scanners in the rooms and elevators seem to be new and still finicky, and the person at reception hadn’t read the laundry policy on the NYX laundry slips in the rooms. The slips specified it would be back by 6pm if picked up by 8am, but she said it might be the next day. She also had me bring the laundry down to the reception desk when the slip said it would be picked up. The staff was actually really great and when I pointed it out I did get same day laundry; it seemed like a new management miscommunication.
Overall, I’d recommend staying here after they’ve had a chance to settle and remodel. They were already starting to take down the Hard Rock decorations and I suspect they will also redo the older and brightly colored carpets and walls. Since we didn’t receive any notifications about the new management and redecorating, I’m not sure there will be one about that either.

GGuest UserWe arrived around 5.30pm and stayed only one night. The welcome drink was a nice touch but however in the morning there was lots of banging next door to our room. My husband was up all night with a cold so we hadn’t slept much. When we walked out of our room at 9.30 am to have breakfast the cleaners were sitting in armchairs with their vacuums and cleaning g products. It felt like they were waiting for us to go. When we returned to our room to pack up ( check out is 12) there was a knock at our door at 11.30 by cleaners. It felt like a lot of pressure for us to get out and no privacy as they were siting outside.
The staff at breakfast hovered and were on top of us and asked us to order straight away before we even read the menu. The wait for the food was long and my eggs were cold when they came out.
There is no lift to our floor so passing the cleaners sitting in armchairs we also passed cleaners sitting on the stairs. The whole experience felt unwelcoming and not private.
The hotel it self is well located and beautiful interiors but wouldn’t stay there again. We have stayed at a lot of boutique and 5 star hotels all over the world and this was just average.

LLiyana MydinThe bed took up most of the room, but the space was compact, clean, and served its purpose well. I must say, the bed was impressively large. It could probably fit three adults comfortably! 😂
The bathroom had body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. I'm not sure if items like a toothbrush were available on request, as I had my own and didn’t need to ask.
The location is excellent, very close to St. Stephen’s Green and in a safe area. The little café kiosk in the lobby serves the best hot chocolate!
I did experience some internet issues from nighttime until the next morning, but the person in charge addressed my concerns, so I can’t complain too much.
Breakfast was simple but satisfying, offering cereals, a small selection of pastries, and hot items like eggs, hash browns, sausages, mushrooms, and toast. There were also fruits and yoghurt available and also hot drinks and orange juice.Personally, I found it good value for €20 as it likely would’ve cost more to go out and order just a pastry and a hot drink elsewhere outside the hotel.
Overall, it was a quirky and good hotel. What you see is what you get, so before booking, do your own research.

TTeacherTravelTimesI decided to ditch staying in the city centre based on my below par experiences there on my last trip. When looking on Trip.com, Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel in Dalkey was the same price as several dorm rooms in the city centre when I looked.
Getting there from Dublin Airport was relatively straightforward. I took and Aircoach from the airport to Dalkey/Ulverton Road and then walked for about 15 minutes. Up to the hotel entrance.
The hotel is fairly old fashioned but personally I found it very charming. The staff were well-trained in the art of hospitality, the rooms were clean, locals were in and out of the bar, restaurant and leisure centre.
Furthermore, the room was spacious with tea and coffee making facilities. The tv had a nice range of channels and the bathroom had a working shower and an abundance of towels. One thing missing was a toothbrush, toothpaste and shaving kit. I was told that you can get slippers on request as well.
Get the breakfast. It’s €16 and it’s a buffet style with a delicious selection of hot and cold food. There’s rashers, sausages, hash browns, pancakes, the works. I wish I could’ve eaten more! I loved that they had a wide range of ages working there as well. One of the staff tripped when she went to ask if everything was ok and she said ‘I’m fine, I’m falling for you!’ It was then that I knew that I was home.
The leisure centre is one of the best I’ve come across in a while. I’ve stayed in so many places where it’s literally an empty room with a few bits of old equipment but they had loads of weights, treadmills, bikes, etc. They do classes and physiotherapy as well. The pool and jacuzzi were also excellent. Plenty of ages in both as well but it wasnt overcrowded so you’ll get a few lengths in if you want.
Lastly, make sure to go for a walk about Dalkey and the surrounding areas. I spent the morning walking down to the Vico Baths, the Forty Foot (both swimming locations) and passed through Dalkey Village. Plenty of people will be out with their family and friends whether it be for a walk, bike ride, swim or a coffee and a chat. Ditch Dublin City and say yes to Dalkey!
GGuest UserI would definitely recommend the bonnington to friends, the staff where so lovely and welcoming and the location was brilliant the hotel itself is beautiful so I would 100% recommend
AAnonymous UserGenerally a nice hotel, good for staying for short periods, just the sound proof is a bit bad, can hear everything from outside the corridor, and would be nice if there’s additional locker on the door, will feel much safer

TtorinessAwesome hotel in a GREAT location for going to a concert at 3 arena (as we did) or simply exploring Dublin City either on foot or easy public transport links. Hotel is very well run, great staff, and the room was so clean, spacious and no street noise!!! Highly recommend. Please note photos were taken as we were leaving - so the mess is ours - the room was immaculate when we arrived!!

GGuest UserComfortable, well-located hotel with friendly staff and well-equipped rooms and comfortable beds. The only things that spoiled our stay slightly were the overcooked bacon and the ”orange juice” which was just diluted orange squash - not remotely acceptable in a 4 star hotel.

AAnonymous Userwe stayed in a double bed room. the bed is big, and there’s a light, a mirror, and an air conditioner inside, so it’s very comfortable. the price. we stayed in dublin for just 53€. it’s a little bit far from the city center but there’s a bus stop and luas nearby.
