"The rooms were nice and spacious with nice balconies on a great location. The rooms could use a renovation and be better cleaned especially in more hidden places like under the bed. The hairdryer overheated easily. The breakfast is good and varied and the staff is the best part of the hotel, super friendly!"

"Wonderful experience and the best hotel during our stay in Madeira. Perfect price and value proposition with a staff who are really customers oriented and friendly. Smaller hotel what is never overcrowded. Nice charming design elements. Very good breakfast with selection of local cheeses and meat. Real juice would be the only needed improvement and some pastel de Nata for the breakfast would add to the mandatory Portuguese experience. Otherwise 100% perfect stay. Excellent swimming pool with sea water. Yes. The rooms are somewhat dated but super clean and comfortable. I didn't came here to see golden chandeliers so l was super satistied! Excellent location and direct sea access. What more could one look for??"

"Apartments in the center of the city, clean enough to eat all necessary, minutes and kitchen, even a washing machine. Microwave, tea, coffee. On the day of the trip, they gave a bottle of local wine. Good water pressure. "Wir waren leider nicht wirklich zufrieden. Die Lage war wunderschön! Jedoch war das Hotel viel zu groß, um sich wohlzufühlen…beim Frühstück war es extrem laut, die Mitarbeiter überfordert und das Buffet total verstreut. Innerhalb der hoteleigenen Restaurants wurde man ziemlich über den Tisch gezogen, indem sie einem immer wieder Brot und Wasser anboten, was schlussendlich auf der Rechnung stand! Des Weiteren zahlt man eine Service-Gebühr von 10% für einen Service, der nicht anders war als in einem normalen Restaurant, wo man diese nicht zahlen muss. Dafür, dass es ein 5-Sterne-Hotel ist, bietet es ziemlich wenig und ist leider nur auf Profit und nicht auf das Wohl der Gäste aus. Für den Preis nicht zu empfehlen! Schade…."

"Хорошее местоположение. Но имейте ввиду, что нет кондиционера. Для меня это было очень тяжело. Вентилятор не помогал.. я не знаю, как тут останавливаться летом в самую жару...а так: хорошо, есть кухня, холодилтник, помогли с утюгом, принесли вентилятор."

"Location was good as is just a 10 min walk to downtown. As a frequent traveler, I don't consider the hotel 5-star rated hotel. It's ok for a 4-star, but not 5. Doesn't meet a 5-star standard in several things. For example, if you are driving, parking is a little bit an hassle as you have to change from one building to another. Breakfast was good but not 5-star breakfast. Lack of warm breakfast dishes and pastries. Windows in the room not sound proof. Woke up severals times during night time as you could hear the noise from the Garbage truck. When you take a shower, leaks water towards the hand sink area. Pillows, not match a 5-star standard either. Was ok, but not great!"
