I recently stayed at the Westin in Richmond VA as the location chosen by the family/ church for my niece's funeral. Although many of the staff member were very empathetic and supportive during our time of bereavement, Matthew was very exceptional in trying to provide the extra personal interaction that exceeded the normal experience. As an Marriott Ambassador member, I have travelled rather extensively and therefore am aware of the standards expected. His kindness and attentiveness to detail and service made this difficult time of bereavement much easier to bear. I appreciate also the accomodating flexibility of the other members of the staff as well. I will return again.

Traveling through Richmond and this place was listed on the highway, we figured it would be perfect. It wasn't actually on the highway - but close enough. No connecting rooms available - so we all had to squish into a suite (family of 5) There were enough beds but it just felt cramped. The hotel needs an update. The pool was closed - under maintenance - fine by us, but if you want a pool don't go here. The vibe was just old and a bit creepy. Hard to describe, the couch was material and pleather - really old feeling. I needed another shower after staying here. The TV didn't work well - very few channels. Breakfast was fine - nothing special. Checkout was at noon which we loved because we liked having a lazy morning. So just a Meh hotel. served it's purpose but wouldn't recommend as a must stay!

My son and I stopped at Springhill Suites on our way from Georgia to New Jersey. We enjoyed the pool and spa. We had a great night sleep. Ceecee welcomed us to Breakfast (sausage, oatmeal and my son's favorite AppleJacks cereal). So many friendly and smiling faces. Overall great hotel to stay at and we would highly recommend you stay here when traveling into Virginia.

What a fun adventure the Moxy is. This was my 1st time staying at a Moxy. I am a loyal Marriott business traveler. If you have never stayed here, I would recommend trying it for an upbeat fresh change. The hotel is centered around a vivid bar and lobby experience. The lobby decore in itself is worth the stop in. The service was great. From check-in to the the bar staff. Streamlined and friendly. Be sure to stop in and see Whitney, Becca and Ian. The rooms are simple but functional. If you are using the room for business (needing a desk), it will be a little tight but there are more than enough areas in the lobby to plug in and get some emails done. Also, if you get a chance to eat at Lillie's Pearl, it will be the best braised short ribs and banana pudding that you will ever have.
Embark on a historic getaway at Courtyard Richmond Downtown. Located at the core of the city, our hotel is among the hustle and the bustle of Shockoe Slip, a thriving retail and entertainment district. Business travelers will appreciate being steps from the Virginia State Capitol, VCU Medical Center and the Greater Richmond Convention Center while leisure travelers can easily bike to the Virginia Capital Trail. Proudly housing the Valentine First Freedom Center, our hotel showcases River Citys significant legacy and bright future. Unwind and recharge in our modern hotel rooms after a successful day of handshaking and dealmaking. Expansive windows and spacious accommodations will create an enriching ambiance to propel your travels. Enjoy onsite dining at The Bistro or if you are in a hurry stop by our Market for grab and go options. Mix business with pleasure and accomplish tasks using our ergonomic workstations and free high-speed WiFi before plunging into our plush bedding for a restful night of sleep.

We visit last night, check in was pleasant enough and the rooms were clean. The beds were very uncomfortable and a disappointment for a Marriott brand hotel. We had breakfast at the bistro & they only had one person working & they filled a complicated coffee order before before they made our food. They then forgot part of the order that was for our 4 year old so the adults had their food but she had to wait longer. The food at the bistro was microwaved & wasn’t worth it. On top of it, the website states that pets aren’t welcome yet we saw several people with dogs and we are highly allergic. We won’t be going back and I am a Marriott Member.

