Ishiwa Onsen was more than 10 years ago, and there was no ATM in the convenience store at that time, and there was a troubled memory. This time I was lost with the fireworks festival in Kawaguchiko, but I made it to Ishiwa Onsen. It was a 47000 yen accommodation fee using a discount of 5000 yen. I was looking forward to booking a rental bath. Check-in is a room. The view was in front of the station, so the ion was rounded and the mountain was visible on the left side. Because there was only one elevator, I got off the stairs about three times. I changed my clothes in front of Tan and went to the beer of the welcome drink, and it was said that I would not drink it if I didn't take a bath. There are people who drink before taking a bath, but there is a small cup of service. There is no such inn until now. Rent bath at 17 o'clock. The bath was large and was wasteful for 2 people. There were a lot of paper hair on the hairbrush. I was impressed that the dryer was Dyson. Dinner is a menu that tends to be a Japanese inn. Breakfast is 1 until now. Coffee and green tea were brought. The young employee put a rubber ring in front of Tan. It was a private room, so I want you to make a large Bon. I asked for pancakes and French toast came. I didn't eat fruit, but I was assisting it while peeling, so it was delicious when I ate apples. The souvenir bought a set of wine bottles and boiled shellfish. I was happy because abalone was cheap. This trip often hurts my mood. In Lotteria, I was waiting for 15 minutes with potatoes or in a cafe, I was washing dishes because I was not guided to the seat, and the image of Ishiwa became bad. There is an inn that makes Kawaguchiko enjoy the eyes and taste with about 30000 yen. It was good to be a fireworks festival. I will not go to Ishiwa Onsen ❗️

I think this is probably the closest inn to Isawa Onsen Station. (A few minutes walk from the station). It's been over a year since I last used the service, but I'm always happy when someone says, ”Thank you for using our service.” This is one of my favorite accommodations in Isawa Onsen, and the beautiful interior has become even more beautiful after being renovated. The twin room I booked is a modern Japanese style, with a large bed, TV (you can watch YouTube), plenty of outlets, and a Bermuda kettle (easy to make coffee). The backrest cushion on the bed is flat, so it can be used as a cushion, which is useful when you want to sit on the tatami mat for a while. I used it to adjust the height of the pillow. The washroom area is stocked with lotions, a mirror for applying makeup, and a faucet for drinking water. Although I didn't use it, the bathroom in the room was also large. The public bath is unique in that it has a rotating men's and women's bath, and a wine bath. Very clean bathroom and laundry area. As soon as you get out of the bath, there is a rest area and several free massage machines. For dinner, this time I chose the light course seasonal gozen. This course is recommended for those who do not want to eat a lot, such as women and elderly people, so it is a course where you can stay at a reasonable price. I think this course is good because it will fill you up quite a bit. The restaurant is not a perfect private room, but the tables are spaced like private rooms, so you can eat without hesitation. Each item will be delivered at this pace. The good thing about this is that each portion is small, so you can finish the entire meal until the final meal. For wine, we BYO'd Yamanashi wine (corkage fee is 1000 yen). Breakfast was a half buffet with lots of side dishes and everything else. In the past, you could choose Japanese or Western breakfast, but now it's a half-buffet and there's bread, so it seems that Western food is gone. A large number of small red Sazanka flowers were blooming in the gardens and hedges of the inn. This is a very relaxing inn with a spacious and beautiful interior.

This is a hotel that is proud of its open-air bath surrounded with Japanese garden! Please try the Japanese-course meal of the season.

