Homeinn Plus Hotels in Guilin

Amazing hotel, I guess it has been renovated recently . The room is magnetic, and the staff can speak English quite well . Swimming pool, jacuzzis (3 of them), sauna and steam room, excellent gym with table tennis 🏓 equipments makes this property and excellent place to stay. Breakfast was excellent as I am a huge fan of Chinese food, not much of western food, but there are kids station, bread, coffee (good one) , sausage and bacon, and several other options of pastries such as croissants and danish. Thanks XiaoWu小伍 for the amazing service guiding us around the rooftop, taking pictures of us, and giving assistance providing all the important information on how to enjoy the hotel facilities . the only bad thing is the costumers , a huge amount of them smoke everywhere although there are signs saying the whole property is forbidden to smoke. The hotel should remove the ashtrays in front of the elevators . Unfortunately it is a problem in China when you go to hotels and makes very unpleasant the shared ventilation bringing smoking smell into other people’s room.

We spent 2 nights at Sheraton hotel in Guilin. The hotel is located very centrally in walking distance to most major tourist attractions and close to Guilin railway station. The staff was very attentive and absolutely accomodating for all of our wishes making our experience very memorable. The interior design of the hotel is well thought out and gives it a simple but elegant touch. The facilities include small swimming pool which we couldn't try due to the weather situation. The gym consisted of a handful of cardio treadmills and machines for resistance training from Life Fitness with an area in the corner with dumbells and foam rollers, yoga mats. The changing room came with a sauna. We can recommend the breakfast buffet which is a mix of Western breakfast and local specialties from Guilin. Out of the available package options we really enjoyed the photo shoot where they provide makeup and clothes(classy/elegant and Guilin traditional) to capture the amazing moments from the trip.

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff that speaks English. Lovely breakfast with Western and Chinese buffet options as well as freshly made Guilin noodle soup. The restaurant has a beautiful view on Elephant Trunk Hill.

We are a family of 5 traveling from overseas . We absolutely enjoyed the stays at the hotel . The service was amazing and the food quality is great particularly in the city that is hard to find high quality food . I was working in the lobby at one of the late nights and i ordered congee from outside the hotel , and the hotel staff got me some Chinese nibbles from their kitchen that went great with my congee takeout. Great service that is completely out of my expectation. Thank you ! They also have a branch in yang shuo in the middle of the landscape with great bolognese that my three kids enjoyed a lot. Also, the choices of art pieces and furniture , outfit all went well with the hotel visual style, and it’s a quality stay with great care, good choice of design and arts and heritage, and good choice of food. Thank you Thank you for the souvenirs before we left that were also thoughtfully prepared to extend the pleasure.

A pleasant stay overall - The staffs are friendly and helpful. You can even notice that they are very attentive to their guest. It is great that this hotel does not allow smoking inside their facility (allowed outdoors only). Their gym is embarrassing but other than that, everything else seems nice. One thing that I am very disappointed about is that the photos of the Cozy Room (King Bed) has a river view. However, we did not have that. We had a full view of the buildings and streets instead.

This hotel was in the heart of the most famous area in Guilin across from Guilin Central Square. There are many restaurants and a thriving Night Market with food street vendors. We were in Hongkong last week and went to the Temple Street Market. This area is superior in every aspect. Better food and better souvenirs and a more vibrant atmosphere. It was also walking distance from Solitary Beauty Peak which we stumbled upon. It is a 5A cultural attraction with artifacts and history going back to the Ming Dynasty.

My first impression of Shangri La Guilin is that many staff speak English proficiently or at least the basics that are required for their job. I arrived an hour and a half before the check in time but they promptly checked me into my room without any long wait. My luggage was taken to my room by a bell boy whose English was even better than the front of the house. My initial thoughts of the room was that it was quite old fashioned and the interior design & amenities were dated in comparison to most 5 star hotels. The view however was exceptional. I could clearly see the garden, river and mountains. After my first night I was woken by some loud music. Though the staff tried to tell the dancers that playing the music was disruptive to their guests, they continued to play it which further frustrated me. I informed the guest manager Edward who was very helpful in rectifying this. He upgraded me into a much nicer room that he ensured me should be quieter. They also gave me complimentary fruits in the room which added to the nice gesture. This is exactly the kind of quality of service that earns them a 5 star rating. Carl at the front desk was also very competent and was very helpful when I had to pay for something through wechat. The room I came with was a package deal that included breakfast, spa voucher, photoshoot and club privileges. It was worth the extra cost as the all inclusive club buffet during happy hour was filling and tasty (photo attached). Breakfast was a Chinese buffet with a fusion of western basics such as cereal, toast and bakery items. If you have the time, I would highly recommend seeing Kelly (English name) for a ”signature Asian” massage at the spa. She applied the perfect pressure for me and was very kind. The photoshoot was organised through wechat and included 6 photos. The photographer was lovely and the final photos made special memories of my time in China. Suggestions for improvement: several items in the room are in need of repair or replacement eg. old hair dryer that lightly blows air (useless), flickering lights when you turn it on and the phones. I also think if they were to refurbish the pools outside then the place would appear less worn down. Overall, the service and reputation is what made this stay worth it. I look forward to staying at Shangri La again

**5-Star Review** We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel in Guilin! From the moment we arrived, the staffs (秀秀，小燕子，坤坤 have went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, always willing to lend a hand. We were particularly impressed by their extra efforts to assist us during our stay. For example, they kindly carried our luggage to our room and even helped us transport it to our next hotel when we took the bus to the jetty. The hotel's location is also unbeatable - it's just a short walk to the popular DongXi street (东西街）, making it easy to explore the city. The breakfast buffet is delicious, and we loved the daily afternoon tea service. The room itself is huge and spotlessly clean, with lovely bathroom amenities that made us feel pampered. We also appreciated the convenience of having a washing machine and dryer available for us to use at any time. But what really this hotel apart is the staff's exceptional service. They went out of their way to arrange a private driver for us and recommended excellent local restaurants. We felt truly taken care of throughout our stay. Overall, we highly recommended this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Guilin. The staff, location, and amenities all come together to make this hotel a standout choice.
