It was really better than expected. I entered the hotel in the evening when I first arrived. The alley was dark and I was a little disappointed. When I entered, the parking lot service staff enthusiastically helped me park my car. I had very little luggage and I didn’t need help. The service was really super enthusiastic and led me to the front desk to help me with the procedures. He took me into the room and gently introduced the hotel and the room. I was really flattered. The hotel is controlled by Xiaodu intelligently. I can turn on the air conditioner, turn on the TV and close the curtains with just one sentence. It's so convenient! The small items prepared are full of details, including disposable dental floss, masks, wet wipes, and even face towels in the room. The breakfast buffet is particularly delicious, with both Chinese and Western options. I feel like I am a bastard when it comes to this. ,Hahaha I'm lazy as hell and rarely comment. I arrived in Wuzhen in the evening, and the hotel clerk called me back to check whether I arrived at my destination safely. I also have never eaten fine bran from a wild boar, and now all hotels in Hangzhou do this. Okay, keep rolling up! If any friends come here, they will definitely recommend this restaurant.

It was my first trip to Hangzhou. I wanted to celebrate my husband’s birthday here and it was totally impromptu. What I was looking for: 1) a closer location to the West lake - to walk there, not to ride; 2) a balcony or courtyard; 3) and/or at least a beautiful view and surroundings; 4) as we love tea and really interested in Chinese tea culture, some tea plantation nearby could be a plus! Not many hotels seemed to meet my requirements and those which fit were way beyond our budget. Xunzhenshe hotel looked very pretty but their description was not very clear. Anyway, considering that I was booking our room just a day (!) before our arrival on Friday night, Xunzhenshe seemed to be my only choice with just two rooms left. To be honest, I didn’t expect much when we arrived. However, from the beginning the service was outstanding with a personal approach. At the hotel they greeted us as we were VIPs. Celia, an English-speaking lady, who contacted me after my booking, was extremely helpful. She gave us few recommendations about Hangzhou and the area nearby. She showed us the tea plantation just next to the hotel and a room where farmers were drying tea leaves - it was quite short but interesting introduction to the hotel environment. The hotel itself is owned and managed by a former architect. The building was built based on construction principles of the Song dynasty. As I understand, all ground floor units have their own courtyard. There is a parking lot, a tea room and a restaurant at the hotel. We were given a non-smoking one-bedroom apartment in a quieter part of the hotel and could enjoy our morning tea in our small but elegant courtyard. The apartment was clean with all necessary amenities. There was a kitchen and a dining room with a huge table (we didn’t use this room though). The breakfast buffet was included in the rate, however they offered mostly Chinese food (no problem for us as we love it). Our dinner and breakfast food were delicious! Also, we so much appreciate totally unexpected birthday presents to my husband. Upon arrival he found a little gift with a touching handwritten birthday message and then birthday noodles were served at the restaurant. So, it was very unique and memorable celebration! After all, I was really happy with my hotel’s choice. To conclude what we loved the most about this hotel: 1. Attentive and caring service 2. Nature and beautiful surroundings 3. Very good location: just next to the West lake park and bridges. Walkable distance to the famous night show Impression and Su Causeway. Not far away to Leifeng pagoda and Longjing and Meijiawu villages. 4. Good Chinese restaurant with a terrace just next to the tea plantation 5. Amazing tea Me and my husband had a great time in Xunzhenshe. Highly recommend it to those who love places with soul.

The staff are very helpful, friendly and super-courteous. Booking and check-in were easy. The room was an attic with small windows on the third floor, fine for one but probably too cramped for more. It has a small adjacent shower room with pedestal toilet and basin. It was quite hot in the afternoon in late October but the aircon was great. A cleaner replaces the ”eco-friendly” disposable towels (compostable? in plastic? I don't know), water bottles, etc. and empties bins daily, so it is well serviced. There is a little shopping neighbourhood further to the northwest (keep walking to the end of the little Boulevarde and keep going through the plaza with the dancer statue), handy for basics and dining. This minsu has a lovely little cafe downstairs. There is also a washing machine. The bed was firm and very comfortable. If you are more than about 1.65m in height the attic room may be uncomfortable. The minsu is on the road leading to the 灵隐寺庙 complex, which is about a five hour mountain walk and well worth exploring --- just not on the weekend when it is SO crowded.

The store owner is really nice and welcoming. The room is also very clean and the bedding is very comfortable and fluffy. There is also a place under the house where you can drink tea and chat! It’s really great and cost-effective. The cute cats in front of and behind the house are not afraid of people at all. The store even specially gave us some cat food for us to feed. This hotel was overall an amazing experience! The staff were so helpful and welcoming right from check in. The room was a great size, we got the two bed size. The room did not smell bad, and there were plenty of amenities offered for whatever we needed. A really nice touch was that there was real tea offered and a real tea set to serve it with, which is very fitting considering the name of the hotel! Breakfast was great each morning and was very yummy with a good selection. And the location - it is super accessible and puts you right in the middle of the west lake area, with endless things to do. Overall an awesome experience!
