Wonderful - everything you need and more in this fantastic apartment. Super comfortable beds, spotlessly clean, well equipped kitchen - even had a dishwasher! Owners are so nice, and really have thought of everything to make your stay fabulous. Location is so convenient for shops, restaurants, train station and Convention Centre. This was our third time staying here, and thoroughly recommend the apartments if you come to visit Harrogate

We had been looking forward to staying in an up-market four-star hotel in up-market Harrogate; we were sorely disappointed. Things started to go wrong before we checked-in; we enquired about secure parking; we were told that the secure parking was directly in front of the hotel, not our idea of secure. We were, somewhat curtly, informed that it was full and that we would have to park on the street. No mention was made of use of the off-street parking availability at the sister hotel a few hundred meters down the hill, which we later understood could be used at the residents’ rate (£15 per night). We checked in to our “Deluxe Double Room”, our idea of “deluxe” is at complete variance to what we found; there was absolutely nothing deluxe about the room. The heating was off and the room cold. It was sp****ly furnished with, furniture that at best was Ikea, but more likely MFI. The windows were ill-fitting and had large gaps at the sides and bottom, allowing cold air in. The bathroom was sp****ly equipped with taps that are more style than functionality, it was impossible to turn the shower tap off with wet hands. The toilet seat was loose. The towel rail barely took the chill off the room. The room was not serviced on day two, for no apparent reason. We were later informed that the room was deluxe as it has a view to the front. The breakfast facilities are grossly inadequate, such that guests are required to request an allocated time. The self-service area is cramped and congested. There was only one toasting machine that required the bread to be put in twice to achieve acceptable results, increasing the congestion. We were allocated a slot towards the end of the breakfast period, some of the cooked food was not available and we were told that because it was the end of breakfast, no more would be cooked. Very far divorced from four-star service. To my mind, an English breakfast requires marmalade, the little pots of orange coloured jelly are what I might expect in a cheap boarding-house, not a four-star hotel. This hotel is one to avoid, it lets Harrogate and Yorkshire down in a big way. p.s I sent a copy of this to the duty managers for their comment before I posted it; they did not bother to reply.

The hotel looks fantastic on the outside. The rooms on the inside are very average, as was the breakfast. This was a hotel which ought to have the wow factor but doesn’t. Nothing to complain about, but I probably wouldn’t want to spend more than the odd night there. The on site parking is very limited but it turned out it was cheaper to park in the public car park just around the corner once we realised there were no spaces left on arrival.

We stayed at the Studley Hotel for two nights and found the hotel to be clean and comfortable. The cleaners we have to say provided a first class service and our room was immaculate when it was made up during our stay. The Orchid restaurant food was delicious and the service very good. We would have given more stars but for the check out experience whereby the receptionist told us she had been advised by the barman that “our friends had left the hotel and said we were to pay a £58.00 bar bill” ; we were absolutely astonished as we hadn’t had any friends staying with us at the hotel. After some discussion she agreed and we didn’t pay “our friends” £58.00 bar bill. However, the receptionist then produced two further bar bills for £19.50 and £10.50 which again was confusing as I always paid the bar bill immediately when I ordered drinks. However; I showed her the deductions on my bank statement account on my phone for the £19.50 but couldn’t find the £10.50 which I then paid her because we had intended to leave £10.00 tip for the room service cleaners who did a fantastic job. Hence the £10.50 we paid for the bar bill we didn’t recognise was this money we had for the cleaners tip. We tipped the Orchid restaurant staff £20 for very good service and we tipped the barman £5.00 which considering the barman’s comments to the reception staff giving us “our friend’s” bar bill we wondered whether we should have tipped the barman. Apart from the financial confusion above we found the hotel very good but a tip on future trips to keep all bar drink receipts. Special mention to the room cleaning staff and the Orchid restaurant staff.

From check in to check out, what a friendly, olde world place this is, Arrived early into a very small courtyard car park which we did find a space, though there is ample parking next door as the owners have bought next door to re develop, shown straight to our room by a lovely, friendly lady Our room was on the road, to the left of the archway, we had our own front door which took us in to a lovely little hallway and a delightful room, probably one of the cleanest we've stayed in and I've stayed in lots of high end hotels, The noise from the road at night could have been a problem but we were provided with ear plugs which we didn't use, The breakfast choice was amazing for a B & B, all freshly cooked to order and Karen our waitress was lovely, felt we'd known her all our lives, a lovely lady, a credit to the business, Right opposite the bus station so if you wanted to go to York or Harrogate, buses on the doorstep, Plenty of eating places and pubs, quiz night and market day on Wednesday with its own town crier, what a treat Knaresborough....what a beautiful place, plenty of walks along the river nydd, beautiful buildings and of course the viaduct, Castle and gardens, was probably the hottest day of the year so we couldn't manage a further walk to mother shiptons caves but that will be for another day

