The location is great. Some of the late-night staff were unmotivated, there were power outages, and there was no hot water in the showers. Also, because it's in the center of the old town, all the restaurants around are expensive. If you have time, it's probably better to stay on the Asian side and take the ferry or train here to sightsee. The restaurants on the Asian side are relatively cheaper than here, and there are supermarkets used by locals, so it's easy to live there. The foreign currency exchange rate is also better on the Asian side. If you're short on time, it's a good idea to stay in the center of the old town around here and sightsee efficiently, but...

I liked: location, very central, 10 min walk from Sultanahmet, 10 min walk from Eminonu port (where ferries leave for the Asian side and Galata), close to the Gulhane tram stop; breakfast, mainly savory (typical Turkish based on cheeses, cured meats, vegetables, sauces, scrambled and boiled eggs), but with a good choice of sweets (always present hazelnut cream, jam, peanut butter, corn flakes and choco balls, fruit , mini cakes, sometimes even a breakfast cake), different types of bread, cold milk, fruit juices and hot drinks. Don't expect a croissant with espresso, we are not in Italy, that's why there are many pastry shops scattered around Istanbul. But I can say that the breakfast is really worth it, in terms of abundance and quality; cleanliness, excellent, with daily towel change; staff, super friendly, kind and helpful (due to an unexpected road closure on May 1st, which prevented us from leaving the hotel for check-out, they helped us find a solution, they contacted my transfer to make arrangements and they found us a new hotel to spend the night); I didn't like it: actually nothing relevant for me, but maybe for someone else it might be. Soundproofing of the rooms non-existent, you could hear the shouts of other customers along the corridor, the noises of the bathroom in the next room (shower) and the tram passing right below. Other: very comfortable bed, small room but with all the essentials (functioning fridge, small desk with storage pouf, wardrobe, safe, coat rack and hangers, hairdryer, slippers, bathroom set, vanity kit), daily water refill. Very satisfied with having stayed in this hotel, I would do it again 1000 times and I would recommend it with my eyes closed!!

Well a lot to this review . The experience itself was amazing. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone. The staff very professional, friendly and helpful. The entire facility was always clean. The location was perfect and within walking distance in Old Instanbul to all of the historical sites. I left an item and the staff promptly contacted me and made arrangements to have it sent. Apologies on my part for the confusion over delivery. Great communication before, during and after the stay. Thank you: Mr. Mohamed, Mr. IIham, Mr. Fuat, Mr.Arif (thank you twice!), Mr. Safak, and Mr. Numan.

was disappointed about the dishonest service. we left an item there, and the hotel staff told me I could not pay upon delivery. Cihan and Arif - two staff told me the total was 730 Turkish Lira. I transferred that amount to the bank account of Arif Furkan Tezcan. The package arrived and still had to pay a balance at the DHL office. It turns out Arif only paid 238 Turkish Lira. I paid the rest at the DHL office. Will never stay here again. It is unfortunate because at the end of our stay we generously tipped each of the front desk staff. Will never stay here again. For travelers-stay in Old Istanbul so you are near all of the historical sites but do not stay here.

We only stayed one night, we really enjoyed it! The room is small, clean, has everything you need. We really liked the location, in the very center of the city, we were also greeted by friendly hotel staff, they told us everything, showed us everything, and helped us arrange a transfer to the airport. wifi was good, there were various noises from the street, but this is still the city center, this issue can be solved with good earplugs) We left early in the morning, unfortunately, we didn’t have time to try breakfast, but it was very nice that they gave us a small snack on the way - Breakfast to go, special respect for that) I definitely recommend this hotel!

Good hotel. We were greeted warmly and checked in a couple of hours early. There are only two rooms on the floor and it was quiet. The layout of the rooms ensures that there will be less noise. Unexpectedly cool breakfast. You can speak simple English at the reception.

This hotel is placed ideally for the Topkapi Palace, Haigia Sophia, Blue Mosque and other visitor attractions in that area. There is a tram stop at the corner which is great for getting you to the ferry terminals if you don’t wish to walk there, or near the Grand Bazaar, Sulimaniye Mosque in the other direction. The journeys are very short. We arrived in the middle of the night and were met by one of the reception staff who took our suitcases as the taxi driver could not park on the street. Check in was very swift and efficient. Breakfast is a great variety of continental Turkish fare, with four hot options daily. However if you are expecting a ‘full English’, you will be disappointed. Always a great variety of cold meats, cheeses, olives, breads, cakes etc. The hotel is scrupulously clean. Our towels were changed daily, bedding refreshed regularly and the floors mopped daily too. A small fridge, room safe and air-conditioning are included as well as two bottles of water daily. Despite the hotel being on a busy street with trams running past, we were never disturbed by the noise. There were only some minor *******: lack of plug sockets. I require the use of a medical device at night and there was no available plug socket or indeed bedside table on my side of the bed. I had looked at all the photographs of the rooms on the website, all of which appeared to have a socket at each side of the bed, so at 2.30am when we arrived, this threw me slightly. We had also brought double travel plus with usb charging sockets but were unable to use these as the wall sockets had lift up covers. The lack of a bedside table at my side of the bed meant that I had to put my spectacles and book on the floor when I switched off the light so had to be careful not to stand on them in the morning. The slot for the keycard flashed with a bright blue light all night so we had to cover it with some fabric to try and block it out. This could have been an issue to anyone sensitive to flashing lights. We had to climb a quite steep set of stairs which didn’t have a hand rail, to get to the lift on the side of the building where our room was. This could have been an issue for anyone with mobility problems. However, despite these minor *******, the best thing about this hotel are the reception and kitchen staff who are so pleasant, and can’t do enough for you. They are a real asset to this hotel. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel, firstly for its location, and secondly for the lovely staff.
