This is where I prefer to Stay Whenever I'm in the area. The staff are very responsive and try to make you as comfortable as possible I have no complaints about the property, besides if it was a inside instead of outside it'll be even more perfect

Hotel is very convenient and always have met my needs. Would definitely recommend to others. The rooms are nice and spacious. The front desk workers are always pleasant. I have no complaints. The best part about this hotel is the early check in.

Definitely not clean. Beware the pictures on the website ABSOLUTELY don’t match the description of the place. If you’re out of town, beware. Was definitely nervous about staying there and I did not. I was lucky to have extra money to go somewhere else. The owners are definitely not into customer is right. Total rip off and absolutely unreasonable to me. If your homeless, this is your spot.

First look at the room and I knew we were in for trouble!! Walk in and there is tape on the smoke detector, the comforter had burn holes all over it, the peep holes were filled with toilet paper, light switch to the bathroom didn't work unless you wiggled it back and forth, no wifi or cable. Pulled back bedding to look for bugs (didn't see any at this point but did seee blood on the sheets) so went to walmart to buy my own bedding to throw over the top of theirs. Didn't sleep real comfortably just had an eerie feeling. Woke up early morning to use restroom and there were roaches crawling on the walls. Enough for me packed my stuff and got out of there!! This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever seen in my entire life!! 100 out of 100 do not recommend this place for a rat let alone your family!!!

After exiting vehicle to enter room I was approached by a disturbed man who appeared to be using a torch to light a pipe, shortly after offering to sell me something. I began receiving questions as to what I do for a living, where I’m coming and going, why I am here, what the “passcode is here”. I did not feel safe entering my second floor room, so stepped back into my vehicle and locked the doors. After, he began attempting to open multiple downstairs units. I went back to the check in office and stated I did not feel safe and would like my money back, that I did not enter the room. The staff refused even after explaining the dangerous situation that I was now being followed. Unfortunately I was forced to pay with cash, drawn from their ATM in the lobby. No receipt was provided to me and no funds were returned. Also unfortunate the local police in Independance, MO did not have the manpower to investigate the situation after a report, and would not assist me further or investigate the business. Save yourself from this crack motel and stay far far away. I would avoid Independance, MO in general in regards to hotel stays under $100 - there were few that were a better option than “Americas Best Value Inn”.
