Gulmarg Hotels with Wi-Fi

Nice place with beautiful view and just walking distance to gondola ride. The room is clean and quite cozy. The dining crew is friendly and very helpful. The only bad thing is the ***agement. We had booked for 2 nights stay. On the 2nd day, when we returned to the hotel after the gondola ride, we were asked to check out@move out. Reason they gave, they had redundent booking due to miss communication with our agent. Is that how the run business? We refused to move out since we had made the payment and we thought the issue was settle after they discussed with our agent but the staff kept on coming to oir rooms saying rooms service but at night they kept asking my son to move out saying that my son is young and Muslims can tolerate and they need 1 more room for their new guest which are from India. They dont even offer any option to us or pay us back. After argued and warned the staff then only they stop. On the day we check out, the ***ager was there but had never take the chance to apologize on what happen. Nice place, nice view but bad ***agement. Will not come again at the hotel

Warning: Stay away from this hotel! The value for money is worthless. Our stay was extremely bad, and safety is a major concern with loose electric wires in the showers—posing a serious hazard, even a potential threat to life. No water both in the morning and later in the day after skiing, making basic hygiene impossible. The central heating does not work in the rooms (even if you are told it works, do not be fooled). The dining room lacks cleanliness, and the overall state of the hotel is disgusting. Questionable hygiene practices, such as cleaning used glasses with a dry towel for reuse, raise serious doubts about food safety standards. The room itself was far from clean, no cover over the blankets, imagine how filthy this is. Addressing these issues with the staff and manager only resulted in worsening the experience due to their arrogance. 8 peoples with complaints were waiting in the lobby for the manager who was hiding in his own room according to the other staff that lacks any responsibility to answer questions of these guests. A regrettable and unsafe stay overall in Gulmarg.

I couldn’t resist myself in posting feedback as i am extremely satisfied with the staffs behaviour and frenetic room service. Just for your knowledge i would like to share that, i went to gondola phase 2 and while going up i had breathing issues but anyhow i managed to enjoy there and came back to room. But from that time i had chest pain on left side and it’s was unbearable. Around 8. 30 pm, the same day i asked the reception manager iliyas, who responded immediately and supported a lot and helped to call the doctor with team to my room and immediately e cg was done followed by tropin test etc. Really the hotel staff supported a lot and even they didn’t accept tips after several requests. Overall i really appreciate the staffs of shaw inn and specially f&b staffs named zahoor and gulzar who took a lot of care for our fooding requirements. We had a pleasant stay and felt like staying with own family.
