A Hidden Treasure This guesthouse was one of the best surprises of our trip. Its location is perfect—right in the heart of the ancient town on the pedestrian street, making it easy to explore, find great food, and access the nearby hiking trails. From the outside, the entrance looks like a small, unassuming restaurant, so we weren't expecting much. However, the room completely exceeded our expectations. It was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The large tatami-style bed was soft, and the bedding was of excellent quality, making for a wonderful night's sleep. The restaurant is also worth trying. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the chicken soup with ginkgo nuts. It was so flavorful that I even ate all the chicken skin—something I never do! The biggest highlight was the exceptional service. The staff created a dedicated WeChat group for each guest, so any questions or requests were answered almost instantly. Every evening, the owner also prepared a freshly made sweet dessert soup for every guest, which was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel truly welcomed. This place combines a great location, comfortable rooms, delicious food, and genuine hospitality. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again.

The facilities are fantastic and incredibly photogenic! Each room has a front and back yard. Waking up and enjoying the morning sun in the front yard is so refreshing. You can also enjoy a private hot spring in the back yard – after a day of hiking, a dip in the hot spring is pure bliss! The hotel also has a swimming pool. It's a bit far from the ancient town, so you'll need to book a car in advance. And the breakfast is delicious too!

This hotel is a gem – a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. The bedding was spotless, comfortable, and just the right firmness. I also appreciated the nice toiletries. All the staff were wonderful and proactively helpful. I really miss sitting on the balcony in the evening, watching the rain and listening to the cicadas – it was such a relaxing and peaceful feeling. The mountains are truly amazing, I wish I could live there forever.

The hotel environment is very good, clean and hygienic, the room is fully equipped, the full set of smart homes, the area is also very large, the private soup experience is good, you can also eat, you can play in the water downstairs, more than 2 kilometers away from Tai'an Ancient Town. Very recommended.

Absolutely incredible value for money! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place with fresh air to enjoy a hot spring staycation. I chose this place based on the great reviews, and it truly exceeded my expectations in the end! The room was genuinely huge, and the decor perfectly matches a modern aesthetic. I especially loved the fireplace; it was beautiful. The private hot spring experience was excellent. You can adjust the water temperature yourself as needed, unlike some hotels where the water isn't hot enough. Plus, the water flow is quick and strong, so you don't have to wait long to soak. I must commend them on the wet/dry separation – it was very well done and thorough, which many private hot spring facilities overlook. The guesthouse is 2km from Tai'an Ancient Town, but! They offer free shuttle service. You just need to inform them, and let them know in advance when you want to return! The service in this regard is simply outstanding. There are only 12 rooms in total, so breakfast isn't a buffet, but the portions are so generous you can't even finish it. I'll definitely be back if I get the chance.

Private Butler Service: The service attitude is excellent, very conscientious and responsible, making the travel experience great. Private shuttle service within Qingcheng Mountain Back Area Scenic Area: This is a very practical service. When I couldn't walk anymore, the staff still helped me even outside of the shuttle hours. A big shoutout to the staff! 🍗 Environment: The environment is peaceful and quiet, and the air is fresh.

The Shanaaoao Inn is located within the back mountain scenic area of Mount Qingcheng. We stayed for 2 nights with our child, and everything went smoothly from booking to check-out. The inn, which opened in August 2025, is very new with tasteful decor and high-end bathroom facilities. It's clear the owner put a lot of thought into this place. The inn boasts pleasant scenery, and the large floor-to-ceiling windows offer direct mountain views. They also have adorable kittens, and the first thing our child did after waking up was look for them. The staff at the inn were all fantastic, and they even provide a shuttle service to the ancient town. A special shout-out to the inn's manager, a young man who is diligent, efficient, makes great coffee, cooks delicious food, and interacts wonderfully with children – truly an all-rounder! We had an early flight, and he went out of his way to prepare breakfast for us before his shift started. This excellent and charming manager was an unexpected delight during our stay and left us with truly wonderful memories.

My 3-day, 2-night trip to Mount Qingcheng with my girlfriend was absolutely lovely! 💓 DAY 1, Mount Qingcheng ⛰️: We started the morning hand-in-hand, hiking the back mountain 👫, walking the Longyin Gorge boardwalk to hear the rushing waterfalls 🌊, and hanging a love lock at Shangqing Palace 🔒. We took some sweet couple photos under the ancient ginkgo trees 📸, then took the cable car down the mountain when we were tired 🚡. In the evening, we returned to the hotel for a cozy tea ceremony by the fireplace 🍵, listening to the owner explain the local Taoist tea culture 🍃. The underfloor heating throughout the hotel kept us warm and snug 🔥. DAY 2, Tai'an Ancient Town 🏮: We strolled along the bluestone paths 🚶, watched the stream flow through the town's heart 💧, visited Tai'an Temple to pray for blessings 🙏, and savored local sausages, cured meats, and mushroom hotpot 🥘. We then relaxed at a teahouse by the stream, soaking up the sun ☀️, slowly enjoying our precious time together 💞. The two-day pace was perfect, with the serene mountain forests complementing the lively ancient town. It's an ideal getaway for couples in autumn and winter! 🥰 This hotel, located right within the scenic area and facing Tai'an Ancient Town 🏨, truly offers peak romance and comfort. Our room had a private hot spring tub ♨️, where we enjoyed rose herbal baths while admiring the red leaves reflecting in the misty clouds 🍂. At night, we shared a magical moment watching the stars reflect on the water ✨. The privacy here is unbeatable! 👍

The environment was great, and it was very quiet at night. The private hot spring bath was on the balcony, so it wasn't stuffy or damp inside. The roller blinds also provided excellent privacy. The water filled quickly and was warm enough, making for a very comfortable soak. When we arrived in the evening, the owner upgraded us to a larger room. The room was spacious, and the air conditioning and underfloor heating were excellent. The bathroom was also large, especially the vanity, which was a big plus. The only downside was the lack of bedside tables and the limited space—just a small coffee table. Hopefully, the owner can add more.

The check-in experience is good, clean and hygienic, and the lady will also help with the luggage attentively. You can order their snacks in the evening and they can be delivered directly to the room. You can enjoy the food after taking a hot spring bath! You can also make tea around the stove. The room has both air conditioning and floor heating, so you can spend a beautiful day in the room.
