Baymont by Wyndham Gold River

Great location - and love their breakfast room and food selection.. We have used this motel for the last 10 years. The parking area is set up for trucks with boat trailers; easy access. We would recommend reservations, since it is so popular.

Realize where you are - in Gold River, remote country. Gold River Chalet offers travelers a comfortable, affordable, clean and welcoming place to stay. While the hotel is old, it is quite. Their breakfast common area is clean, well stocked and provides 24/7 coffee.

We were in Gold River to take an Uchuck III cruise and didn’t fancy the drive over from Campbell River on the same, so stayed at the Chalet for two nights. I have to say we were pleasantly surprised to find a clean, quiet and cool hotel. Great staff and reasonable prices. Highly recommended if your travels take you to Gold River.

Rooms were adequate and beds comfortable but the front desk was great. Handled our group of 14 with no issues and was very helpful to all. Know she helped a lady with car issues. For me I was on first trip into wilderness with an electric car. No level 2 chargers compatible with my car so only option was standard electric plug. But no plugs within 10 feet that my cable adapter could reach. I had brought extra for emergency, but still too far. Within minutes she had found a 30 foot extension and I plugged in over night to gain a paltry, but sufficient, 20 or so kilometres. Thank you!