A really lovely, rustic, warm venue, a little out of Harrogate away from the busyness. It's easy to find as it's just off the A61. We had a super-king room, it was in a little out-house next to the Inn, you walk past a pretty garden surrounded by fairy lights. The room had a very log cabin feel, clean and quiet with a lovely view of the garden. We had dinner in the Inn (the mushroom and spinach pie was incredible) prices were reasonable; £18 for a Pie meal and a drink on a Monday. Breakfast from 8 - 10am, it was the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel! We ordered Smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, presented beautifully and tasted amazing; Cereals, pastries, overnight oats, yogurt and fruit available to help yourself to. The best part of the whole experience was the staff; every encounter we had with a member of staff was a positive one, they did what they could to make your stay an enjoyable one and dealt with any request with hast and were all extremely friendly. Tymo who greeted us and showed us to our room, the tall man and young blonde girl that served us at dinner, the older gentleman who served us at breakfast (super friendly and professional with a great sense of humor) I feel bad that we didn't get all of their names, but we literally couldn't fault any of them! A fantastic venue and truly deserving of a 5*, we would highly recommend it.

Great location in the Moto services on a roundabout that leads to York, Wetherby and the A1M. Really convenient for going out. Loads of parking, although would be better if there was a dedicated area for hotel guests as the bit nearest the hotel seems to be where everyone wants to park, particularly vans. Basic budget hotel with tea and coffee facilities in the room, a TV and a shower room. Would have said it was clean until I found a babies dummy under the bed on the last morning of our 3-night stay. Odd numbered rooms face the car park. On the ground floor rooms from 021 to 037 overlook the grass between hotel and car park where people stand to smoke and everyone takes their dog to do its business. Got a bit annoying when people stood almost against our window even when it was open. Closed window pretty good at keeping out the noise day and night. Additional door in the corridor just before room 021 also cut down on the early morning shouting of people leaving their rooms. Room surprisingly quiet. Did have one issue but it was sorted out pretty swiftly by management with no argument, so can't fault them on service. Breakfast is available for £7 but not much variety. Some cereals, yogurt, fruit, cheese and bread/cakes. Greggs next door much cheaper.

Recently stay here. And with it being a Britannia my expectations weren’t high. But I’ve got to say what a great experience. James the manager went above and beyond to make our stay an enjoyable one. I went to tell him myself the next day. However when I asked a member of staff where he was she said he was unavailable as he was at their sister hotel which he also runs. What a hero!

Excellent
张张I originally wanted to order Rudding Park, but I have seen the room type and I have been entangled for a long time. I chose West Park and then I was alone in the RP official website. The same 4 stars difference is too much. The suite is very low cost and the restaurant that WP comes with is very expensive. Brunch ate 30+ pounds
After an awful experience in our first Travelodge in Bristol last year where the room was dirty and the hotel in general very scruffy, we were pleasantly surprised with this Travelodge in Harrogate. We assume the location is also influential in a better and cleaner hotel. Our room was very clean and the buffet breakfast was very good 👍. We also had our evening meal there and my pizza was enormous and good. My husband is quite fussy and his pasta was very nice so he was a happy chap 😊 Reception was very helpful so our stay was very pleasant. This is the best Travelodge we have stayed in so far. We did stay at a different Travelodge outside Bristol for our rock and roll trip early this year and although the room was very clean the breakfast area was not that good. Our thanks to Travelodge Harrogate 👍🙂
GGuest UserThis charming hotel was in the ideal spot, in the heart of Harrogate. The staff make the initial great impression, very welcoming, helpful and approachable. The reception, drawing room, dining areas are beautifully decorated and well presented. Soon as you hit the bedroom floors you start to see that it's a little run down, specifically the carpets could do with a replacement and walls could have a refreshed lick of paint. My room on the 1st floor definitely seen better days and the walls are very thin and the lights are on all night in hallway which isn't great and you will be guaranteed a sleepless night unless you're a deep sleeper. They do provide you with ear plugs and cover set for your eyes but it wasn't much helpful in my case unfortunately. The room itself is well equipped with a fan which I appreciated as the rooms get very warm at night and there was no hope in opening the windows. Please clean the bins thoroughly as the limescale on the bathroom bin in room 126 was bit gross. I do hope that there are future plans to redecorate the bedrooms and hallway as this would really lift the hotel to a better standard. Breakfast was great and the menu throughout the day must change regularly as you can only view once you arrive. There is a bar menu and 3 course dining menu. The bar menu is recommended as it has a variety of choice for all types of taste buds. I would come back as overall it did meet my needs, just don't expect that this is a 4star hotel, it's the service and location that make this hotel a good stay.
CChristine.whiteheadGreeted with a friendly face and directed to reception. It’s a massive hotel old but clean and interesting. Our room 333 over looking the back of the hotel green lawn. The only thing I wasn’t keen on was the tea making facilities, which were polostrine cups like takeaway ones. Maybe from Covid, and the tea milk and sugar in a tied up bag, no tray. But later on we ordered sandwiches from the bar and he said that he could get them to our room if we wanted to rather than wait in the bar for them. That’s when I asked for a real cup and he said that he would send two up with our sandwiches. Nothing is to much trouble, I would and will be staying here again.
