We arrived here after we left Lesotho and this accomodation made as felt we went back in time with today's luxury! It was beautiful and we didn’t want to leave. The room was like a dream with a dreamy bed and very nice bathroom. We enjoyed every minute we spend here

The Drostdy was a wonderful experience as wedding guest. The place is nice and tidy and the staff is warm and welcoming. I would recommend staying at the Drostdy if you are visiting Graaff-Reinet

Spent two nights at the Drostdy Hotel in the historical small town of Graaff-Reinet in South Africa. The hotel is a really lovely South African experience which has retained its original architecture with modern, stylish African soft-furnishings, situated in a perfect location to explore the town and surrounding areas.

This hotel is truly beautiful with fantastic staff and service. The food at the restaurant was well prepared and cooked to perfection and left my wife and I wanting to come back the next night. The only let down was the laundry service was almost a 3rd of the cost of our room for the night for a small bag and the quality of the laundry was average.

We visited here as part of a large group. Accommodation was very high grade, comfortable. The room's electricity works when the key card is inserted which means that the fridge appears not to work when you're not in the room. Breakfast buffet was excellent, but you have to order any hot dishes and hot beverages. We had to ask a couple of times for someone to come and take our order and the hot beverages needed chasing up. On the first day, the supervisor looked as if it was beneath her to take our order. Sadly on day 2, the much-anticipated eggs benedict with salmon couldn't be had as the kitchen had run out of salmon. Dinner was pre-ordered; better service here although we couldn't recommend the fish which was bland. Bear in mind that the Drostdy is also a site for hotel students to do practical training, so this may account for some blips in service.

Wonderful product and we really enjoyed our stay! Was,however, obvious that many of the staff are trainees (highly admirable) but tends to impact service if not managed. Would definitely recommend this iconic Hotel.

Very pretty and relaxing. The hotel staff were amazing and so very helpful. We were taken on a little tour to show us around and it was very interesting.
