We had an excellent stay at the Place. Very clean and very cozy. Very easy accessible to shops, supermarkets and just within walking distance to the shopping area. 5-10 mins walk from weaverly station. Will definitely go again. Only one little problem. Not to take up rooms too high up as no elevators so dragging the luggage up the stairs will be hard especially if you have a large suit case. However they were very helpful to carry for you So overall, will still go back there Thank you for such a pleasant stay

Location is good very close to bus station. Room is small by tidy. Bad mattress in room. You can listen spring sound and No support. Most problem is noise pollution since Room nearby main road and trams track, but sound isolation is poor caused unable to sleep😢

The location is very good, in the new city near the old city, and there are shopping malls nearby. The public area of the hotel is relatively large and quiet. Luggage can be stored at the front desk, and the waiter is very nice. If the room is not facing the street, the scenery is very good, and you can see the seaside when the weather is good. If you don't live in the attic, the room has a high net height and the bathroom is also very clean. The heating is also very hot. The only drawback is that there is no elevator, but the waiter can help with the luggage.

The location is very good, very close to the train station. I was temporarily upgraded to a room with two bedrooms and one living room in the basement, and a very large suite. I just couldn't use the shower very well. After researching for a long time, I finally took a bath in the bathtub.

Stayed here for 3 nights with family mainly for Tattoo . As stated by others , no lift . We asked for 1st floor rooms when booking and this was done for us . Check in easy , room spacious and clean .Tea , coffee in room , 1 packet of biscuits first day but not replaced subsequently , disappointing . Well placed for Tattoo , castle . Fringe , train station . We didn't eat there but plenty of eateries nearby . Used the bar a couple of times, drinks competitively priced . Not cheap , about £300 a night and no breakfast , but going rate in city when Tattoo and Fringe on .

We recently stayed here for a weekend, and whilst the hotel was lovely and clean and very friendly, we weren't aware that there was no lift. We were on the 3rd floor and my husband has mobility issues. We did manage it, albeit very slowly, but I think this should be stated on the booking sites. Breakfast was a bit expensive for what it was, and we found the hot options to be a little limited. The staff were super friendly though, especially the young lady in the breakfast room. I wouldn't choose to stay here again, but only because of the stairs. Everything else was lovely

This is the best hotel that we stayed in on our entire trip in Scotland. The room was extremely spacious and the bathroom was fantastic. We wish that it had been more than just an overnight stay at the end of our trip. Had we only known we would’ve stayed in Edinburgh for three days in this fabulous hotel.

Good location and friendly enough staff. Room was big but sparse, worst mattress I’ve ever had in a hotel, could actually feel the springs. The bathroom was spotless, looked newly done. Some wall art and a small sofa would improve the room. Lots of stairs and if staying on top floors, be prepared. Disappointed bar closed early on Saturday night as returned after our event looking forward to relaxing with a nightcap.

Friendly staff. They were helpful with suggestions and helped us to our room. No elevator is the only complaint. We would go back. Close to downtown and the castle. Easy walk to busses and train station. ……………………………………………………thanks!!!!!!!

Excellent service, friendly staff. They couldn’t do anything more to help make your stay an amazing experience. Breakfast was delicious and lots to choose from. Be aware, no lifts so there will be some stairs but that’s fine. Highly recommend staying here.

The room and staff were lovely however the room was so hot and the fan was so loud. We couldn't have the windows fully open due to the curtains being closed. It was a lovely hotel and the location was ideal as it is in the centre. We were able to keep our luggage there after for us to go shopping.

Customer service that goes well beyond. Cracking location so easy to get anywhere with a tram stop minutes away and Princess St around the corner. But I have to thank Jim the Night Manager and Jennifer for the most amazing customer service. Both of you guys are amazing. Thank you once again v

Fabulous one night stay, central to all amenities and transport links. We were on an Itison deal with cocktails, dinner and breakfast and emailed prior to ask if we could leave our bags before check in, came back later in the day and were upgraded to a huge room which was an amazing surprise. The only thing i didnt like was the zip on the duvet. No lift but that wasnt an ussue for us. The hotel is lovely, spotlessly clean. The best thing about this hotel is the staff, every single one we encountered was a delight from reception staff, the girl in the bar and the girl at breakfast this morning. We will definitely be back.
Response from Property: Dear Nicola, Thank you very much for leaving such a kind review following your recent stay with us. It is marvellous to read you could benefit from such a fabolous experience with us. We have passed on your comments of appraisal to our wonderful team. First time in probably 25y I’ve had to try and sleep in a single bed/single duvet. The bed creaked awfully if I move and, wedged between a bedside table and a wall, I woke constantly throughout the night hitting elbows, retrieving the duvet from the floor. Bathroom was particularly uncomfortable to navigate, the smallest I’ve ever seen. As described, while a pretty building, friendly staff, nice bar area and absolutely spotlessly clean I’m not sure I’d be able to consider another trip
Response from Property: Dear Justin, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us. I am very pleased to read you enjoyed the facilities around the hotel and found our staff to be attentive. I am saddened to read about your dissapointment with dimensions of the room, as these are disclosed prior to booking. Our single rooms naturally include a single bed, so I do apologize for any confusion here. Warm regards, Anna Biddulph Hotel Operations Supervisor
