[Non-Smoking]Moon Crown/Japanese Modern Twin[Modern][Twin Room][Non-Smoking][Mountain View]
It was a wonderful inn with great hospitality right from the moment we were picked up. Although it was a large building, our room was located in a single elevator away from the hot springs, dining area, and lobby, making it very convenient to move around the building.
The room was clean.
I would have liked some socks to wear after taking a bath as an amenity.
Also, there was no mat in the bath area, so it felt a bit dirty.
I thought it was great that they were supporting the Noto Peninsula earthquake victims.
The service attitude is highly positive, and I am happy to stay. The food and beverages in the welcome area are rich to meet the needs of every family member. The rear garden is a little surprise for us to take beautiful photos!

We booked online and travelled to Hanamaki by train . We were picked up at the station by the Onsens bus , it is then about a 35 minute ride through the lovely countryside up into the mountains. Greeted warmly by all the staff and booking in went smoothly. Our spacious room was on the 2nd. Floor, it had a lovely view out over the sloping gardens and river, Reception is on the 4th. floor and the hot spring baths are on the basement floor . There is a nice 40 minute walking track around the resort that we did before having a bath, they gave us a walking stick each with little bells on it to keep the bears away, it is a lovely walk through nice garden and forest areas, plenty of good photo opportunities. The hot baths were very good, water temperature was between 40 to 42 degrees, very relaxing , there is everything you need at the baths, like body soap, shampoo, conditioner.hair brush and combs, hairdryer. As per normal they provide the yukata’s to wear to the baths and around the hotel for meals etc . They gave us a sparkling wine welcome drink and there were free icypoles anytime you wanted down in the nice lounge near reception. There is a gift shop there as well . Dinner was partly on the table set out for you then you just partook of a great smorgasboard spread , plenty of variety, scrumptious. Breakfast was a smorgasboard, again very very good The resort bus took us back to Hanamaki station at 9 am. Next morning after five staff members came out and gave us a rousing goodbye, A fabulous stay , we should have been staying longer, Highly recommended.

Inspired by Otani fever, I made a trip to Hanamaki for the first time in 10 years. Hanamaki is famous for its hot springs, but this time I visited Hanamaki Minami Onsenkyo. I stayed at Airinkan. As I headed west along the valley rich in nature, I could see glimpses of snow and the scenery suddenly became deeper in the mountains. It was nice that there was a free shuttle bus from both Hanamaki Station and Shin-Hanamaki Station. This is good news for drinkers. The capacity of the inn was quite large and there were quite a few guests staying there. Both meals were buffet style, but there was a wide selection and I was very satisfied. It was also nice to be able to eat in a semi-private room. Of course, the bath was good. Prices fluctuate like airfare, so it's better to book early. I would like to use their services again when I visit Hanamaki.
This is my second stay at this hotel, having stayed here a few years ago. It seems to have been renovated here and there, and the bed is fluffy and comfortable! The hot spring was also pleasant and I was generally satisfied! However, the dinner buffet does not have Japanese food such as sashimi or sushi, so older guests may feel a little unsatisfied. The steak meat is small, and there are many similar meat dishes such as stew and braised pork, so it seems lacking in variety! I felt that the menu could be improved a little. The breakfast buffet would be better if it had a highlight dish that is more typical of a hot spring inn than the standard menu of a business hotel.
When I was sleeping in the guest room, I could hear the door opening and closing so loud that I couldn't sleep. It's family friendly. A good hotel if you are traveling with children. Not for adults. Dinner was good.
1) Good points ① The sashimi is fresh and sweet. Tempura is crispy. I think it's the best compared to other facilities. ②The staff at the lounge and shop are very welcoming. ③You can see local ingredients such as pickles and shiso rolls. It is delicious. 4) Many of the souvenirs are local, which I like. 2) Bad points ① Unfair plan setting The dinner venue Omakase plan (basic Japanese set meal), which is cheaper than Kamado Dining, may be changed to Kamado Dining. From the inn's perspective, this is probably a measure to avoid waste, but from the customer's perspective, it is unsatisfactory that the meals are the same as those on a cheaper plan even though they are paying a high price to differentiate their meals. Apart from serving rooms, I think it would be fair to make a clear distinction between Kamado dining and Japanese set meals, or if everyone had a buffet or half-buffet for dinner and breakfast at the same venue like Shidodaira did, I think it would be fair. There is food in a stone oven, but I don't really understand why it needs to be a stone oven. I just felt a little hard to cook. ②Unfortunate paid soft drinks Soft drinks are charged at the dining room. This is the only comparable hotel in the prefecture that I have stayed at. I think it would be a good idea to charge a fee for high-value-added items such as alcohol and fresh juices, but I think it would be a good idea to at least make breakfast and free drinks in the lounge free of charge. If you register on line, you will receive a second soft drink, but it seems a little disappointing that you have to pay for the first drink. I think I'm doing my best with cooking, but I feel like it's really holding me back. ③ There are no hand towels in the toilet. ④The towel rack is at the foot of the bathroom. There is no sense of cleanliness. I wish there was a towel rack. ⑤ The indoor bath at "Kawa no Yu" is disappointing. The homepage lacks vibrancy. The windows are covered with green moss and dirt, and there are too many gaps. ⑥ Guests who monopolize the pottery bath and those who do not pour hot water It is not the hotel's responsibility, but guests who monopolize the single-use pottery bath for a long time, and customers who bathe without pouring hot water. Customers who take a bath without towels and go up without wiping themselves. Please post a bulletin board to educate people about proper bathing etiquette. I think it's good that they are particular about the local area, but I want them to be fair from the customer's perspective. This may be unnecessary, but I'd rather make a platinum pork cutlet sandwich than make French toast.
