Checked out this morning as I had an appointment at Liverpool Hospital, beds were very comfy and the Hotel was very welcoming, lovely fish aquarium in the lobby which was very fitting with the theme. Breakfast was great with very lovely food and lovely wait staff, in particular a lovely tall brown haired girl, I forgot to ask her name, stood and had a conversation with me then gave me directions to the hotel and offered to call my taxi for me. Would recommend to any weary travellers looking for a good nights sleep and a lovely cooked breakfast.

We previously stayed here a few times before Covid and were so happy to return. We really like this hotel and the lovely friendly staff who always make the stay special. Our king room was spotless, spacious and comfortable and nice and warm. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice and we also ate at the hotel in the evening. A good menu, reasonably priced and the meals went down very well. We love the bar, dining room on the second floor where we could sit and watch the world go by! We look forward to returning.

This is an old grand hotel. Great location an easy walk to many popular destinations. The room is huge with high ceilings and the bed was comfortable. Please know that this hotel is huge and you literally have to walk around the halls to find an elevator. The furniture in the rooms needs some updating and the flooring in front of the elevators on each floor desperately needs renovation but this property overall is a good value.

Clean hotel and accessible to centre. If you’re going to book for Rooftop make sure it’s suite room as the double room wasn’t that nice view in the balcony. Friendly staff in the breakfast area and to the receptionist who assist us 10th July 2024 (Wednesday) at 15:00 he’s approachable and accommodating I forgot his name he has tattoo. But a bit disappointed. Only continental breakfast you can have it if you’re in a hurry. But for hot breakfast you need to order in the menu and that’s the time they prepare it and serve for you I suggest it’s better everything is ready and hotel guest will just get it by themselves. Second one the receptionist who’s on shift at 11th July 2024 at 12:30 in the afternoon wasn’t that nice. it’s 2 ladies receptionist I pass the key on her and she just said thank you. The other lady just look at us without saying Hello. Front-desk receptionist should be accommodating. not even bother to ask us how’s our stay which should be standard to all Hotel service staff. Receptionist are the front one who promote your Business it’s just my opinion Halyard so I think it’s better to inform them.

We are in the middle of a 2 night stay here, with no complaints so far. The room is large and contains all amenities - there is a cafetière if it interests you to bring your own ground coffee. Rooms contain a fridge, combi oven and 2 hobs and all kitchen equipment so that you can prepare your own food. Everything was clean and well serviced. Breakfast is complimentary if you don’t want to make your own, with a good selection including full English and continental options. I booked this hotel due to not wanting to be in the centre of town and it was a great choice, really close to Albert docks and an easy walk to Liverpool one and the restaurant quarter. Car park does have columns but being used to city centre parking it was no bother - the spaces are absolutely fine. Staff are really friendly and will happily accommodate you - somewhat unusual for an English hotel! Thank you Staybridge Suites, a lovely base to explore Liverpool.

We had a quick and professional checkin but we decided to pay a little extra to have a room with a view of the old docks. The room and especially the bed were very comfortable. One reason why we chose this hotel was because of the free and secure parking. It’s also close to Albert Dock. Food and drink were available at the hotel but we chose to eat at a restaurant across the road.
All in all a very pleasant stay and I’d definitely recommend this hotel

All ok except assigned a disabled room for no,reason. All bathroom fittings low level to accommodate wheelchair users which were difficult to use if not in wheelchair also the water tap for showere was very stiff and virtually impossible to turn, off when wet. Room service food very limited due nil chef. Parking worked well but was an extra cost I wasn’t expecting till just before arrival.