MMarianJ007 2020.08.09
I was surprised by the beauty and size of the garden at the inn with a Japanese garden (about 3,000 tsubo). Only part of it can be seen from the lobby. It looks like the Adachi Museum garden. Many times, I enjoyed the garden while drinking barley tea in the lobby after taking a bath. In the lobby, bell crickets were chirping, and I tasted the taste of summer. Medaka (baby) was also in the aquarium, and there were many paintings in the hall. The room was a little old, but it was a large Japanese-style room with chairs and a table on the wide veranda, so it was comfortable. Wi-Fi is also connected in the room. The hot water in the bath is colorless and transparent, and there is no gender change. There are many very large square rocks in the open-air bath, and personally, I thought it looked like a gegege coloring pot. Dinner was served in the room and was excellent. Avocado and tomato were also served in the tempura, just like in summer. The sashimi beauty of the cold vessel was also delicious, and the bowl contained corn and broad beans. Also, in Isawa, we don't get many grilled sweetfish, but I was happy that they did. What was a little disappointing was that the meat was not crispy for some reason. When you came to lay down the futon after dinner, the fireworks of Isawa Onsen started, and you could see it from the window of the room, and you could feel the summer feeling. It was a nice surprise. The breakfast was delicious, and although I usually have a full meal, I ate two. It was a summery breakfast, with sticky platters and iced coffee served after meals. The hospitality is also good, and it is an inn where you want to come to taste delicious food in different seasons.

Suitable for family travel. There is nothing to turn around. It’s just a matter of staying at the hotel. The garden design is great. Suitable for friends to rest. Stayed for a few days. The hotel is very intimate because we chose Monday. Three rooms were set. As a result, we all upgraded a large room like a parent. The second floor is beautiful! Do not choose a room with its own hot springs. Recommended to go to the big bath. Great outdoor and indoor connection. Old people can also go without wind. Very comfortable. We hope to have dinner together. Specially prepared for a private room. If you have time, I still want to stay here for a few more days!

Stayed with family in early November. I took a Japanese style room with 4 people 2 room because goto was able to use it, but it is quite above my usual budget. The room is large and comfortable and you can see Mt. Fuji from the big window. It is a hotel, but the whole building is ok with yukata. The bath is high in the open-air balcony wall and there is no view, but there is no feeling of tire of hot water, and this is comfortable again. It seems to be not a source of water, but the management is well done. Dinner was made to a course of Japanese beef steak. Is the appetizer elegant seasoning, a little salty? I thought, but I found that I had been suppressing the salt reduction in the beginning while eating in the main. Because the family is all older, it is a high evaluation that it is not tired to eat at the main point. You can choose from the menu with rich land patterns and local wine. The Japanese breakfast is also delicious for the inn. Grape juice is still delicious. The souvenir corner is carefully selected. The convenience store is about 3 minutes walk. When the weather is bad, it may be better to leave the road. It is a very good inn that matches the accommodation fee overall. I want to go to dinner next time in China.

We were staying at hotel Nizi for 2 nights for our trip to Kawaguchiko and nearby area. It's about 15-20 minutes drive to Lake Kawaguchiko which is very convenience for us. The neighborhood and surrounding areas are very beautiful with plum plantations and sakura blossoms. Each room at hotel Nizi has a parking space next to the room which was great. There are few restaurants nearby, 7-eleven and gas station. The price was really cheap compared to other hotel in Kawaguchiko. The room is quite spacious and has everything we needed i.e. microwave, minibar fridge, kettle, bowl and cutlery etc. Our room has nice view of plum tress and mountain view.

About 10 years ago, when I stayed at Toyoko Inn in front of Himeji Station, I also made a membership card with a face photograph for 1500 yen. However, I also decided to keep my luggage at the time of the stay, and since then, I decided not to use Toyoko inn. However, I had to stop at Kofu because of my work, and I stayed for 10 years this time. First of all, the check-in was set up from 16 o'clock, and despite the corona ridge, about 10 people were waiting in the lobby until 16 o'clock. On the unit bus, I was surprised at the small toilet seat in the toilet, tired of the shower curtain smelling, and at night I was not sleeping with the loud sound of the wall clock in the room and removed the battery. I instruct people in the company to take other hotels. I will not use it for a while again. APA, Richmond, Alpharwan, etc. are more comfortable. By the way, the south exit of Toyoko-in Kofu Station is used for isolation of corona infected people.

