I have had to resubmit this as the first did not meet the requirements apparently???!! The hotel was not a pleasant experience because it did not meet the expectations. The pictures on the website and expectation are grossly inaccurate. The breakfast was limited and not anywhere near a 4 star. I would not recommend and wish I had read more reviews before. I would have found this extremely helpful.

The hotel is in a very central location and the breakfast is quite good. The hotel staff booked a good mid range Ha Long bay tour for us and were very kind in letting us use a room when we returned to freshen up before our flight. The rooms were a bit dated but functionally ok for a 3 star hotel

Royal palace Hanoi is a good hotel, Mr Max (Hotel Manager) is a amazing guy. He sepaks good English which is rare in Vietnam. He has given all the information and guided us nicely. Hotel is in heart if the city so you don't need to go anywhere for shopping. There is no point in looking for local market of malls. You will get all the stuff on same road ( Hong Bong Street)
