"Got there to check in and they couldn't find none of our booking details our names or nothing but she was such a lovely lady didn't get the type of room we asked and paid for but she got us a room so I can't complain on the hotels halves trips behalf is a different story"
"Nice Hotel and very clean hotel, friendly staff, and very good hotel for wheelchair users
only the location of restaurant for breakfast was in the same area as entrance / reception what is not so nice bit strange for such nice Hotel"
"The location
The view for LFC parade
Great view and great atmosphere
The hotel reception
All is good
I have just one point , the security in front of the door for hotel activities should respect the hotel guests , I don’t wear ring for the activity but i am in hotel . He should ask me nicely without pushing me because i didn’t wear ring ."
"Location is superb if you are visiting Albert Dock and the Beetles shop nearby. Also it is close enough to go to John Lewis and other shops/ restaurants. Would recommend this accommodation for those who could occupy on his/her own."
"First place we stayed in where there wasn’t a set of drawers or a wardrobe, couldn’t control the air conditioning the 1st night (was sorted the next again day) and finally the noise from the street around 4am like bins being emptied and goods being loaded. This went on for ages.
Apart from the above we’d still consider Tune due to its location, price and cleanliness maybe the next time request for a room away from the Main Street."
"Check in was terrible with long queues even though we had used the online check in. Waiting for half an hour as each customer had to pay city tax and have all their details input into the computer and a wasteful A4 sheet of paperwork printed in another room, before being presented and stapled with door keys. During the wait there was a woman ranting and yelling at staff about her son who was accommodated in the hotel. She said that he was being allowed to **** ***** in his room. She was escorted out. Only one lift was working which was a pain as I have difficulty walking and was situated on the fifth floor. Lift stunk of ********. Hotel seemed to be accommodating a lot people that had unfortunately found themselves homeless. The room looked dated and the carpet was covered in burns from an iron. The bed was nice and comfortable and the linen was clean. The bathroom tiles were filthy with soap runs and greasy hands prints. Bathroom ceiling was covered in mould. Bathroom in desperate need of updating and deep cleaning. Bath was yellow with age and looked like it was installed when time began. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room were adequate but the containers for the sachets of coffee and tea were very unclean and looked as if they are never rinsed out. There were cigarette burns and stains on the curtains. In general I was really disappointed. We had stayed here about 20 years ago and this is a beautiful hotel with chandeliers and grand decor downstairs. The place just looked neglected and run into the ground with minimal staff, very basic cleanliness and no recent refurbishment."
"Had a wonderful stay Pullman again! The breakfast was great and the rooms were clean. The location is great to explore most of the attractions by the dock."
"Pleasant Stay with a Few Shortcomings
My stay at the hotel it had its pros and cons. On the positive side, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made my experience more enjoyable. Additionally, the complimentary breakfast was outstanding and a great way to start the day.
However, I encountered a couple of issues during my stay. While the room appeared clean overall, the linen had an unpleasant smell, which was off-putting. Furthermore, some areas seemed to be neglected in terms of cleanliness.
Despite these issues, the hotel has potential, and I believe addressing these concerns would significantly improve the guest experience. I would give my stay a rating of 3 to 4 stars, as the friendly staff and delicious breakfast were notable highlights."
"My Stay at Ropewalks Hotel: Totally Worth It!
Just got back from a quick overnight at Ropewalks Hotel in Liverpool and had to share my thoughts! For just £46 — and let's be real, saved a solid chunk thanks to those Trip.com coins — this little spot delivered way more than I expected for a city break.
The location? **Perfect.** Right in the heart of the Ropewalks district, which means you're steps away from some of the coziest bars, indie eateries, and amazing street art. I came for a quick solo adventure, and being so close to everything made it super easy to explore without wasting time on transport.
I stayed **Monday, August 11 to Tuesday, August 12, 2025** — just one night — and check-in after 3 PM was smooth. No waiting, no hassle. Check-out before 11 AM was equally chill. The room itself was modern, comfy, and spotlessly clean — exactly what I needed. Not five-star fancy, but everything worked, it felt cared for, and I actually got a great night's sleep.
One thing I really appreciated? **The transparency.** The bulk was paid upfront, and I only had to hand over £2.40 on-site — no surprise fees. Plus, knowing Trip.com backs it with a price match and stay guarantee gave me peace of mind.
Loved that I could message or call the hotel directly through the app, and the ”Manage Booking” feature made the whole process feel seamless. Felt like I was in control the whole time.
Is this a resort with a spa and champagne service? Nope. But it's not pretending to be. Ropewalks Hotel is a no-nonsense, affordable city stay that **delivers exactly what it promises**: a clean bed in a great location at a fair price.
**Would I book again? In a heartbeat.** If you're planning a fun, quick getaway in Liverpool, this place is definitely worth a look!"
"As a massive Beatles fan we were really looking forward to staying as we were in town for a gig. Front desk staff were fantastic and really helpful! No complaints with them at all. The room was really big however was missing its basic necessities like a bin and toilet brush. The pillows and bed were generally quite uncomfortable. It was so noisy at night. Great location with being next to the cavern club however that meant the bars keep you up until stupid o clock I think it finally went quiet around 3am. The next morning I was shocked to see the state of the duvet we had been sleeping with. Overall a great location with great Beatles connection."

