Great
GGuest UserAfter had ling trip in ireland, it good to stay in this hotel begore take flght back to home, there is tub bath to soak your body from trie, a park in front of hotel to walk and relax ,threre is ice machine and filller water machine .at last complimentary shuttle bus to airport.
CColin CraigThe hotel is beautiful and steeped in history. Breakfast was very nice and location is convenient for the airport. My only issue was we stayed in room 003 and in the morning about 4am delivery trucks starting driving back and forth down the side alley which actually woke us up as the window was open. One of the trucks even decided to back up down the alley with a constant beep beep beep which was really annoying. I'm not sure why he just didn't turn around but clearly he chose not to. The other small issue was the shower took forever to drain but this is an easy fix which the hotel said they would look after. Other than that, the stay was wonderful.
KKa W HoNo one reply my in-app message so I have to call. And it’s weird that the receptionist is not clear about my Gold membership benefits such as late checkout and free breakfast but what I find the most disrespectful is that the receptionist has to ask the duty manager for my requests yet the manager was just chatting with other staff and she never smile at me whenever I pass by and look at her. I’d love to stay again but the reception should be trained properly again.

GGuest UserWe arrived around 5.30pm and stayed only one night. The welcome drink was a nice touch but however in the morning there was lots of banging next door to our room. My husband was up all night with a cold so we hadn’t slept much. When we walked out of our room at 9.30 am to have breakfast the cleaners were sitting in armchairs with their vacuums and cleaning g products. It felt like they were waiting for us to go. When we returned to our room to pack up ( check out is 12) there was a knock at our door at 11.30 by cleaners. It felt like a lot of pressure for us to get out and no privacy as they were siting outside.
The staff at breakfast hovered and were on top of us and asked us to order straight away before we even read the menu. The wait for the food was long and my eggs were cold when they came out.
There is no lift to our floor so passing the cleaners sitting in armchairs we also passed cleaners sitting on the stairs. The whole experience felt unwelcoming and not private.
The hotel it self is well located and beautiful interiors but wouldn’t stay there again. We have stayed at a lot of boutique and 5 star hotels all over the world and this was just average.

LLiyana MydinThe bed took up most of the room, but the space was compact, clean, and served its purpose well. I must say, the bed was impressively large. It could probably fit three adults comfortably! 😂
The bathroom had body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. I'm not sure if items like a toothbrush were available on request, as I had my own and didn’t need to ask.
The location is excellent, very close to St. Stephen’s Green and in a safe area. The little café kiosk in the lobby serves the best hot chocolate!
I did experience some internet issues from nighttime until the next morning, but the person in charge addressed my concerns, so I can’t complain too much.
Breakfast was simple but satisfying, offering cereals, a small selection of pastries, and hot items like eggs, hash browns, sausages, mushrooms, and toast. There were also fruits and yoghurt available and also hot drinks and orange juice.Personally, I found it good value for €20 as it likely would’ve cost more to go out and order just a pastry and a hot drink elsewhere outside the hotel.
Overall, it was a quirky and good hotel. What you see is what you get, so before booking, do your own research.

GGuest UserThis was an okay hotel. My main complaint is the initial cleanliness. There was so much dust everywhere, one of towels was badly stained, the shower had mold, and the bed sheet had some stains. Honestly I was disgusted. One thing to note is that if you are staying less than 7 days your room does not get cleaned. You have to pay extra for cleaning. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good (maybe not worth the 14 euro extra fee per day). The location was great, walking distance from the canal where there are many restaurants and shops. The room is very small but does have all of the amenities needed if you are staying for an extender period of time and want to cook (though I am not sure about laundry service for clothes) Personally I will not book this chain again mainly due to the cleanliness and I prefer a hotel where the room is cleaned/re-stoked daily.

TTeacherTravelTimesI decided to ditch staying in the city centre based on my below par experiences there on my last trip. When looking on Trip.com, Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel in Dalkey was the same price as several dorm rooms in the city centre when I looked.
Getting there from Dublin Airport was relatively straightforward. I took and Aircoach from the airport to Dalkey/Ulverton Road and then walked for about 15 minutes. Up to the hotel entrance.
The hotel is fairly old fashioned but personally I found it very charming. The staff were well-trained in the art of hospitality, the rooms were clean, locals were in and out of the bar, restaurant and leisure centre.
Furthermore, the room was spacious with tea and coffee making facilities. The tv had a nice range of channels and the bathroom had a working shower and an abundance of towels. One thing missing was a toothbrush, toothpaste and shaving kit. I was told that you can get slippers on request as well.
Get the breakfast. It’s €16 and it’s a buffet style with a delicious selection of hot and cold food. There’s rashers, sausages, hash browns, pancakes, the works. I wish I could’ve eaten more! I loved that they had a wide range of ages working there as well. One of the staff tripped when she went to ask if everything was ok and she said ‘I’m fine, I’m falling for you!’ It was then that I knew that I was home.
The leisure centre is one of the best I’ve come across in a while. I’ve stayed in so many places where it’s literally an empty room with a few bits of old equipment but they had loads of weights, treadmills, bikes, etc. They do classes and physiotherapy as well. The pool and jacuzzi were also excellent. Plenty of ages in both as well but it wasnt overcrowded so you’ll get a few lengths in if you want.
Lastly, make sure to go for a walk about Dalkey and the surrounding areas. I spent the morning walking down to the Vico Baths, the Forty Foot (both swimming locations) and passed through Dalkey Village. Plenty of people will be out with their family and friends whether it be for a walk, bike ride, swim or a coffee and a chat. Ditch Dublin City and say yes to Dalkey!
AAnonymous UserGenerally a nice hotel, good for staying for short periods, just the sound proof is a bit bad, can hear everything from outside the corridor, and would be nice if there’s additional locker on the door, will feel much safer

AAlanI found the hotel really handy. It’s right on the Luas line. There’s a nice park and some great pubs nearby, which made the location even better.
I was able to park my car near the hotel overnight, which was very convenient since I had to leave early the next morning. The staff were friendly and helpful, and my room was quiet, perfect for a good night’s sleep.
