Facilities: Except for the slightly better position of the hangers, there is nothing as usual. Hygiene: The hole on the top of the shower room is dirty. The sink can't be plugged in, but the rest is OK. Environment: There is nothing in the first row downstairs. There is an East opposite that is super expensive. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to get to the river. This is OK. Service: Breakfast is the usual cold meal, quite simple. The service is indifferent.

For a short stay of up to 3 nights it is perfectly adequate, for a longer stay I would book a different hotel. Not many options for storing or hanging things. The shower is like a portable toilet, the shower head cannot be adjusted, you have to hold it yourself to be able to shower normally. Otherwise everything was good, friendly staff, good location, it was not noisy on the street at night.

The condition of the rooms is not good. You can clearly see the wear and tear on the surfaces.

Less than 2min from tube station St Pauli and two blocks away from the world famous Reeperbahn, this Ibis Budget is great for all kinds of guests: those on business and who need only a bed and breakfast the next day, those who'll spend the day wandering around the city, among others. The standard is the very same all over the world, so no complaints abou the size of the room and not having this and that are accepted or fair. Being Hamburg a tourist magnet, the price is far too high for a standard IB, especially in the summer, when it can cost as much as a Mercure or even a Pullman elsewhere. Breakfast is basic but you find something to start the day with. The staff could perhaps be friendlier, tough the blond lady heading the reception is sweet for all of them.

It is a budget hotel, so the rooms are very "dormitory" like. However they are clean, the floor I was on was quiet. Hotel is well located a couple hundred meters from the underground station at St. Pauli. Good and easy parking, pretty inexpensive if staying in the hotel. Did not eat the breakfast so no comment there.

This hotel is in a great location but the hotel itself is pretty average. The rooms are small and the shower is tiny with a door that doesn't offer much privacy. It was perfect for just being there two nights. The air conditioning didn't work well at all and we were really hot most of the night. Just a really average stay

Two positive points as far as I'm concerned. The rest is just very very BOF! First of all, the location is just perfect and the hospitality is friendly. The rest is very sketchy. We had a room for 3 people. Privacy level: none. The shower is a cubicle in the room itself, impossible to get dressed out of sight. There is a sink near the bed, so no bathroom. No place to put your stuff, very little space. And they say there is air conditioning but we were overheated at night. I can't imagine if it's 30 degrees outside. You cannot open the window, only by swinging it. The neighbors across the street see you and long live and vice versa. We still paid €254 for 2 nights of 3 in the same room….

A really great hotel in a super central location in St. Pauli and yet very quiet. The rooms are very functionally furnished and offer everything you need in a small space. The price-performance ratio is excellent. The attached parking garage has a very good "hotel rate"

The hotel is located in a quiet area a few meters from the metro station. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very small room especially if there are 3 of you staying. Separate sink, toilet and shower. They don't provide enough towels and there was no hairdryer. No wardrobe, there are hangers to replace. There is air conditioning. Working wifi. Breakfast not included in the price and of excellent quality. Average cleanliness.

I had booked a single room for a friend and me for two days. On the first evening, the door suddenly opened and strangers were standing in my room. Luckily, I was there. Their card worked, mine didn't. The people then went back down to reception. A short time later, I went to the room next door (my friend) to hold the fort so that I could go to reception. At that moment, a young man stood in front of me and asked me reproachfully what I was doing there. Great. Up until then, I had been pliable, but that was enough for me. He didn't identify himself as a hotel employee, so I asked him about that first. Then I told him that I was standing in front of my paid hotel room and was wondering how complete strangers could get into my room. He didn't have an answer to that, and he couldn't explain his cheeky behavior to me in a plausible way. He then left and wanted to clarify the incident. I went to reception later, as nothing happened. There he tried to make it clear to me that I had booked twice. I said no, but he insisted: "You booked twice." I tried to explain to him that this was not the case, but he would not listen. It may have been because of his poor German skills, or maybe I had not explained it simply enough. Afterwards he gave me a new card anyway, so I could go back to my room. During my stay I was always happy when my card worked when I returned and all my things were still there. Conclusion: Absolute disaster, mistakes do happen, but the system should not allow them. And then there was the employee's wrong tone with the constant accusations instead of looking within himself. It turned out afterwards that an employee had cancelled my room, even though I had occupied it, and then reassigned it. So nothing was booked twice. Great! Never again!!!

Positive: The location is amazing. Reeperbahn and cathedral, as well as the landing stage, are within walking distance. You can also get anywhere by bike in 20 minutes or less and there are excellent public transport connections. You can rent bikes next door (ibis) for 12 euros for 24 hours. Service is friendly and courteous. The parking garage is cheap with the hotel discount. We paid 18 euros for 4 days. Despite being so close to the Reeperbahn, it is quiet at night. Reception is open 24 hours. Negative: There are buttons on the bed to control the various light sources. This is a positive thing. However, the buttons emit indirect light at night, which could be annoying for people who want to sleep in the dark.

Great location for visiting the Millerntor Stadium and later the Reeperbahn - the cleanliness of the rooms and the friendliness of the staff is excellent - the price-performance ratio is not optimal in my opinion due to the competitors in the nearby area