If you need to use the pick-up service, please contact the hotel after you arrive at Kawaguchiko Station. Located on the north shore of Lake Kawaguchi, Shuhoukaku Kogetsu offers views of Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi from all rooms and open-air baths, and is blessed with the beauty of the four seasons, including fresh greenery, autumn leaves, and snow-capped Mt. Fuji. It is a unique accommodation that combines Japanese aesthetics with Western elements. It is a 10-minute drive to Kawaguchiko Station, a 15-minute drive to Highland Resort Hotel, and a 2-hour drive from the Tokyo metropolitan area.

GGuest User 2023.05.26
I stayed at the Kogetsu for 2 nights in May and it was an unforgettable experience. Every detail was beautiful and thoughtful. I booked rather late and was not able to book the same room, so the first night I stayed in a Standard Western Style twin w open-air bath; and the second night in a Standard Japanese Modern w open-air bath (Triple). Both were on the 3rd (of 5) floors and both had stunning views of Mt Fuji. Both incorporated both Japanese and Western style. The first room had wood floors throughout and half-shoji screen doors so you could separate the bedroom and dining areas. It also had a small walk-in closet. The outdoor onsen was quite large (could easily fit 4 adults) and the patio was wider than in the Triple room. I posted pics of the Standard Western Style Twin and will post the pics of the Triple separately. In contrast the Triple room was larger and there was a gorgeous daybed (which becomes the 3rd bed) with windows on either side overlooking Mt Fuji. The onsen was a bit smaller (could easily fit 2 adults). The bedroom was carpeted, dining area had tatami-style mats, and hallway had wood floors. There was a wardrobe rather than walk-in closet in this room. Both rooms had a wet area for washing up before the onsen, a separate powder room, and separate toilet room. Honestly, you can’t go wrong - both rooms were gorgeous. I felt lucky to be here. One thing to note is that there is a boat launch beside the ryokan, so my open-air onsen on 3rd floor was not super private (there’s a screen to pull down if you want privacy, but it obscures the view). The 4th/5th floors would have more feeling of privacy. The kaiseki meals were beautifully displayed and delicious. The 2 nights’ menus were different but followed a similar (but not identical) format: 1) Aperitif, 2) Seasonal appetizers, 3) Soup, 4) Sashimi, 5) Main course (hot), 6) Steamed fish, 7) Grilled fish, 8) Palette cleanser, 9) simmered dish, 10) rice dish, and 11) dessert. My nakai, Fumiko-san, was lovely - friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast was also included - it was half- buffet, with an elegant bento box with appetizers and tamago. It also included delicious tempura, made to order and delivered to your table. The hotel has a happy hour from 2:30-6:30 where a limited selection of tea, coffee, nonalcoholic drinks, beer and wine are free. You can enjoy them on the gorgeous terrace overlooking Mt Fuji with your feet soaking in the footpath (just not in your room). Lastly there are shuttles every morning to Kawaguchiko Station or any of the tourist sights on the way, and the hotel will send a shuttle to pick you up when you are ready to come back. The location of this ryokan could not be better - close to some great museums and on the North shore of the lake, which has the best views (and away from the touristy South shore).

This is the second time staying in Fuji Ginkei, while the first time was in 2017. The reason I chose it when I went to Kawaguchiko the second time was the perfect location, service, and food when I stayed in 2017. First, I should thank the hotel staff. As you might know, it is tough for solo travelers to book a Ryokan room. As a search around the hotel list, which I think is perfect for the stay, Fuji Ginkei is one of a few hotels which said OK. I appreciate it. The location is perfect as you can see the lake and mountain simultaneously. For Kawaguchiko, only a few hotels have this kind of view. When you arrive at the Kawaguchiko station, don't forget to call them, and they will pick you up. However, when you live, if you want to take their shuttle bus, you need to check their shuttle bus schedule. I choose the Japanese-style room which a balcony since I want to take many photos from my room. It is worth it as the view from the room is perfect. I can stay in the room and watch Mount Fuji all afternoon. It even has an individual bathroom in the room, which is kind of rare. If you stay in the hotel in Winter, don't forget to use the outdoor onsen. It will be freezing to get in and out, but it is worth it as you will see a very clear sky and many stars when using the outdoor onsen. You will never forget it. Moreover, don't forget to go lakeside, which is only a few meters away. You can take perfect photos of the lake, Mount Fuji and the stars. It is impressive. Service is as good as before, which you can imagine. When you are having breakfast and dinner, the staff will talk with you, introducing the dish and telling you much exciting and helpful information. For once, I was discussing さかさふじ with them and really learned a lot. The dish is good. As I stayed for two nights, I think the first night's dinner was better than the second. For breakfast, I don't have too many things to say. Overall, the dish tasted good but not as impressive as in 2017, maybe because I tried some Michelin during these years, which increased my standard. Overall, it is an excellent hotel, and the price is not that high compared to other hotels around Kawaguchiko. Once again, is it worthy.

