Find the Best Romantic Hotels George Town

It was a fantastic stay for my family. Very spacious and 10 - 15 mins drive to George Town main attractions. There is a playground opposite to the hotel. Only 8 mins walk to coco Island food market which is very clean.

Excellent quiet location with a private waterfront. The outdoor infinity swimming pool is partially shaded and overlooks the strait of Malacca. The hotel has a classy heritage vibe with distinguished visitors such as Charle Chaplain and King Charles. The breakfast buffet is the best in town with made to order noodle soup and stir fried noodles. There is also a hot food station, omelette station, roti station, fresh fruits and bread

A stylish and classy hotel, strategically located near Little India, art area, food museum, all are a few minutes away. The jetty is about a 15 minute walk. However as a solo female traveller, all the adjacent streets are dark and quiet so didn’t feel comfortable walking around after 21:00. Room was cosy and nicely designed, bed was comfortable, and the free mini bar and sweets left in the jar daily was a lovely touch. Breakfast was ok, but the in-room food service was excellent and meals were fantastic. The room also has a water filter, saves buying bottled water. All staff were pleasant and helpful. The views from the rooftop pool are great, albeit the pool is on the smaller size. Enjoyed my three nights and would recommend the hotel.

The room that specially designed. Also is my first hotel that provides ceiling fans on top of air conditioner, allowing customer to switch based on their preferences. Strategic location, stone throw distancr to penang chendul. Staffs are friendly. Highly recommended

The stay here really was a good surprise for my last trip. Choose the hotel because it is near to my dinner appointment, the room is very big and clean . Staffs are super friendly and most importantly, it is located in the Center of everything in Georgetown. Highly recommended!

We were really contented with our room in Hotel Penaga, which is a suite located on level 2 in the other wing. Not so suitable for those with big luggage as you have to climb up the stairs. The room next to us is like a loft and has two levels. The decoration of the room feels very antique and Peranakan, we liked the funky poster and the wood ornaments, even the cupboard had some nice painting. The bathroom also had a bathtub but the hot water took a long time to fill up. Breakfast buffet was nothing much to rave about, you are better off trying out some cafe or local hawker food, as Penang is a food haven! In terms of location, Penaga is situated in the old town and quite easy to walk around, included to the famous cendul place, Komtar building Penang and mural areas (around 15 min walk). The area is quiet at night, but the bars and nightlife area is within walking distance. Overall we stayed for 3 nights here and enjoyed the whole experience.

The hotel opened in the former residence, the various hardware furnishings have a sense of age and history, supplemented by modern applications, it should be said that it is worth visiting and experiencing. The main problem is the service. There are so many things to complain about that I don’t even bother to mention. Some of the waiters are good, but most of them are arrogant and just ask and answer without asking or telling. For example, breakfast is a la carte and buffet, but the result tells you that you can only order one order per person, okay, hehe. . You can stay but never for more than one night. Another note: The singing from the food stall next door continues until midnight, and you can enjoy it for free. In addition, I would like to add another piece of information: Ctrip showed that this hotel would charge MYR 13 on-site, but it actually only charged MYR 3. On the contrary, another nearby Dongjia Hotel showed that Ctrip would charge MYR 3 on-site, but actually charged MYR 13.

A very distinctive hotel, unique in both decoration and decorations. The hotel is clean and tidy, with complete toiletries. It has everything you need for eating, drinking and playing, and it is very convenient to travel, close to the attractions. Love Lane, George Town Art Street and other attractions are all around, and the food stalls are also within easy reach. The famous Red Garden Food Court is about an 8-minute walk away. The hotel staff is considerate and enthusiastic, and they answer all questions. The flight is at 8:00 in the morning ✈️, thank the hotel staff for preparing a simple breakfast 🙏

A very enjoyable experience with some of the best decor of any boutique hotel, not just in Asia. The staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and make us feel special. The hotel lacks decent gym facilities and the pool needs a mid-height front privacy wall to separate it from the street, but otherwise, it is fabulous. The food is good to very good and the international wine list is broad and well balanced in price and variety. And, the first drink on the house each evening helps settle you in for the evening after a hard day's trekking around Georgetown. Much to be liked. Recommended vs any cookie-cutter hotel for the same price.

Awesome experience from pre-arrival communications, arrival welcome and throughout the stay! This historical building is situated opposite Red Garden Food Paradise and near Cheong Fatt Tze, it is walking distance to most spots for new and seasoned Penang visitors. Albert the Manager and all the staff are ways friendly, attentive, accommodating and full of advice on where to explore and enjoy the Penang they love deeply. Any issues highlighted are quickly attended to. The rooms are on the first (Malaysia ground) and second floors. There are no lifts and no ramp anywhere. The steps to second floor retain the original design which is pretty steep and requires care when walking. Please request for the rooms in the lower floor of this is an issue. The room is spacious and basic amenities are in place. The bed and pillows are very comfortable! No tea making facilities in the room; there is a provided water jar and cups. Water can be refilled at the 24-hour ”The Lounge”, which I used a lot throughout the stay. Do note the ensuite bathroom area has a thick curtain as its door. So rooms might be more suitable for solo or couple travellers. The Lounge is open 24 hours and has coffee machine, soft drinks, fruit juices and local titbits. Breakfast, provided at The Lounge, is a continental set and sometimes a local breakfast item like Nasi Lemak will be available as well. The daily 6 to 7 pm complimentary cheese and wine hour is thoroughly enjoyable. A thoroughly enjoyable stay that I cna highly recommend!
