Ho trascorso in questa struttura l’intera scorsa settimana e mi sono trovata benissimo, tornando davvero rigenerata a casa! L’Hotel Grazia alla Scannella sovrasta l’omonima baia: sospeso fra l’azzurro del cielo e il verde del mare, gode di una posizione tranquilla, che regala una vista di impareggiabile bellezza, specie al tramonto (per il raggiungimento della vicina spiaggia di Citara, l’hotel mette comunque a disposizione degli ospiti una navetta gratuita, che effettua più corse durante la giornata). La struttura è stata rinnovata da poco, tutti gli ambienti sono estremamente puliti, le camere arredate con gusto; la mia aveva un grazioso balconcino ad angolo, che da un lato affacciava sulla piscina esterna e dall’altro offriva l’incantevole vista della baia. Apprezzabile il parco termale ed il centro benessere; bellissima la piscina esterna con terrazza-solarium; molto ricco e vario il buffet della colazione; ottima, tanto nella preparazione quanto nella presentazione degli alimenti, la cucina; personale cortese e sempre disponibile. Molto piacevole la serata ischitana, offerta la sera del sabato, con menù tipico e musica dal vivo: un plauso alla bravura del maître, improvvisatosi attore/cantante, ma anche al trio musicale di chitarre e mandolino, bravi davvero! Ho apprezzato molto le lezioni di acqua gym, offerte dalla Direzione il giovedì e il sabato, non ho potuto partecipare a quelle di yoga, invece, perché non avevo un abbigliamento adatto con me, sarà per una prossima volta! This is my first time here, my wife's second. She has been trying to get me here for the past two years. This time we came in a group of two couples and stayed in the exquisite Villa Giusy extension, over the hotel. Highly recommended. Il Sorriso is just super-excellent in every category. I am just sorry I didn't come years ago ! We will certainly be back at least a couple of times a year, every year, from now on. Summary; Wonderful location, amazing spa services and highest standards throughout. Amazing and super-close sea views, wonderful friendly staff, very professional but with that special warmth and dignity that comes with being an island people. As an Irishman, I appreciate and recognise these special traits. It is not just Luca and Simeone in the navettes, it is all the wonderful people from dining room to reception to pool staff who go the extra mile to check that all is well with you. We are spolied now and will expect this everywhere we go, but, in vain. There is unfortunately only one Sorriso Thermae Resort & Spa and you have to come to Ischia to find it. We have all the spa services you could want, in addition, we are right beside the justifiably famous Poiseidon Thermal Park and gardens served by the hotel navette service that also takes clients to the Spiaggia di Citara and various touristic destinations, if you really, really need to leave this oasis of comfort, pleasure and, above all, total relax. Bring some books. Your feet with sprout roots and you will develop an intense desire to just stay put and be cosseted in this paradise by these very special people. I admit it, I am still here and I am begining to wonder just how I can avoid going home.......... John

My daughter and I loved our stay. The hotel is so welcoming. All of the staff are lovely and friendly. The place is immaculate! Our room was quite minimalist but had everything we needed. There was no noise through the walls from neighbouring rooms. It was lovely to sit on the small sunny balcony and watch the world go by. We were on the ground floor at the front but it was still nice and quiet with excellent aircon. The gardens are beautiful and the pool is lovely and warm with the option of the indoor pool and spa area as well. We opted for half board as it seemed such a bargain and there’s not many places to eat unless you want to walk into Forio town. The restaurant is run with fantastic precision! You choose your evening meal at breakfast each day from the day’s menu which has a meat, fish or veggie option for the first and second courses. The food is lovely and there’s a great choice of wines. Would recommend the local red wine! You can get the hotel minibus to a nearby beach. It’s 30 euros paid in cash and you get 2 sunbeds and a parasol. The bus is free. I would recommend a beach visit. It’s very picturesque and the sea is clear and warm. We took our own beach towels rather than getting them from the reception as I think you may have to pay. All in all, I would definitely recommend the hotel if you fancy a wonderful relaxing stay.
