Even though everything is new, it felt better than expected! The main thing is that we didn't have any bad meals during our three days in the scenic area – the food was good, and the prices weren't high, which was a pleasant surprise! The tidal bore show in front of the visitor center plays for 10 minutes every hour on the hour, and it's free to watch. Before we checked in, the hotel added me on WeChat and provided check-in instructions, navigation, and parking information. Since I didn't want to get stuck in traffic during the holiday, I took the subway and then the Hanghai Intercity line. After getting off at Yanguan station, I didn't want to wait for the shuttle bus, so I took a taxi. It took about an hour and a half from the city center to the scenic area, and the journey was quite smooth. A big thank you to the front desk staff, Xiao Meng and Xiao Xiu, for all the information they provided during our stay. Both the daytime and nighttime views are great, with plenty of places to explore and eat – though it does make your legs tired. The shuttle bus is free for hotel guests, but it takes a roundabout route. Unless you're going to watch the tide at the Tidal Bore Park, it's not really necessary for non-guests. Tidal Bore Park requires a separate ticket; you'll regret it if you don't see the bore, and you might regret it if you do – it's mainly about experiencing it since you're already here. Be sure to protect yourself from heatstroke and sunburn when watching the tide! All the activities are music-related, with循环 performances. You can check the schedule via the WeChat mini-program. The scenic area map is a bit abstract, though; the locations of the shows are basically impossible to find directly on the map. You either have to ask someone or try to figure out the connections to find them. Don't rely on the routes shown on the map; just use it for general direction. If you want to go somewhere, walk in the general direction, and you can cut through small paths and buildings – as long as there's a path, you can go. Walking in and out of the Xuande Gate Hotel, the small side gate is the most convenient. Currently, only the indoor pool is open. I also took a stroll to the Main Singer Hotel on the other end; it has a different style, so it might be nice to try staying there for a day.

The room can see the Qiantang River, the view is beautiful! The sanitary environment is quite good 👍 and the facilities are very new. I would like to especially praise the service sisters on duty. They are warm and considerate, and their service is patient and attentive. They answer all questions and respond to every request. They also provide an additional travel guide. I like it very much. I recommend Hakka to stay here👍👍👍

Stayed during the holiday period. Arrived at 1:30 PM, and my original room wasn't ready. They kindly upgraded me for free to a family room on the 7th floor, which had a great view and was very spacious. The hotel's 3rd-floor terrace offers a view of the tidal bore, but unfortunately, the tide wasn't very strong during my stay – almost non-existent – so I ended up exploring the nearby Yan Guan Chaole City instead. There aren't many takeout options around the hotel; most are delivered by the merchants themselves. The hotel had a very high occupancy rate, and the breakfast area was extremely crowded, which wasn't a great experience.

This truly is the top hotel among the four in the scenic area, the largest and most magnificent! Upon entering the room, I found the layout a bit strange. You open the door directly into the bedroom with two large beds, and then you walk further in to find the living room. The living room doesn't have an air conditioning vent, so if we're sleeping and close the partition door, anyone in the living room would get very stuffy. So, the layout design isn't very reasonable. A key point is that while there are many suites, most of them have bunk beds. For family trips, people don't just bring children, they might also bring elderly family members, so bunk beds aren't very convenient. The bathroom, on the other hand, is quite spacious and has a double vanity, which is very convenient. The hotel breakfast was quite generous, and the dining area was very large. Since the weather was hot, we stayed in the hotel and enjoyed concerts throughout the day. We could hear at least two to three different concerts a day, never repeating. This place is definitely perfect for those who want to relax and do nothing on vacation. The shuttle bus stop is right in front of the hotel, and there are plenty of buses, so no waiting is needed. Getting in and out is very convenient. The staff were also very warm and attentive, always ready to answer any questions.

During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, we took the kids to Yanguan to see the Qiantang River tidal bore. We chose this Haishi Hotel based on reviews, and it was a wonderful surprise! The hotel rooms were spacious, with balconies, exquisitely decorated, and the service was excellent! Located right at the entrance of the ancient city scenic area, hotel guests can enter and exit the area multiple times using facial recognition, or take a shuttle bus – very convenient! There's a restaurant called Guchengmen Restaurant downstairs; the reviews suggested the food was good, but it was too crowded, so we ate out instead. We'll try it again next time!