Great
GGiani DeClean hotel and accessible to centre. If you’re going to book for Rooftop make sure it’s suite room as the double room wasn’t that nice view in the balcony. Friendly staff in the breakfast area and to the receptionist who assist us 10th July 2024 (Wednesday) at 15:00 he’s approachable and accommodating I forgot his name he has tattoo. But a bit disappointed. Only continental breakfast you can have it if you’re in a hurry. But for hot breakfast you need to order in the menu and that’s the time they prepare it and serve for you I suggest it’s better everything is ready and hotel guest will just get it by themselves. Second one the receptionist who’s on shift at 11th July 2024 at 12:30 in the afternoon wasn’t that nice. it’s 2 ladies receptionist I pass the key on her and she just said thank you. The other lady just look at us without saying Hello. Front-desk receptionist should be accommodating. not even bother to ask us how’s our stay which should be standard to all Hotel service staff. Receptionist are the front one who promote your Business it’s just my opinion Halyard so I think it’s better to inform them.

GGuest UserWow what a find! Really cool hotel. Bedrooms were huge and well appointed. Bar and restaurant were really good, great service from Staff and really lovely breakfast available. Hotel was a rum warehouse previously and the concierge (Michael/martin .. sorry I can’t remember his name) went out of his way to tell us about the hotel and its famous staircase and about the history of the area. I’d wholeheartedly recommend. Finishing touch was very reasonably priced on site parking.
GGuest UserWonderful helpful staff, a lovely apartment overlooking the water and next door to the M&S arena.
Chloe was outstanding in her job by being caring and helpful.
Will definitely stay again👍

KKennedy83Firstly the bad points-
*The Carpark was full of old furniture from the hotel and empty beer barrier preventing you getting parked,
*The hotel has turned into more of a party venue hotel rather than the beautiful hotel it was when I last came with my daughter 2018.
*tap in the kitchen area in our room only let out hot water and unfortunately the room stunk of what I could only describe as a sewerage smell? Whether the drains needed maintenance I’m not sure but I I just sprayed some deodorant around to help make it not smell quite as bad because I was so tired I didnt want to have to swap rooms.
*There was also no phone to call reception which I found strange and the remote for the tv was missing the back of it.
I put all this bad points down to the fact that when I previously came it was owned by someone who really cared about the maintenance and reputation of the hotel but now I’ve found it’s since been sold it seems the new owner isn’t as bothered and all what the shankley represented before eg, maintenance, luxury, football themed has kind of turned more into a tacky themed hotel and doesn’t feel classy anymore. I’d probably not stay here again as it’s not the same as it was and just the whole feel of hand hotel is different. It’s not the best if you have come with kids as there’s lots of drunken guests in the hotel and it’s noisey but thank goodness it’s a large hotel as you don’t hear the noise from downstairs. We were on level 3.
Our room was lovely and big with a large double bed and 2 twins pushed together, a kitchen area with tea bags and coffee (no biscuits but that didn’t bother us as we had snacks with us
The upsides were-
*Staff were pleasant,
*breakfast was amazing with everything you could possibly as for,
*hotel was mainly quiet on the 3rd floor, room was on the whole clean and had a hair dryer, iron and ironing board with a safe.
* . The bathroom was lovely especially the bath as it was a jacuzzi with a waterfall shower. Everything was clean from what I could see.

