We really enjoyed our 6 night stay at Alamanda. The staff were so friendly and looked after us well. Nothing was ever a bother and they really made our trip special.
The included breakfasts were yummy with fruit, toast, cereal, yoghurt, juice, tea/coffee and the choice of cooked options prepared for you (eggs, pancakes, omelettes etc.). I'm gluten-free and had no problems with food options. The 3 course dinners were great and so cheap!! The cooks made great cheese toasties and fries whenever our teenagers were craving 'western' snacks also. Grab also deliver to Alamanda if you're wanting something delivered to eat.
We did tours with Alamanda and their guides were knowledgeable and the vans were modern and clean. We had booked some tours booked with other companies before we left home but we won't next time. Alamanda tours were much less expensive (much!), more flexible with days (avoiding bad weather) and really great!
Our teenagers loved the pool and the electric scooters. The countryside around the villas is great to see. The location is a little away from the bustling inner city but Alamanda has drivers to take you there any time (a 10 minute drive and very cheap). You could also order a grab. It was always nice to get back to Alamanda and away from the noise and car fumes in the city.
The included stocked drink fridge (soft drinks) and daily laundry service was very generous and appreciated.

Great small-scale location. Frans and his team know what hospitality is. Nothing is too much for them to give you a great time. It was our t****th time and despite it being the end of Ramadan and many things being closed, they still managed to come up with a nice program for and with us.

For us the 7th time ALAMANDA villas. 8 weeks enjoyed versatile Yogyakarta where we are not yet tired of seeing it...... 8 weeks enjoyed the many tours, put together by our walking encyclopedia FRANS and his enthusiastic drivers. Nice location outside the city. But you are taken from there to where you want. Beautiful wooden accommodations. Very experienced staff to whom you can ask anything. Dutch owner. Had a wonderful stay at Alamanda Villas. Wonderfully quiet location with excellent staff and fantastic care. Here everything is possible and nothing is required! Everything can be arranged in consultation and there are cars available with driver/guide to explore the area. We were picked up from Bali, before we arrived in Alamanda, we traveled through East Java with a guide/driver, working at Alamanda Villas. Everything was perfectly arranged! Then we stayed in Yogya for a month and also saw and did a lot there. A place for an excellent stay with very good care, sweet and caring staff, managed by a friendly, helpful French, who knows a lot about Indonesia and can tell you all about it in a fascinating way! An absolute must to stay here if you like coziness and want to get to know Indonesia.

We would recommend this place, just outside Yogyakarta, to anyone, but especially to families with children. Franz and his entire staff will surprise you with their kindness, the easy way in which they will accommodate your every wish and guide you in choosing activities. If you book on their website you will have the option of transfers, laundry and first dinner for free. In the room there is a bottle with always fresh water, tea and coffee set. The villas are spacious, clean, with a pleasant view of rice fields and Mount Merapi. In the bathroom there is everything you need, including an excellent hairdryer! No mosquitoes :-) swimming pool with freezing water. We always had dinner at Rosella, excellent cuisine. Breakfast is enchanting, especially when served at dawn. Excellent organization of the tours, thanks again to our special driver Tono. Amazing value for money for everything. Terima kashi!

This was our second visit to Alamanda Family Villas & Pool and again we enjoyed our stay very much. The team arranged also our train tickets from Jakarta to Bandung and from Bandung to Yogjakarta. The staff is outstanding and extremely helpfull and friendly. Also via Alamanda team a taxi was arranged for our further trip to Malang / Broma / Kalibaru and ferry crossing to Bali. Furthermore they can arrange all kind of excursions !
