Even for a budget motel, this Motel 6 is absolutely trash. 3 words best describe this place: ghetto, unclean, and stinking. Upon arrival, I noticed a lot of unsavory-looking people hanging out in the parking lot and around the doors of various rooms. It had a feeling for more like a low income apartment complex than a motel and it seemed like people were living there because they had nowhere else to live. I specifically booked a non-smoking room which was clearly stated on the reservation that I printed out from the Motel 6 website, but as soon as I stepped into my room (room 113) my nostrils were immediately hit with the stench of stale, set-in cigarette smoke. If you've ever been into a smoker's house or car where they smoke inside, then you know what I mean. The room was very small and cramped. The bed was made up but as soon as I looked at the linen I saw brownish-black flakes of....something on top of the blanket. I have no idea what it was and did not touch or smell it to find out but I took pictures to show the front desk staff and I posted them here on TripAdvisor. Went back to the front desk within 10 minutes of checking in, said I was checking out, and asked for my money to be refunded on the spot, which the desk attendant (I believe his name is Vincent) did apparently refund me immediately, he gave me a print out receipt indicating that my money had been refunded to my bank account, however the refund has yet to post now 12 hours later but that maybe just a normal processing delay. I ended up staying at a nice Extended Stay America hotel just down the road from this dumpster of a motel and I had a nice room there that was almost like a mini suite. Avoid this Motel 6 like the Plague, it is total s**t.