JJay-PeeMy Two-Night Stay at Phoenix Hotel Liverpool: Central City Experience
Just wrapped up a fantastic two-night stay at Phoenix Hotel Liverpool and wanted to share my thoughts! At £126.90 plus a small £4.80 property fee, it offered excellent value for a city center experience.
The location at 46-48 Foley Street puts you right in the heart of Liverpool, which was perfect for my mini-break. Being centrally located meant I could easily walk to major attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas without relying on transportation. The vibrant city atmosphere was right on my doorstep!
I stayed from **Thursday, August 7 to Saturday, August 9, 2025** — a perfect two-night city escape. Check-in after 3 PM was smooth and welcoming, and the 11 AM check-out time was standard and convenient. The staff were helpful and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived.
The hotel itself (which I could see in the booking thumbnail) had a classic Liverpool charm about it. My room was clean, comfortable, and had all the essentials I needed for a pleasant stay. While not ultra-luxurious, it was well-maintained and provided a cozy base for exploring the city.
What I appreciated was the **transparent pricing** — I knew exactly what I was paying upfront (£126.90) and what I'd need to pay at the property (just £4.80). The Trip.com booking process was straightforward, and having their price match and stay guarantee gave me extra confidence in my booking.
The app's ”Message Property” and ”Call Property” features came in handy when I needed some local recommendations. The ”Manage Booking” function made it easy to keep all my travel details organized in one place.
Is it a five-star luxury hotel? No, but it doesn't claim to be. Phoenix Hotel Liverpool delivers exactly what it promises: a comfortable, well-located place to stay at a reasonable price point that lets you experience the best of Liverpool without breaking the bank.
**Would I recommend it?** Absolutely! If you're looking for a centrally located hotel in Liverpool with good amenities and friendly service, this place ticks all the boxes. Perfect for weekend city breaks, concert-goers, or anyone wanting to soak up Liverpool's vibrant atmosphere.
SStuart AyrisReally quaint hotel on the outskirts of the city centre. Good location for Anfield and local restaurants/supermarkets.
Stayed in one of the apartments.
Breakfast basic buffet but ok.
GGuest UserHotel in the city center with friendly staff. We had a spacious room with comfortable beds. Good to know that there is a nightclub in the building (open until 05 am) and during our stay, there were one or several other guests that played loud music from more or less 03 to 06 am. The hotel is great if you are there for a late party night, not so much if you appreciate a good nights sleep.

VVadim ZahharovPlace was exactly as advertised. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth staying if your trip is short.
As for downsides, hostel has limited number of bathrooms and showers - this can cause issues if you have to leave quickly. The ventilation in rooms is basically non-existent, and rooms house up to 10 people, so I’ll leave the air quality to your imagination. Sound isolation is not great, so if somebody has a good time in the kitchen you’ll going to hear that. Bring earplugs if you are light sleeper. Cleanliness is subjective, I’m not that picky, but having crumbs in my bed was disconcerting. Some sinks have filters with hair in them. Haven’t seen anything that would be actually harmful like mold or hygiene products, so that is good.
Location is good. Liverpool is not that big and you’ll get to city centre in under an hour even with most leisurely pace. Do visit the cathedral on your way there. I haven’t seen any shops in immediate vicinity though, but I didn’t need them, so maybe you find some if you look. Bus stop for airport is fairly close, so that is a plus as well.
Overall, this is a hostel. You can sleep there, store your stuff and maybe have a chat with interesting people. Price is fair for experience.
