Had a great stay at The White Horse Inn, booking was easy on the website. All staff were friendly and helpful both on telephone and face to face. The facilities are great considering the difficulties involved with adapting buildings of this age for the expectations of ' modern living'. The rooms are excellent, great views and very clean. We had direct contact with Stuart, Georgia and Ben and all 3 were helpful, friendly and approachable. A winning formula for the future as the current management is in its infancy. Well done Team. An amazing historical Inn within an area of natural beauty. Our room was clean and comfortable, staff are very polite and professional, food is of good quality. Overall our long weekend was a very good experience and we look forward to another stay.

In 1777 Samuel Johnson said to Boswell that " if one is tired of London, one is tired of life". If he were here today, he could well say the very same about Sevenford and the joy of staying there. A very good indicator of just how exceptional the whole experience actually is can be found in the reviews. In well over 700 reports on TripAdvisor, fewer than 4% of respondents failed to give an Excellent rating . Furthermore only ONE person rated Sevenford below Very Good ( shame on you, incidentally! ) . The memories of many visits leads me to say that my belief is that whichever facet of the stay is considered, you will not find a more enjoyable,comfortable or stress-free place for your break away. I know that there are countless returnees amongst the guests and being at Sevenford feels like you have entered a world of informality, relaxation and calm where nothing is too much trouble for the wonderful hosts, Linda and Ian. Year after year, my only regret is leaving the tranquility of all that Sevenford has to offer. And never leave without re-booking for your next visit! I can't speak too highly of this place and I challenge you to find better catering, better rooms , better value, or a better welcome than you will get here.

We’ve stayed at Sevenford so many times we’ve lost count, this in itself says it all. The breakfasts are sumptuous, rooms comfortable with lovely views of Rosedale or the gardens, the service is beyond comment as Linda & Ian are the perfect hosts. In previous reviews I’ve often commented on Ian’s many skills, this time I was amazed at how adept he is with his sit-on mower. Not sure Linda is aware he drives it like a Formula One driver though. Better keep an eye on him there, Linda.

Don’t go there there is poo everywhere and it is a very endangered environment for old people as they may breath in the horrible smell I just fort I would report this as this is a Major incident and the food is so horrible as I found abit of wood in my food .

During this holiday, we discovered the beauty of this part of the UK and the impressive North York Moors. We stayed in Sevenford House, and enjoyed a very warm wellcome, the beauty and the quiet of the house and the garden, the views, the breakfast, visit advice, dinner bookings ... This made our -too short- stay just perfect ! Thank you, Linda and Ian!

Nice views, that’s the one positive out of the way The entrance way is filthy it doesn’t look like it’s been hovered in months or possibly a year? They claim that they still serve sandwiches but the barmen said on Wednesday 14 August at 19:55 and I’ll quote ‘I went to the U.S for a week and when I came back they had stopped serving them, his words not mine, so don’t accuse me of lies. Many reports of food not being served at the specified times, and breakfast is just bread. We stayed at Sevenford House and an elderly couple were put up at very short notice because they refused to stay here another night. We live in London and have no interest in tarnishing your business, your doing a good enough job yourself , just a shame that your giving the Village a bad reputation
