Stay here! Customer service is unparalleled. Every front desk employee goes out of her-his way to help facilitate with tea drinking, laundry services, taxi calls, etc. Lobby is amazing spot with a tea shop area, coffeehouse segment, library/movie theater and dining area. Rooms are wonderfully well appointed, with extra large bathroom and fantastically large waterfall shower. Bed is super comfy. I recommend the third floor. Great outdoor patio for drying clothing and shoes. Ideal location for runners/hikers/cyclists. Directly across street is a river with nice boardwalk. Folks swim here, as well. Just about two kilometers out is perhaps the most amazing paved road running course in the world. Follow it way, way out as it stretches into the mountains and farmland areas. Incredible. Hotel is about 20-22km from main entrance to Fanjingshan. However, no big deal taking a taxi there. It’s more than worth it to experience hotel here, surroundings in town and beyond, and also visit park. I recommend at least 3 nights here. Many restaurants and shops are all within easy walking distance. Most difficult part is leaving this place…Highly recommended!

This homestay is very cost-effective. In Jiangkou County, there is a secluded river next to it. The river is clean and tidy. The river is clear and people are swimming. We walk and drink tea by the river every morning and evening. The owner and the proprietress of the hotel treat guests like guests Relatives, buy watermelons and peaches for us to eat every day. There is a laundry room and balcony on the top floor to dry clothes. The kitchen on the first floor is spacious, bright and clean. The bedrooms are also cleaned every day. We are reluctant to leave. We originally planned to live. For two nights, I stayed for four nights. When we checked out, the boss also helped us carry our luggage downstairs (the only lack is that there is no elevator, but there are usually few elevators in the homestay). The room is clean and has everything you need. Comfy bed with decent movies choices, a toilet and shower that aren't totally transparent. The location is pretty far from Fanjingshan though, you have to get an early bus or pay a 80rmb taxi to the east gate. We went to the west gate which cost us 400rmb but that is far away from everything. I'd suggest staying in one of the villages around the east gate for around the same price and save yourself the hassle of getting up and getting to the gate on time to buy a ticket (foreigners can't book tickets online and they sell out fast)