HHappy StrongLiverpool, a city that is so beautiful when the weather is fine. When I first arrived at the hotel, because the decoration was outside, the name of the hotel was too small. My son and I didn’t see the hotel in front of you. Then I turned around a big circle and found that I found the right place for the first time. The facilities are good. The room on the fourth floor where we live, even if the decoration does not affect the view, the lower floors are not clear. Hotel location is very good, go to the museum, go to the train station are very close, anyway, we stayed for two days, no car 😄 good experience 👍
GGuest UserArrived at the apartment for a birthday weekend stay. From the offset there were issues. We booked a 10 person apartment for extra space and arrived into the wrong apartment which only slept 8. Fortunately, 2 of our group had dropped out so there was enough space for us to sleep, but regardless of this, it wasn’t what we had booked and were told there was nothing that could be done. We then began to notice the dirt. The floors were filthy, sticky and most definitely had not been cleaned. The towels were stained with lipstick marks and were wet. The bedding was dirty and the mattresses had marks and stains all over them. We contacted the host and they brought a mattress topper and fresh towels to get us by. The next morning we woke up to a leak in one of the bedrooms and damp all up the wall in the living area. The leak was coming from directly above the bed which then made the bed sopping wet. We called the host and the woman we spoke to was incredibly unhelpful but told us a maintenance guy would be coming out to sort the leak, which is clearly a health hazard. We also explained that the towels given were now being used to soak up the leak so requested more. We told the host we didn’t feel comfortable with the cleaning staff going into the apartment whilst we were out and asked if we could be let know when they are due to arrive so we could make sure we were present. 1 hour later we received a message to let us know cleaning service had been into the apartment and given fresh towels and ‘sorted’ the leak. This was unacceptable as we had previously stated we didn’t want the cleaners in whilst we were out which they completely disregarded. When we got back to the apartment the leak which was ‘sorted out’ was a mop bucket put directly in the middle of the room and the bed shifted about. No extra cleaning had been done at all. We asked to speak to a manager which we were told wasn’t available and would be available on Sunday. We decided to take this dispute through Airbnb instead of directly through the host as they were not helpful at all. We received a call from the manager 30 minutes after the dispute was put through Airbnb to which he told us he would give a discount on the next day and a round of drinks and some sort of monetary compensation. The next day when we went to check out at the hotel which they also occupy, we walked into reception to have an awful women stood at the desk on the phone discussing and bad mouthing our group. We stood and listened (because of course they didn’t know who we were) until she was finished. We then made it clear who we was to her and explained how unprofessional it is to be having conversations like that at a front desk and in front of a whole group of guests. They gave us a £100 refund (12.50 per guest) which is completely unsatisfactory and we left. We then contacted Airbnb again to which they have sorted more of the issue and have awarded a further refund for the booking. Please please please do

KKennedy83Firstly the bad points-
*The Carpark was full of old furniture from the hotel and empty beer barrier preventing you getting parked,
*The hotel has turned into more of a party venue hotel rather than the beautiful hotel it was when I last came with my daughter 2018.
*tap in the kitchen area in our room only let out hot water and unfortunately the room stunk of what I could only describe as a sewerage smell? Whether the drains needed maintenance I’m not sure but I I just sprayed some deodorant around to help make it not smell quite as bad because I was so tired I didnt want to have to swap rooms.
*There was also no phone to call reception which I found strange and the remote for the tv was missing the back of it.
I put all this bad points down to the fact that when I previously came it was owned by someone who really cared about the maintenance and reputation of the hotel but now I’ve found it’s since been sold it seems the new owner isn’t as bothered and all what the shankley represented before eg, maintenance, luxury, football themed has kind of turned more into a tacky themed hotel and doesn’t feel classy anymore. I’d probably not stay here again as it’s not the same as it was and just the whole feel of hand hotel is different. It’s not the best if you have come with kids as there’s lots of drunken guests in the hotel and it’s noisey but thank goodness it’s a large hotel as you don’t hear the noise from downstairs. We were on level 3.
Our room was lovely and big with a large double bed and 2 twins pushed together, a kitchen area with tea bags and coffee (no biscuits but that didn’t bother us as we had snacks with us
The upsides were-
*Staff were pleasant,
*breakfast was amazing with everything you could possibly as for,
*hotel was mainly quiet on the 3rd floor, room was on the whole clean and had a hair dryer, iron and ironing board with a safe.
* . The bathroom was lovely especially the bath as it was a jacuzzi with a waterfall shower. Everything was clean from what I could see.

GGuest UserIf you are heading to Anfield Stadium for a match, this hotel should be one of your best choices. At the very beginning, I thought it was a bit far away from the city centre, however, in fact there are quite a number of bus service to the city centre with just around 15 mins. Ok, by Google map, 30 mins on foot to Anfield. A bit far away? Trust me, you will end up spending an hour to queue for a bus. 30 mins walking back to the hotel definitely is the best choice. Just next to a supermarket where you can buy bottle water, next to Mcdonald as well. Walking back to the hotel and enjoy a British Pub food is also a nice choice.
Staffs are friendly, and provide useful tips. Helped me to print out my broading pass.
To conclude, my 3 nights stay was worthy!
