had an amazing stay! service provided 管家小李 was exceptional. explained everything very clearly to me and allowed me to clarify any doubts, and even recommended me a route to hike! it was also great that the hotel brought us to sunset/sunrise spots. very very satisfied!

Everything about the hotel exceeded my expectations. From the quality of the hotel’s breakfast and location to the responsiveness of our assigned caretaker: 小河(XiaoHe). Upon arrival I added 小河’s WeChat and was shown - on a map - what I could expect to see given the length of our stay. I was even given information about the likelihood of a clear sunset/sunrise - and when my girlfriend needed it 小河 called the mountain clinic to purchase Pain killers! My favorite part of the hotel will have to be its location. It’s a 30 minute walk from YunGu cablecar, a 10 minute walk from a good sunset/sunrise spot!

Xiao Li is really helpful, provided a lot of guidance during the stay. Hotel have staffs who will bring you to the nearest mountain to catch sunset/sunrise

First of all, fairly easy to get to, and the manager will direct you on the routes to take. The day was sunny and we went about to West Canyon. This is a must see and fun. The rest is pedestrian. We went to see the sunset with the hotel. Not much happened. It rained in the morning, so no sunrise tour. However, after the rain was the mist, giving credit to its fame.

Service was great! Upon arriving I was brought to my room, given a welcome gift, and had a few routes around the summit explained to me. The hotel also organizes walks to see the sunrise and sunset. The room was comfy and clean. Breakfast buffet was delish

I was greeted warmly by 管家小李 at the reception when I first walked into the hotel. His services from unahering to the hotel room, to sharing weather forecasts and beautiful pictures of Huangshan to leading hotel guests to watch the much anticipated sunrise all exceeded my expectations! The hotel room is well equipped with the amenities needed, plus they even provided a bucket for foot bath upon request. They gave me a tulip as the night I checked in was mothers' day. If I ever visit Huangshan again, I will definitely stay in 狮林大酒店.

Well, if you want to stay at the mountain, expert it to be a bit pricier. We had a small room with no view. There was a bad sewer-smell in the room. Breakfast was okay. Service and staff were nice.

It was a pleasure stay at this hotel. I arrived at 10 o’clock in the morning in the morning and they let me check in and put my stuff in the room. The manager Xiao Li (小李) was very friendly and helpful, the added my WeChat and sent me updated weather forecasts he also marked a hiking routes on the map. There’s everything you need there: a heater for drying your wet clothes, which is very helpful, and jackets for seeing sunrise; but there wasn’t any drinking water in the room, maybe i shouldn’t have asked for it but I didn’t. A small gift form the hotel is two kinds of tea. You can have a buffet dinner there for 160 per person.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel on the mountain and were very happy with the location. It's a 30-minute walk from the Yungu cable car and close to many good routes. Easy to find with many signs along the road. The room was clean with wifi access and a window you could open. Free toothbrushes, combs, shower caps and tea was available. They also had jackets to borrow for cold weather. Good food! The breakfast had a nice variety. For dinner you can choose either buffet or à la carte. We were so happy with the customer service, when we arrived Xiao Jiang gave us a map with hiking recommendations, and weather forecasts on wechat. When it rained they gave us great overshoes which kept us dry and from slipping. Thank you Xiao Jiang 😊😊😊

Wasn't expecting much of this mountain top hotel but was pleasantly surprised. The room we had was light and airy and of reasonable size. Toiletries, toothbrush, comb, were all provided. Shower was great, with lots of hot water. The toilet room in our room had a rather musty drain smell, something we found pretty common across our stay in China. There was some slight smoke smell in the hallway but fortunately none in the room, which was something I had been concerned about. Reception and house keeping staff including house keeper Xiao Jiang were all kind, friendly and attentive and more than willing to use translation apps to help communicate with us non-Chinese speakers. Location was excellent. We were provided with suggested routes for walking the mountain given the time we had, and given regular weather updates via WeChat. Warm coats and are a flashlight are provided in the room if you need them. Although we didn't utilize them, the hotel arranges free sunrise and sunset walking tours from the lobby led by one of their staff. Breakfast (included) was all buffet based and dinner (paid extra) we had the buffet option. Being buffets allowed for huge portions, which can be useful after long tiring days on the mountain, many people with multiple heaped plates on their tables. Quality was only decent rather than excellent, and dinner was relatively expensive, but as I had relatively muted expectations I was really quite happy with it. Be aware the breakfast and dinner serving times are quite limited and be sure to get there on the earlier end. Dinner time was 18:30-20:30 at by 19:45 things were already starting to stop being restocked or put away. Overall very happy with out stay. It was a great base to allow us to have an extended exploration of the mountain as opposed to having a rushed day trip.

The best hotel that serve you a full service on Huangshan. I would recomend everyone who wants to stay on Huangshan to book this hotel. As you know that the hotels on Huangshan are qualified as 4-5 stars generally, so the price is quite high. However, it's worth for experiences.

Xiao He jiejie help me a lot like everyone told review. Thank you so much! I booked the Mini Comfy Cozy Single Room Cabana. Too much worry at first because the detail on trip.com said it a smoking type. But don't worry if you are not a fan of smoking just tell Xiao He and she can help you find a non-smoking one. Really appreciated that! The room is so comfy for me. Also the sunset looking point that she recommend is really great!

Good location, friendly stuff and quite good breakfast and dinner buffet (from a foreigners point of view)

I booked 1 night stay at Shilin so that I can view sunset and sunrise. The manager (小何）is very helpful. She arranged to have good location nearby hotel for the sunset and sunrise. It’s snowing and icy cold. The sunrise did not disappoint us. We went up the Lion Rock to try our photography skills. Overall, the experience is super good.
