Unfortunately I found a cockroach insect in my room. Far from sorry for the situation, the receptionist was rude. They gave me another room which was with the toilet not working well and making noise, I mentioned it to the receptionist and said that they will check it in the next morning. Also, the pillow had hair from previous customers so I doubt about their cleaning procedure. Money paid is not worthy. Location in city is great.

Exactly excellent service

It was a great stay, and exceptional treatment, flexible hours for checking in and a good atmosphere. Everything was clean and comfortable, there was no noise and parking was relatively easy to find.

I stayed there for 10 days and was lovely place and lovely staff. Is situated in center of Funchal and if you are planning to explore the Island this is the best place to stay. Because the accomodation was not very expensive, I paid 600€ in the middle of the summer and you can have breakfast for just 7€. The girl at reception Claudia was very nice to me and she helped to get a very good deal on rent a car just 55€ a day full insurance cover and she give me a plan to explore the Island in 4 days which helped me to save time and money. I would highly recommend residential Colombo and I hope to came back when I'll have a Thank you very much!!! All done guys.💪

We stayed at this hotel twice and have booked it again. It’s a budget-friendly place in the very centre of Funchal. It has everything we need really - the rooms are spacious, there’s always hot water in the shower, the rooms are cleaned every day. Faultless, fast WiFi (crucial if you are working remotely or travelling with a teen). Massive kudos to the amazing staff - they are very friendly and courteous. The location is perfect for sightseeing in Funchal or getting to other places in Madeira.

Very centrally located hotel with super friendly staff (24 hour reception and cleaning). Bakery with café right outside the door as well as numerous restaurants. The room was surprisingly large. Because of the street in front of the hotel I closed the window at night and then it was OK. I wouldn't book breakfast as there is not much variety. I would rather go to the bakery and eat something hearty there. I gave it 5 stars especially because of the location and considering the low price for the overnight stay.

Clean space, but calling it an apartment is far from the truth. Too much furniture for the space, no natural light, no air conditioning, lots of noise, not from the school next door. We paid a deposit to have a TV remote. Kitchen supplies were reduced to less than the minimum, there was only 1 tablespoon.

Simplicity with hygiene is possible. I found dead cockroaches, ants in the bidet, bad smell, bad access and the apartment is in a building close to the Residencial. They gave me a remote control, a key and showed me another building. There was no kindness in accompanying us to the place. The elevator has a warning that advises against using it by more than two people. I doubt it has emergency exits and other conditions required by law. An accommodation that does not dignify tourism in Madeira. A fantastic destination, with so many wonderful people.

Cheap and very basic accommodation: the double rooms are very narrow and not at all soundproofed (at night we were also disturbed by the noise inside the hotel), but the bed is comfortable and the cleanliness is sufficient. The breakfast, to be ordered separately, is not very rich but is fine. The point in favor of this hotel is, in addition to the very low price, its very central location: a few steps from the center and the sea, attached to a shopping center where you will also easily find a supermarket. If you are looking for a place to stay cheap and without too many demands on comfort, this is definitely for you.

Arriving at reception for check-in we already have the impression of disturbing them. Discovery of the room… help!! 9m2 bathroom included! Window that doesn't close, non-blackout curtain that doesn't cover the window, air conditioning broken, 10cm TV broken, no outlet in the room, rickety beds, dubious bed linen, tiny shower with curtain that doesn't go all the way down low, broken toilet flush and only socket in the room next to the sink!!! And when we report all this to reception they look surprised!! And all that without mentioning the noise...

What a disappointment reading all these latest negative customer reviews even though our tour operator had reserved 2 rooms for us (parents and teenagers)! We still tried the experiment! But since the last reviews, the hotel has moved to a new building, certainly not very modern but still very well located in the city center of Funchal, the rooms were clean and relatively large for a hotel equivalent to a 2*, even the bathrooms, compared to previous reviews. It was a good level of comfort. The weak point is rather the soundproofing of the rooms, vis-à-vis the other rooms on the one hand, and from the outside (bars and school) on the other hand, which did not prevent us from sleep. This corresponds well to 2* soundproofing!

Simply horrible... From the check in part... We arrived at 7am... And yet I paid the normal daily rate only to have to leave at 11am... This doesn't happen anywhere else... And not to mention the constant construction work in the morning... If anyone thinks to rest... Or sleep... It's completely wrong... Super unfriendly reception staff, saying that they only close at midday. daily rate... In other words... If I arrive at 11 am... I still pay the daily rate and have to leave by noon??? Bunch of thieves and thieves!!
