We walked up from Queen Street Station in less than 10 minutes and were met by Dave the Concierge who lifted our bag in to reception. Chelsea on reception was very kind with a great upgrade due to status and that set us up for a marvellous return trip to the Kimpton Blythswood. The old Scottish Automobile Club building is lovely and the sunny views out onto the gardens in front were very welcome, though the windows in the Salon could be doing with a wash...... Our room was superb, very clean with shower and tub. And some Tunnocks wafers to go with our cuppa. Nice touch. During the social hour we were served by Dave who brought our wine up to the Salon - the old 80m long drawing room on the 1st floor. I had hoped the Salon Bar would have been opened after our last stay, but staffing seems to be the issue. Breakfast in the morning was very good with attentive and engaging staff. We left as we arrived with Dave opening the door and taking us to street level, with his usual chat and charm. We felt special. Thanks.

Not great. Room was more than tired - it was exhausted! Grubby carpet, curtain, walls… Cystern had a leak which led to a puddle in the bathroom. I notice the exterior is undergoing a facelift. Maybe they should concentrate on the interior first. I e stayed in better budget hotels if I’m honest. Positives - towels and linen were immaculate and breakfast not too bad. Staff friendly and polite.

All in all was a comfortable stay, a plus on the breakfast staff so friendly and hospitable. Breakfast was very good, hearty and warm. Only surprise was I had to pay again at the front desk even though I already did online upon booking. Yet to be resolved by Trip.com customer service side. I hope it will be soon and I can my refund.

This is the second time I have stayed here for the half marathon in Glasgow. I choose it due to location for the start and finish but also as an IHG hotel where I hold Silver Elite Status. I wasn't recognised as a member at check in which is no big deal it is just other properties I have stayed at recognise your status. However, the checkin was prompt and efficient. Despite being early and asking for a high floor room the member of staff did his best to accommodate my request. The room was very quiet, old but well maintained. There are not that many plug sockets if you need to charge devices but the room was comfortable and the inclusion of a kettle and coffee is a small thing but very much valued. The breakfast was extensive and good quality although the time you choose to go it could be very busy but this is inevitable. Staff are great and replenish stock and clear tables quickly. The hotel has a bar with competitive prices. I would recommend this hotel it you are in Glasgow as only a 15 minute walk to Grorge Square area and the airport bus and numerous decent restaurants.

Although it is an old hotel, but the decoration is not long, the room is large, spacious and clean, the bathroom is also very large, and with the kitchen, there are dishes, wine glasses, etc., there is an induction cooker (that is, no pot), with a range hood, microwave oven. Thank you to the staff, as a solo traveller I was quite nervous but I felt so safe. Check in was smooth and friendly. The hotel is clean, stylish and smart. You need your room key to use the lifts so I felt so safe going to my room. I stayed in a double room and it was so spacious! Everything was tidy and well placed. Even though there was a fun fair on the next street it didn’t really bother me when I shut the window. It was my first time staying in an apart-hotel and I would definitely recommend! I didn’t know that having ice in the freezer and cutlery would make me so happy haha. I could chill my water and have a lovely meal in my room without having to fork out for a more expensive takeaway. I used the Tesco express down the street to get myself fresh food. The bathroom had a lovely heated towel Rail too so I had the warmest, fluffiest towel! Down in the lobby they have a Brita water filter, board games, extra kitchen equipment and food and drink. Will certainly return if I ever visit Glasgow again!

The hotel is in a very good location, with a front view of the river and just a stone's throw away from the downtown commercial pedestrian street. The breakfast was rich and the environment was very comfortable. I sat there for more than an hour without realizing it. We drove here by car. Although the hotel does not have its own parking lot, there is a Q-Park behind it, which is very convenient. I asked the hotel for a discount code and I can get a 40% discount. Thank you to the Asian lady who patiently taught me how to reserve a parking space. I forgot I'm sorry for asking for your name.

Overall our stay was great. The staff were very friendly. The room was small but desgined really well and very comofrtable. The hotel had a great atmosphere to it, with lots of young guests and things to do in the reception area. The wifi was hit and miss - trying to make a zoom call in the reception area was nearly impossible even at 7am.

Having stayed here a few times before due to its location and reasonable price, I was left disappointed this time. I had booked this hotel because for some reason every hotel in Glasgow that weekend was unusually expensive. Hotels I would have expected to pay ＞£100 were £150/180. The jury’s was £111. A warm welcome from reception staff and the main lobby is modern and clean. The room we were allocated (618) was a bit dated. It was spacious because it was an accessible room, not at our request so maybe why it was cheaper than others. The above two points didn’t really bother us because it was just somewhere to sleep as we were attending a gig. Unfortunately we did not sleep very well. The windows didn’t do enough to soundproof the outside street noise, the walls were paper thin and you could hear the neighbours talking, plugging and unplugging electrical items- all minor quiet stuff which you shouldn’t really be able to here. Our room had a buzzing noise coming from the vent in the room which kept us awake til 7.30am… and then the neighbours started getting ready to check out. We never complained during the night because we were so tired after being out all night and the noise was intermittent so just when you thought you were back to sleep, it started again. The room was clean but as I said dated, and for this reason I don’t think I’d chose to stay here again.