This is the most cost-effective homestay we have ever stayed in. The largest guest room is a three-bedroom and two-bathroom family suite. It is as warm and comfortable as home. The bedding is clean and tidy. The family lives in a super comfortable place! There is also a projector to watch movies, great value! As I generally love beauty and love life, of course, 100% recommend it to my relatives and friends. In the future, I will bring my girlfriends to the team and bring my baby to watch the tide and live in his house!

Our whole family came to Haining to see the tidal bore at Chaole Ancient Town, and staying at the hotel inside the scenic area was super convenient with excellent service! The scenic area is huge, developed by the same company behind Wuzhen, Yao Lake, and Puyuan, so it retains the original ancient architecture and historical sites. You can easily spend 1-2 days eating, staying, and playing all within the area. With summer approaching, here's an ideal itinerary: arrive at the hotel in the afternoon to rest, then stroll through the ancient town in the evening. The next day, after a delicious hotel breakfast, head to the Tidal Bore Park to wait for the spectacular tide (the best time is the eighteenth day of the eighth ***** month). In the afternoon, those with kids can visit the water park or continue exploring the ancient town before leaving in the evening (if you're staying at the hotel, you can enjoy the ancient town until around 4 PM).

We took our kids on a tidal bore viewing activity for our transition from third to fourth grade. We checked the reviews for this hotel and found they were quite good, so we booked it. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to the Shuishi Hotel. The room had a bathtub, which the kids loved. The hotel has a VIP access point to the scenic area, making it very convenient to get in and out. Both the hotel and the scenic area exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend it.

This hotel is not good value for money. Although it is a hotel under the Kaiyuan brand, the quality and service do not meet the 4-star standard. The front desk upgraded me to a deluxe room, but the plastic seal on the bathroom door was still peeling off. The hotel breakfast was good, but unfortunately there was no fruit. Overall, I felt that the hotel service was not professional and enthusiastic enough, and it did not have the same luxurious feel as B&B.

The B&B is right on the old street. It is very convenient to get to the B&B from the parking lot, and it is only a few steps away from the scenic spots. The interior decoration of the B&B is very stylish, the calligraphy and painting decorations are very charming, and the whole street has a refreshing and noble feeling that is not stained by the mud. The boss also has a lot of knowledge. He can give a eloquent introduction to the history of Yanguan Ancient Town and tide watching strategies. The fourth-grade students he received are also familiar with it. The service tips are also very attentive and helpful. We checked in from October 3rd to 5th. The old street in front of the hotel is the only night market area with old buildings. When we stepped out, we felt like we were transported back to the temple market in the 1990s. The atmosphere of fireworks in the street market is rich, but not flattering. Let’s talk about the travel experience of Eleven Scenic Areas! In addition to being expensive, tide watching parks are expensive. Not to mention the crowds, the tide after the 3rd is generally not considered a big tide. Fortunately, I didn't go to the Tide Park to watch the tide. The viewing platform charges an additional 80 yuan per person. The first wave of tide is just one wave, and it takes about three minutes to complete. I went to Liangjiadun in advance to watch the tidal wave. It was not too big and there were many people, but it was better than the Tide Watching Park, and it was free. As for the first line of tide in Yanguan, we did not pull down the tide. We could also see the tide at Xiaoputuo Temple when we met unexpectedly. It is really not recommended to check in during the Tide Watching Festival. Road closures everywhere and tolls are just for watching the crowds. Let’s talk about the century-old city. Apart from the Confucius Temple, not much is left of the Tanah Lot Temple. The value of the tour is only the white marble door plate outside the door. Only one ten thousandth of the courtyard building inside has been preserved. The furnishings are just like a temple. There is no trace of the life of a wealthy family. Other ancient city walls are under construction, and we don’t know when they will be completed. In order to watch the tide, you can check in in other months. As for looking for historical monuments, we have to wait and see how quickly the Yanguan government can repair them. Anyway, today’s Yanguan travel experience is not very advanced in terms of software and hardware.
