Lovely independent hostel. Exactly what I was hoping for - friendly staff, nice bar, good selection of ales, clean rooms with en suite. The power sockets and night lights fitten into the frames of the bunk beds were a lovely touch. Would stay again.

We stayed one night and played golf nearby. Nice, clean and comfortable rooms. A friendly bar where we watched Euro football games. Beautiful location. Very quiet, and walking distance from restaurants and shops. Very good value and highly recommended.

Wonderful place. We arrived on bikes after a pretty gruelling off road track. Hungry and tired. We were given a very warm welcome, a lovely spacious room, good food and our bikes were happily housed as we were. Thoroughly recommend and would always come here again.

Location is excellent for fellow hikers on the Great Glen Way as the hostel is on the path! Food is brilliant and reasonably priced with the option for a take away lunch which was lovely and options for breakfast! Towels were only £1 to hire and the best feature about this hostel is that the shower was attached to the room!! Unheard of for most hostels! If that doesn’t please you there are other showers located elsewhere to use also. The kitchen is well stocked however when busy make sure to snap up a mug asap for your cup of teas! Staff was really helpful and friendly and the atmosphere was great! Really recommend!

We booked Morag's Lodge because of apparent high review ratings. Upon arrival the unfriendly reception told us to pay extra for towels, also we were told to remove bed-linen in the morning and bring it to the reception area. Never had this before. The room was very basic (spartanic). The overal impression of room and lodge was rather dingy and worn out. The room had bunk beds, I knocked my head several times against the steel rim of the upper bed. Not good value for money, certainly in comparison with other Scottish B&B's.

Super nice hostel, the staff is super friendly and helpful, the kitchen is nice and clean and the beds are very comfortable. The hostel is close to the city and close to many hiking paths and the lake. They have sofas standing around everywhere and also a bar to relax in.

Probably the best hostel I've stayed in. I've been to hotels that couldn't compete with Morag's. I honestly can't fault the place. Staff , location , price, food, scenery, cleanliness were all top notch. The shower in our dorm was superb. We will be back again next year.

Stayed one night as part of our Great Glen Canoe Trail expedition. Comfortable accommodation, very clean and ideal for our needs. Friendly and helpful staff. Good facilities and good location (10 min walk to Loch Ness, shops & pub). Recommended.