GGuest UserWe had a bad Airbnb experience and needed a reliable, comfortable place to stay for the night. This hotel is at a Golf Course and it is very beautiful!! We got a great price but I chose 1 King instead of 2 Queens on accident. They we're super happy and kindly changed the room at no cost to us.
When we got to our room, a sticker was over our door showing that the room had been cleaned and no one had entered. The beds were huge, plush and very clean. I slept like a baby. The room was very clean, too and the A/C was pumping out the cool air. The room was clean, quiet and cool. We enjoyed it very much!
We've stayed here several years in a row, for an annual event we attend... but this year hit a new low. Wow. We won't be returning. It started with our late-ish Friday evening check-in. The desk agent appeared to be the only identifiable employee in the whole hotel. While she was polite and friendly, she was also clearly exhausted, and trying to grab a bite in-between arrivals. Hey Owners, how about you make sure there's more than one person to help guests arriving on a Friday night, so your poor employees can sit for a few minutes and have their dinner? It got even better once we entered our room: there was someone else's *used* washcloth, hanging on the toiletries in the shower, the tub was half-full of water, we were left with no more than 1/8 of a roll of toilet paper (no back-ups to be found anywhere, so we immediately went downstairs to get more), and the secondary toilet paper holder was dangling off the wall, with a dust pile on the floor below. Did Housekeeping even service this room? We were freaked about the level of cleanliness, but so exhausted after unloading all our stuff, upon our late arrival, that we just tried to pretend it wasn't gross and went to bed. The lobby coffee was terrible and complimentary breakfast was entirely unremarkable, without even a single piece of fresh fruit to be found anywhere... not a banana, not an apple, nothing. There were also no milk alternatives (not that this isn't often the case), so just be prepared if you need something other than cow milk. I did use the app chat feature to tell the hotel about our room issues that evening. And I reported it to the front desk agent the next day. No follow-up or action of any kind. No offer of points, or credit to our bill. Nada. Hamptons are usually pretty responsive, in my experience... not this one. On the upside, the location is great, right next door to the terrific Silver Diner and a hop across the street to a number of other wonderful eateries. Also, the 2nd elevator, that's been out of service for yearrrrs, was finally working again, so there's that. After returning home, I attempted to find another way to let management know about our disappointing experiences. They're hiring a GM, and don't have one in place. Explains a lot. Like I said. We won't be back.
GGuest UserI had a pleasant stay. The hotel is very beautiful, clean, planes go by very low, but there is no problem and noise. Shampoo, body soap and conditioner of DOVE brand. The pool, however, was in maintenance, so I dod not go swimming.
This is a normal stop in my travels and I just felt inclined to write a quick review because Yvette was incredibly wonderful during the entire check in process and was just a great personality to have in front of your guests. I always enjoy staying at this Hampton Inn but her smile made it even better. Additionally, this location still has cookies which is a nice treat when you get off the road for 5 hours! Even though they are currently undergoing renovations they keep it confined neat and still quiet, don’t let that deter you from staying!
GGuest UserFirst, I will say that we traveled through several states and stayed at two other Comfort Suites over a period of 10 days. I had been told that as a Choice member that I could request a late check out. I asked for a 2:00 PM check out but was told no by the night clerk. I had planned to ask again in the morning, but we overslept. Robert came banging on our door at 11:35 AM and was quite rude. He told me that if we were not out of the room by 12:00 PM that I would be charged another night. We had a toddler with us, so it was very stressful for him to demand that we vacate in such a short time. I think he could have allowed us another 10-15 minutes, but he was quite nasty. We scrambled and packed up in the short time and vacated the room at 11:58 PM. The other Comfort Suites we stayed at in SC, and VA Beach treated us very well and explained their policies upfront so there would not be any misunderstanding. I will not stay at this Comfort Suites again (I have family in the area). It was not as nice as the other Comfort Suites in SC and VA Beach.
GGuest UserThe hotel was conveniently located about 10 mins from the airport and close to food and shops perfect for a short visit. For the price and the room I think you get a great deal especially in the surrounding area, stayed in the one bedroom king suite which is setup like a cozy one bedroom apartment with a kitchenette, dining bar, living room area, bathroom outside of the bedroom and the bedroom with king bed. Room was clean and setup was as pictured only complaints are the elevators are broken so we had to carry luggage up 3 flights of stairs and the phones in room don’t work, and there is no service attendant to bring you extra towels or linen you have to go to the front desk to get it yourself. Staff was pleasant, check in was seamless and so is check out would stay again
VVince CattanoCustomer service was good. This is a 2 star hotel so no big expectations. Room was clean, bathroom was a little run down and there was some mold in the shower. ”breakfast” was a let down with just a few pre-packaged selections to go.
JJenniferThe staff was extremely nice and helpful. I really liked that I had the option to have a stove top and full size fridge! Definitely saves on the cost of constantly eating out.
GGuest UserIt’s very funky, but the service is good. This place is literally for construction workers and truck drivers who are taking a break or something. But it’s a decent price and has whatever you need. Best to upgrade to the suite with the couch. You don’t want to be stuck in that little room.