Pros: 1. The room comfortably accommodated 3 adults, although the bathroom was a bit small even for one person. 2. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was satisfactory. 3. Breakfast met our expectations. 4. The onsen experience was enjoyable overall. 5. The hotel's location is convenient, being close to Lake Kawaguchiko. 6. Free parking area is near the hotel entrance. Cons: 1. We specifically booked a room with a ”mountain view” hoping to see Mount Fuji. Our room was on level 3. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to find that our view only included the tip of the mountain, obstructed by buildings and electric cables. This was quite different from the picturesque view advertised on their website. Considering the high price of the room (SGD$800 per night for 3 persons), this was a huge disappointment. We strongly believe that the hotel should reconsider offering level 3 rooms as 'mountain view' rooms and reserve levels 4 and 5 for this category, as this feels like a misrepresentation. 2. Dinner was a huge letdown. We were served only 2 platters of meat (pork and beef) of average quality and 1 vegetable platter for Shabu Shabu. The selection was extremely limited. Although we were offered a Kaiseki Ryori (multi-course Japanese-style meal) for the next evening, there was an additional charge of over $3000+ yen per person for the upgrade. Despite the extra cost, this option seemed more appealing as we did not want to have the same Shabu Shabu two nights in a row.

GGuest UserAiming to conquer Isawa Onsen inns, this was my first time trying out an inn. This is a small pure Japanese style inn with 10 rooms in total. The room on the second floor was a clean room of about 15 tatami mats that could accommodate about 5 people. There were futons laid out as a precaution against the coronavirus, but it was spacious. Wi-Fi was also available in the room. The stairs to the second floor are quite steep. There are a large indoor bath, a small indoor bath, and an open-air bath. Since we arrived early, we were able to use the bath for private use. I went early the next morning and was lucky to be able to use it almost by myself. Dinner was supposed to be served in the room, but since we couldn't go into the room due to coronavirus precautions, it was prepared in the next room. I had read somewhere that it was a light dinner, but there were so many dishes, the table was full, and every dish was delicious. We also had a leisurely breakfast served in our room. Since meals are served in your room, I think this is a good accommodation for those who want to spend a quiet and relaxing time with peace of mind. Please note that cash payments are accepted at the venue, so if you prefer to pay by card, we recommend paying in advance.

GGuest UserI tried to challenge this inn that I had not stayed yet to win the Ishiwa Onsen Inn. It is a relatively reasonable price range inn. The lobby area is new and very clean. The room feels old and tatami is cramped, but tatami is not a problem to stay new (no Wi-Fi in the room). The futon was laid ahead with the corona countermeasure. The bath is a men and women replacement system, and only one open-air bath is available. Body soap and rinse in shampoo are placed, but there are rinse and face washing in the middle. The inner hot water that entered the next morning was a large bath (there were many washing places) and there was a hot water of the waterfall that flowed down fiercely. The hot water in the hot spring is a beautiful hot water. It was written as a source hot water in the open-air bath. It was a plan with a full meal at dinner, and it was a hot day, so I made it a raw beer. Dinner was full of stomach. I usually eaten up to the rice to pass. Breakfast is a simple Japanese meal, and there are standard items such as * baked and cherry blossoms, and this time I replaced it (no coffee). I thought it was a good inn for those who want to stay at a hot spring inn reasonable.
