We stayed here on the last days of the Fringe festival so we chose it for its reasonable price. Location is very good, I'd say 15 minutes walking from the centre. Nothing fancy as it's a student accommodation but overall clean and pleasant. The only thing I would improve is cleanliness and temperature in the corridors as the carpets are stained and old, and it was too hot. As for the room, despite being tiny, it didn't feel claustrophobic, thanks also to the the big window, and I liked the bathroom quite new, bright, and clean. In conclusion, I'd definitely recommend staying here.

Good value for money and excellent location in Edinburgh. Our flat was spacious and comfortable for a three-day stay. With each bedroom being en suite we all had comfortable sleeping and living arrangements. The kitchen was well appointed and the reception desk even gave us shampoo and dishwasher soap tablets. As it was warm, they also made fans available at no cost to anyone who wanted one. We travel to Edinburgh every summer. We absolutely plan to return to Destiny Murano next July.

I've never stayed in a hostel before, let alone in a former jail revamped as one ! Besides the gimmick, the Court is a wonderful place to stay if you are visiting Edinburgh, whether on a budget or not : fantastic location near the St Giles cathedral (where city tours seemingly start from), super friendly staff and surprisingly clean amenities (first time experience in a hostel so I didn't know what to expect quite frankly). Would definitely recommend !

As we walked in after a long drive up from South Wales we were welcomed by Julie with a great smile and a lovely welcome. When we got up and stepped into the corridor Sarah who was cleaning the rooms gave us a wonderful friendly good morning. It is amazing what a difference this makes. Thank you, both. Overall the stay was good, room spotlessly clean, quiet and we enjoyed a meal at the Chinese restaurant in the evening and a good breakfast choice too in the morning. we will be back!

The hotel was nice. We arrived on a Friday evening when there was a huge event taking place at the house. Check-in was quick and easy. Rooms were clean just a bit warm. Fortunately, we had a fan in the room. Beds were very comfy. Dinner at the restaurant was ok, nothing fancy but fine for the price. However, staff is in dire need of training. Not one single waitress/waiter was able to smile. They spoke very fast and slurred and we had to wave them to come back for further orders. When we ordered the bill, something went wrong with the card and they just walked away, mumbling something we could not understand. After 10 minutes they still did not get back to us so we had to catch them at the bar in order to clarify what happened. Turned out the card was declined and they did not make any efforts in letting us know. Which left us with a very strange feeling. Breakfast was the same, staff was not able to smile or at least look friendly. It all felt like it was a shame that they had to work. Not sure what the reason is for that as they treated all guests the same way. The next morning we were sitting in the breakfast area with the sun blinding us so we asked them to pull down the blinds but they told us they were just facade. Breakfast buffet was very poor: Kellogs cereal bags (the small ones) 3 bananas, 2 old apples and some grapes.

Where do I begin, Norton House hosted mine and my partners wedding at the end of April and it was the best day of my life! Right from the start of planning, through to the execution of the day, the staff and venue pulled out all the stops to make it the best day ever for everyone involved! We have had nothing but compliments from all our guests over how amazing the staff were, how smoothly the day ran and the venue itself is a beautiful place to get married! Fully recommend Laura for all your planning needs, making sure everything is perfect and organised right up to the day of! Also Victoria for running our day and making sure everything was perfect, and even calming me down right before I walked down the aisle! The rest of the staff on the night were absolutely amazing and I cannot say enough to thank them all for making it the most special and magical day ever! ＜3

I am shocked to see the hotel with a 4-star rating on here. Everything about our experience was brilliant. We visited the hotel towards the end of March for a friends wedding. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, the drive in, the main reception building, the function room. A really special place to tie the knot. I think I can speak for most of the wedding party in saying the service was absolutely brilliant. All the staff were so attentive and really went above and beyond in catering to everybody’s needs. A special mention to Sofie and Johanna who were tending the bar. They really outdid themselves, professional and extremely pleasant throughout. I can’t imagine how hard it must be dealing with so many merry party goes but they did it with a smile and really went the extra mile and helped to make it a really great day. But thank you to everyone at the Dalmahoy, it was an amazing day.

We used this hotel following arrival at the airport from overseas and night prior to departure . It was ideal. Nice location, friendly staff. It was pleasant to walk around the wooded campus and neighborhoods of adjacent Herriot-Watt University. We will be back. ... We stayed 1 night in the Roomzzz aparthotel and it was amazing, the staff on reception were happy and helpful. The reception and the room itself were both immaculately clean, the room was modern and spacious with all the facilities we needed, the beds are really comfortable too. In reception we were offered complimentary hot drinks whenever we liked and on the following morning complimentary pastries are served which was a lovely touch. The location is amazing also right in the centre so within walking distance to both the new town and old town, over all amazing and when next visiting Edinburgh will be booking here again x
