We stayed here for a week in June 2024. The guest house is small, only four bedrooms, and is run by the owners. The atmosphere is friendly, the rooms clean and the food superb. The only danger is to your waistline! Thank you Chris and Carla for a great stay.

Immaculate in every respect, extreme attention to detail, fabulous food, definitely have dinner here, superb guest lounge with excellent drinks choice including great non alcoholic option. Carla and Chris great hosts and gave good advice about area.Will definitely stay here again.

We are here now and before we move on further north we just wanted to thank you for the most amazing stay. Biggest regret is we didn’t book two nights. There is such attention to detail with the decor, hospitality and five star food. We have never stayed in a more lovely hotel or guest house. Make sure you book dinner with this amazing couple we both couldn’t fault a thing. First class hotels don’t even have this level of detail or level of service. Such a great find.

Beautiful guest house. Carla and Chris are wonderful. Room was very nice, common gathering area beautiful with a large selection of whiskey and gin. Very peaceful with music playing...great selections!! Food was awesome...Chris is a fantastic chef.

We stayed here as party of our Hebridean way cycle and after a long day cycling we were delighted by the comfort and quality of the guest house. They have an indoor storage place for the bikes ( can charge electric bikes if necessary). The furnishings are stylish and everything is immaculately clean. The food is some of the best we’ve had..… the choices at dinner and breakfast were wonderful. Luxury!

Just returned from a 1 night business trip to Benbecula and Barra. This hotel was absolutely amazing. I have stayed in many hotels / b&bs for work and this might be my favourite ever! The place was immaculate, the style was spot on Scottish modern with a traditional twist. The bed was comfy, pillows just right, huge shower, plenty of space everywhere, everything was thought of- even a wee complementary make up wipe and the bedside lamp switch easy to reach. Now for the icing on the cake, the food- just wow, perfect selection on the menu . I’m going back for a holiday now can’t wait! I have purposely called this place a hotel - felt like a 5 star experience, a real treat x

Exceptional. We really did not want to move on, this place is a little gem. Exceptional hosts in Chris & Carla, lovely warm and cosy rooms very well thought out and the food Chris cooked was just amazing. If you can book into Grianaig Guest House, you can consider yourself lucky. My wife and I are seasoned travellers having been around the world and stayed in a wide range of places. This was one of the best! Thank you Chris & Carla for everything and for making us so welcome. When you leave most accommodation you feel there is something that could have been better or something that would have been nice to have. Not here, it was perfect in our opinions.

Absolutely 5 * ! Wonderful hosts who have thought of everything you could need. Beautiful, modern room with a view, lovely lounge area with honesty bar, cakes, teas, coffees etc. Highlight though is the food ! Just WOW ! The standard of food here is world class. Everything cooked fresh and Chef obviously has a passion for his craft ! Breakfast of sourdough toast, smashed avocado poached eggs (freshly laid by the chickens in the back garden) and roast tomatoes, was the best I've ever tasted. The choice for dinner and breakfast was extensive. Faultless and cannot recommend highly enough

Now it’s not often I heap praise on a guest house (through experience) but this particular gem needs a mention. We were travelling for work and being away from home, I wasn’t expecting to find an oasis. This has to be one of the best, if not THE best properties I’ve stayed in. Every detail, every want is catered for. It’s clear that Clara and Chris have gone the extra mile to exacting standards to ensure that our stay was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble, rooms are large and the beds extremely comfortable. Breakfast was also superb. Clara couldn’t be anymore helpful if she tried. If you’re in South Uist, this is the number 1 place to stay. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
