Pleasant entrance area, the Reception staff were ok to begin with but over time ( the stay was about 2 months), they were less friendly to the point there were no greetings at all. The corridors to the rooms were brown and dingy , not particularly clean either. The room was cleaned every other day. The WiFi was virtually non existent, which is not good enough for a 3 star hotel.Nothing was done about it, when complaints were made. They were supposed to supply biscuits with the tea and coffee but ran out for several weeks? All in all I don't think it deserves the 3 star rating as it fails toprovide what it advertises. I would not recommend this hotel at all.

Perfectly fine hotel, beds were comfy as was the bathroom. Staff were very pleasant on arrival and departure. Excellent location , 30m from the front, probably 30m from the tennis/ theatre if you wanted to go there. Could do with a little tidying up, but we paid a very reasonable amount to stay.

The room was atrocious there was mold on the shower curtains, rizzler packets under the bed, the toilet was dirty, marks up wall it was really disgusting it was that bad I was coughing and I really wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone especially the fact they won't give a refund for such a horrible stay and room For the price it is very very under rated I don't recommend it to anyone

Staff were nice and the room was clean. Great location. That's about as much as I can say thats positive. Corridors stank of smoke, shower lukewarm and weak, reading lights broken. Window shattered and covered up with board. Needs a lot of love.

This hotel needs a health warning. It is not just dirty it's unhygienic. Carpets filthy...cardboard on the windows covering broken glass. Bedroom is NOTHING like pics. Dirty poo stains all down the side of the bed. Don't know what the lumpy material was in pillow case but not a pillow. Receptionist is asian sooooo rude and shouted at me when I asked for late check in as travelling for a funeral. Hall and stairs disgusting and fire extinguishers hanging off the wall. If there was a fire I doubt if you would get out endless corridors no signage. Do not stay here...

Even the entrance was grubby I didn't want to touch anything....the staff smelt of BO .. Honestly do not be fooled this is a most disgusting hotel... Would not recommend to stay here. Staff were rude, arguing check in time on our booking yet it was booked through their website. Overall cleanliness was awful, the duvet in the cover was all brown and stained. The door in one of the rooms didn’t double lock, the button on the shower fell off while in it. The kettle smelt terrible and there were dirty stains on the bathroom floor. The toilet and sink were absolutely disgusting/dirty. If you want to stay somewhere nice i definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The pictures of the hotel and rooms are very deceiving. Small, easy fixes would make a huge difference. Such as: Signs/directions for bedrooms being more clear and official rather than just cut out bits of paper sellotaped to the wall. Customer service training for staff. Soft close fixings on doors, especially the main entrance! A small table in the room for making hot drinks. Provide somewhere to put clothes, I’m not sure how people manage when staying more than one night. My room, advertised as a “deluxe double” was extremely basic. I’m not sure what could constitute the use of the word deluxe. The bathroom was very clean/maybe recently refurbished. The air con/heating system was broken and covered with tape, which looked awful, but I could open a small window and had the use of a stand up fan. The tray for the tea making supplies was broken, such a simple thing to replace and would make a big difference. It just demonstrates lack of care and attention to detail. It was also just perched on one of the bedside shelves with no real room for making hot drinks safely. The kettle was covered in a thick layer of dust (that put me off using it). Only full fat UHT milk provided, I would have preferred semi skimmed but this is being really fussy!!! There was a cigarette burn in my duvet cover. The bed was comfortable however and I slept well. Customer service on arrival was seriously lacking. I used the online check in. On arrival, I was just handed a key and told my room number. I was not given any other information such as parking, wifi (which didn’t work), how to get to my room or the fact that breakfast was not being served. I found all this out from friends who were also staying at the hotel and had asked. The wifi didn’t work in my room, not sure if this has anything to do with it being room 101?! CHECK PARKING INFORMATION! - When I asked about parking I was told that the £2.20 (very reasonable) parking permit would be valid until from Saturday afternoon until Monday morning. We then got a parking fine on Sunday morning. When we went back to the hotel to enquire/seek assistance in the matter we were told they could not help and we would need to speak to the manager but the staff member wouldn’t tell us the manager’s name. This staff member (green hair) needs further customer service training; it is perfectly acceptable to request the manager’s name to direct correspondence to. No further help or suggestions were offered. This was very frustrating and we are now left to sort the issue out - even after contacting the manager on the Monday, we are still none the wiser and have just been told to appeal the ticket which is just added stress that no one needs! The cost of the stay for one night was reasonable for the convenience of the location. Had the location not been so handy, I would be asking for some compensation for the inconvenience caused and misrepresentation on their website. We had lovely food and drinks at the View hotel which i
