Amazing
TTravellingmaudeOne of the best hotel experiences I've had, and the first impression set the tone perfectly. Upon arrival, our bags were immediately taken by staff, and before we even reached the front desk, we were warmly greeted, guided to a seating area, and served fresh fruit, cold tea, and a refreshing wet towel — all while check-in was handled seamlessly. That kind of hospitality is rare.
We booked two rooms, both beautifully decorated in a unique cave-themed style. Each room came with a jacuzzi bathtub, excellent shower pressure, and an automatic bidet with a heated seat — thoughtful touches that made a real difference. The air-conditioning was wonderfully cold, a true relief in Vietnam's heat.
The toiletries were paraben-free, which I genuinely appreciated, and the hairdryer was a solid Dyson dupe, very functional and stylish. Room size was comfortable for two guests.
Breakfast was included, as was afternoon tea — both a lovely bonus. The location is incredibly convenient, within walking distance of Malaysia Street's halal eateries and Ben Thanh Market.
Exceptional value for money. Highly recommended, and I will absolutely be returning. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
CCarolFungMYPro:
1. 1km walk to Ben Thant Market and Le Loi Street (unique fashion boutiques)
2. 350m walk to Saigon Opera
3. 450m walk to the River
4. Next door is massage place (don't take body massage, their hot stone foot massage is far more better). My therapist number is #3
5. Lots of places to eat (Japanese area)
6. Has a roof top swimming pool (small but cosy)
7. Hotel staff recommendation and authorised money changer, ask them for the address, short 350m walk
Cons:
1. The hotel only provides 2 mineral water per day. Can't ask more.
2. They don't have adhesive tape nor a scissor for us to pack up our shopping haul
3. Very noisy during weekend. Windows are not sound proof
JJacqueline MerrittThe location is good, the room is very clean. The service is good too. I am happy with all of this.
What made me unhappy and inconvenient, the reasons I gave two stars for amenties are as follows:
1) toilet - clean yes, but the water pump is top strong and inconvenient to press, feel like I am pressing a broken handle water pump.
2) trash bin - in the toilet, it is difficult to push down the cover, too strong, so always ended up touching my hand with the cover where most of the trashed from the toilet were in contact with while pushing down. In the room, the cover, always need to use hands to remove the cover.
3) Electricity plug sockets - should have at least two free, one each by each bed. But what we had to use is the one for TV plug, the one for night light bulb (between the bed). Only one free socket by the mirror in the bedroom. So very inconvenience for two persons to charge our phones or laptops.
AAli ShifaazMy brother and his wife stayed at La Vela Saigon Hotel for their honeymoon, and they had an absolutely amazing experience. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile.
The rooftop pool and city views were breathtaking, especially at night. The food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere made their honeymoon feel extra special and memorable.
Thank you to the entire team at La Vela Saigon Hotel for making their trip to Ho Chi Minh City so wonderful. Highly recommended for couples and honeymooners!
AAnonymous UserRoom is big, over-looking the walking park and opposite the cafe apartment. Breakfast covers a wide variety and some of the menu changes daily. Walking distance to the river, opera house, Takashimaya mall, Saigon Square... Hotel staff is friendly and always smiling. Please note there a short flight of stairs to the lobby from the pavement but the hotel staff is ready to help.
GGuest UserThe room layout was quite refreshing, and it didn't feel cramped upon entering. The bed was neatly made, and the lighting was soft, making for a very relaxing stay. The bathroom was kept clean, the hot water was consistent, and the hairdryer was easy to use. The environment was quiet at night, making for a smooth and comfortable overall stay.
GGuest UserSuper clean rooms, comfy beds, and the rooms are really big—and affordable too. I’m pretty picky, but I’d rate it 9/10. The bedrooms both had full windows though, which was great since I really prefer having windows where I sleep. Location-wise, it’s close to everything!! Just 5 minutes to the center like the post office, Notre Dame, and Ben Thanh!!
Super big thanks to Khang!! He’s so kind. He even helped us fix our baggage and gave directions to nearby ATMs and convenience stores. Will definitely book here again if I go back to Ho Chi Minh 😊
*****赏樱花I went to Ho Chi Minh City with friends, but I didn't do my research well 😂. The hotel's location wasn't ideal; there was always traffic congestion, and it was quite far from the city center. If I were to go again, I think I would choose the Ben Thanh area. Otherwise, it was okay. It seems the hotel doesn't provide housekeeping for consecutive stays; we stayed two nights and they didn't give us new towels, so we had to ask the front desk for them when we got back at night.
BBerryman06The hotel would be great, if it didn’t have a few major issues. In the room one night we left a half eaten bag of biscuits on the bed side table and found it covered with small bugs in the morning, as well as a cockroach on the floor. As well, the sheets had what appeared to be blood stains from the previous visitors, which wasn’t great. Finally, a small thing was the room was quite dark, as the curtain couldn’t be opened.
The location of the hotel however was great.
